Single Wish: Rise Of The Omniscient Paragon-Chapter 591 - 590: Escaping
As Corey stood in front of the formation barrier, his pure white eyes glowed intensely as he analysed and observed the barrier.
The formation barrier was transparent, invisible, and could not be seen with the average eyes. However, though his Eyes of Omniscience, what he was seeing was one of the most complicated set of runes he had ever seen.
His pupils moved in completely different directions and at a speed that made it seem like it was vibrating so fast it left after images.
Corey’s mental energy burned at an extremely ridiculous rate as 98% of his Stars of Consciousness worked on deciphering the runes and formation in front of him.
A simulation only which he could see appeared around him, and in this simulation, the runes of the formation spun around him. The runes joined, shattered, became smaller, bigger, and even their shapes were changed in the simulation.
This continued for a whole ten minutes, and Corey’s eyes began to bleed. A minute later, he blinked and the glow in his eyes vanished. He closed his eyes, and then he exhaled deeply.
He turned to take a look at what was occurring behind him, and when he did, his eyes widened in disbelief when he saw the chaos and destruction that was occurring behind him.
The ground was shattered and beyond ruined, the air was filled with so much chaotic energy that Corey could see colors appearing in the air for a moment before vanishing completely, corpses and blood littered the shattered ground, and attacks flew from one end to the other.
Corey’s gaze shifted from the destruction of the environment to the battle that was occurring. Eryndor and Maltheron were battling with so much intensity that Corey could feel the trembling of the ground from where he was. Find exclusive stories on novelbuddy
Eryndor was not the only person fighting Maltheron, Darius Fenrir of the Werewolves Tribe and Raksha Draven of the Beast Tribe were also fighting Maltheron, however, the severe injuries on all their bodies was a sign that their situation was not any good.
Due to the fact that everybody was now awake, the Tainted, Underworld prisoners, and Outsiders all joined in the battle against Maltheron. Very few of them had the qualifications to battle Maltheron up close, so what most of them did was to form formations, and then they launched their attacks from afar.
As Corey observed all of these, he noticed that Divine and Melissa were not among those fighting Maltheron. Divine was battling Lucian Volcaris of the House of Hellfire to free Rosa, and Melissa was battling Fatty Black Bonez and those who were among Lysandra Faelan’s group.
Melissa’s situation was strange because she did not want to hurt Fatty Black Bonez, but due to the fact that Fatty Black Bonez was brainwashed, he was fighting Melissa with all he had, making it more difficult for Melissa to save him.
Auriel, the Chosen of the Aurora Holy Land tried her best to heal those who had severe injuries and were on the verge of death, and Corey was genuinely surprised by how shocking her efficiency and decision making was.
It made him realize why Auriel was a Chosen.
Corey observed all of these in the span of two seconds, and a second later, he frowned.
’Where is that damn horse?’

Neigh!
The moment Corey had this thought, he heard the sound of a horse neighing, and Corey’s turned to the Temple. The sound has come from the Temple, and with his Ears of Omniscience, he could hear the neighing of the horse with ease.
Corey’s eyes glowed, and he was able to see the interior of the Temple. To his surprise, the ruined Underground Temple was much deeper and larger than he expected, and if he wanted to see where exactly the Nyxmare was located, he would spend a considerable amount of energy and time which he did not have.
The glow in Corey’s pure white eyes reduced, and he shifted his attention to the formation barrier in front of him.
’Divine and the rest should be able to handle everything. Divine is a Son of Heaven with an unfathomable amount of luck, and if the heavens want to, it would assist Divine… Also, having an illusion ability is a really good thing to have.’
One of the reasons why he had not been discovered despite standing out in the open was because he had cast an illusion around himself. There were other factors that contributed to why he had not been found despite how long having gone by, but all that mattered was that he had not been found.
Corey raised his right hand, and then he tapped at the air. The air in front of Corey vibrated intensely, and then a grey light spread from Corey’s fingertip. A few seconds later, a ripple appeared in front of Corey, and Corey quickly stepped inside the ripple.
When he did, the ripple stopped, and he found himself outside the formation barrier. He looked behind him, and what he saw was a vast plain with the ruined Temple of the Old Ones at the center of the plains.
There was no sign, no aura, and no sound of the battle that was taking place around the ruined Temple. The battle and what was occurring had been perfectly isolated from reality.
’What a powerful formation. If I was not a rune master and if not for my talent and connection with spatial energies and forces, it would have taken me much, much, much longer to crack the formation.’
Corey thought, and then he wiped the blood pouring out from his eyes. His Eyes of Omniscience receded, and his Eyes of Dreams and Nightmares took place.
’I should be blind with how much mental energy I used. Luckily for me, I’m a Demi-Paragon with Tri-Pupil Eyes, and my eyes are immortal… But I’m not.’
A wry smile appeared on Corey’s lips, and then he began running with his aura concealed and a veil of Illusion covering his body from those who were watching the ruined Temple of the Old Ones.
