After coating his entire body in his Intent, Corey observed himself for a moment, and the one thing he realized was that his Axe Intent which was being used to coat his body was much weaker than when it was used to coat his axe.

"To the next step then." Corey looked up, and then he walked to next step.

Corey paused, and his Eyes and Ears of Omniscience increased their output as he tried to see or hear anything strange, and a few seconds later… he heard it.

An extremely low, subtle, and familiar thrum drifted into his ears.

’The sound is familiar to the sound my axe intent makes.’

Corey’s eyes glinted with a pondering light for a short moment, and then he took another step forward. When he did, the pressure increased twofold and this time, the faint presence of an axe was slightly stronger.

Corey’s eyes, ears, mind, and senses rapidly scanned and observed this faint presence of an axe in the Will of the Omniweapon Infinity Crystal. He merely paused for two seconds before deciding to take another step forward.

The third step, the fourth step, the fifth step, the sixth step, the seventh step, the eighth step, the ninth step, the tenth step, the eleventh step.

Corey’s main consciousness had stopped counting the number of steps he had taken. His mind was entirely on the aura of an axe he could sense from the pressure bearing down on him.

He spent no more than four seconds on a step, and the further he went, the stronger the aura of the axe became.

The aura of the axe was not the only thing that became stronger as he ascended the steps, the pressure was thirty times stronger than the pressure on the first step, and if Corey’s Intent had not improved, his Intent would have shattered and his mind would have suffered severe injuries.

Corey was in such a focused state that the only thing on his mind was the aura of the axe that was bearing down on his Axe Intent and was threatening to split his Axe Intent and his body in two.

On the fifteenth step, what Corey saw and felt was not the sight of the stairs, but the sight of a massive golden axe hovering above him and trying to split him in two with an immense pressure.

His Axe Intent flared to life, and a manifestation of his Genesis Armament appeared above him. His Genesis Armament manifestation blocked the golden axe, but when it did, a crack appeared on the manifestation of the Genesis Armament.

Corey frowned when he saw this, but his Axe Intent did not stop and after countering some of the attacks of the golden axe, the manifestation of his Genesis Armament slashed the golden axe in two.

The golden axe turned into motes of light which flowed into the manifestation of Corey’s axe intent. Corey watched as the golden motes of light healed his broken Intent and strengthened it.

Although his Intent was strengthened and healed, he knew that if he continued to the next step, he would most likely win against the Will of the Omniweapon Infinity Crystal, but the battle would be longer and more dangerous.

If he won in the next step, then what of the step after that? And the step after that?

’I can’t continue like this… I need a change.’

Corey looked at the manifestation of his axe intent, and his brows furrowed.

’My Intent is three times stronger than what it was before I came to the Stairs of Ascension, but I don’t think I can ever form a World Heart Intent if I continue like this.’

’I need time… time to think and ponder on what I want for the uniqueness for my Intent.’

Corey looked around, and then the dark space which contained the manifestation of his mind, axe intent, and the Will of the Omniweapon Infinity Crystal dissipated like a fog.

Corey sat in a cross-legged position on the fifteenth step of the Stairs of Ascension. He closed his eyes, and then a strange feeling and a strange intuition appeared in his mind.

He barely gave this intuition and feeling a second thought, and without hesitation, he did something that surprised Nina and Chucky, he shut down his Stars of Consciousness and closed his eyes.

The countless activities and thoughts that were always going on in his mind suddenly stopped.

It was an extremely strange and uncomfortable feeling, but Corey felt that he needed such a state to improve his Axe Intent.
