Single Wish: Rise Of The Omniscient Paragon-Chapter 590 - 589: Satellite
’A lot of coins have gone to waste?’
Corey’s brows rose in confusion as he heard the words of the unknown female named Auriel.
’Who is she? She doesn’t seem to be a human.’
Before meeting with Prince Zeran, Divine told him and Melissa what he knew about the twelve elite Chosens who were in charge of the raid against Maltheron. But, the newcomer, Auriel, was not among the twelve elite Chosens.
Corey had no idea who she was, but the one thing he knew was that she was a Chosen and not a Tainted or a prisoner of the Underworld.
’She doesn’t have rune tattoos, and she also doesn’t have the U-Watch. So, she can only be a Chosen or somebody from outside the Universe who was allowed to participate in the Battle of Chosens.’
’She’s also a Tier 5.’
As Corey had this thought, he heard and saw both Auriel and Eryndor having a conversation despite the presence of Maltheron.
He was uninterested in most of the conversation, however, he was able to learn of the organization behind Auriel.
’The Aurora Holy Land? But I don’t have any information on them… Hmm.’
Corey frowned, and then he glanced at Divine, Melissa, Rosa, and Fatty Black Bonez with a contemplating light in his eyes. He turned and looked at the Stairs of Ascension, and a few seconds later, he released a sigh.
’The risk in saving them is extremely high, and there’s no assurance that I’ll be able to save them even if I try. All of them might decide to attack me if I’m not careful… I should go to the Stairs of Ascension instead.’

After much deliberation, Corey decided to leave and abandon Divine, Melissa, Fatty Black Bonez, and Rosa because of how dangerous and difficult it would be. The more reasonable choice for him to take is the climb the Stairs of Ascension while the Throne, Eryndor, the remaining elite Chosens, and the newcomer, Auriel, are all busy and distracted.
Although he had no idea if he would gain anything substantial in climbing the Stairs of Ascension, he had to leave the Shattered Dimension and advance to the next tier because of the time limit.
Corey was about to stand, but then he saw Auriel spread out her arms, and then flowers began blooming on the battlefield. Golden and green motes of light moved and fell on the bodies of Divine, Melissa, and those who were alive and asleep.
When Corey saw this, curiosity flickered in his eyes, and his pure white eyes glowed with several rapidly changing runes, symbols, numbers, letters, and images.
’A healing skill? She’s a healer?’
Corey was surprised, and then he glanced at the flowers and motes of light around him. Even though he was far away from every other person, Auriel’s healing ability was still able to reach him, and Corey could feel the rate at which his body healed, became faster.
’What a powerful healing skill. It’s a little bit more powerful than Dream Healing.’
Although Auriel’s healing skill was more powerful than his Dream Healing, he knew that the reason for this was because he was a Tier 2, an Astral Being who only had access to Astral mana, while Auriel was a Tier 5, a mystic being who had access to mystic mana.
If he was a Tier 5, the difference between Dream Healing and Auriel’s healing skill would be extremely vast. Besides, Dream Healing could also heal mental fatigue and it could also remove the negative emotions in one to a certain degree.
Corey observed the healing skill of Auriel, and a few seconds later, he noticed movement amongst those who were sleeping. He saw Divine, Melissa, Fatty Black Bonez, and Rosa waking up, and a pondering expression appeared on Corey’s face for three seconds, and then he stood.
Without wasting a single second, he turned and ran to the edge of the formation barrier with a calm and focused expression in his pure white eyes. Although Divine and Melissa were awake and he was slightly relieved, he knew that meeting up with them would make his plans more complicated.
He was certain that Divine and Melissa would want to help Rosa and Fatty Black Bonez, and he would also want to do the same thing, however, his goals were different.
He had already exposed more than what he wanted to those watching in the Underworld, and what he did not want was to expose more of himself, especially to the elite Chosens.
Corey had asked Divine a question before they met up with Prince Zeran, and what he asked was how the Underworld was watching them perform in the Shattered Dimension. Stay connected with novelbuddy
Even with his Eyes of Omniscience, Corey could not see any hidden object, mechanism, or creature that was being used to observe them, and he was confused by this.
After asking Divine, Divine told him that there were objects that were like satellites hovering outside the Shattered Dimension’s orbit, and these satellite-like objects were what was being used to observe them.
Corey had been shaken by this, and his next question was how much the satellites could see and how precise it was.
"Although the satellite-like objects are powerful and really something else, they can’t observe everything and everywhere in the Shattered Dimension. There are some locations they can’t see through. For example, they can’t see what’s happening in some danger zones like the Labyrinth and the Raging Sky because of how unique those places are."
These were Divine’s words to his question, and to Corey’s relief back then, he realized that he may not have exposed so much of his prowess and abilities to the Underworld. However, he had definitely exposed himself that he was not an average Tier 2 in some of the battles he fought that were not against Powers.
An example was when he was fighting Azhrun Tydral and the remaining Chosens. Although he had already exposed some of his abilities and prowess, he had not exposed all of it.
If he was forced to participate in the battle against Maltheron or if he should try and save Fatty Black Bonez and Rosa in the presence of so many Tier 5s and Tier 4 Chosens, he was not sure if he would be able to handle the consequences of it when he returned to the Underworld.
’Divine should be able to handle everything, and if he cannot… Sorry in advance cap… Besides, I left behind something that should help me in case everything goes to shit.’
Just as Corey had this thought, he stopped running and stood right in front of the formation barrier that was stopping him from reaching the Stairs of Ascension.
