Jin had a slightly suspicious expression when he heard Corey’s words because if Corey had an ID card, that meant he had entered Serithal before.

’If he has an ID card, then why did he ask me to tell him about the Kingdom of Miracles? To get an ID card means his identity must have been checked and registered in the Kingdom’s system.’

’Or maybe he has another form of identification that would allow him to enter the capital no matter what?’

Numerous thoughts flashed in Jin’s mind as he looked at the guards that were approaching their carriage.

Although he had the urge to speak and ask Corey questions, he chose not to.

A Tier 3 guard that was dressed in a full bronze armoured plate with a spear in his right hand spoke as he stood by the window of the carriage.

Jin, Chloe, and Ava brought their ID cards from their storage space.

It was a thin, crystal-like card that was smooth and cold to the touch. Faint lines of gold and silver ran through its clear surface that shifted slowly like tiny streams of light trapped under glass.

The guard took their ID cards, and then he placed it on the identification device that had the appearance of a palm-sized, translucent crystal slab that was hexagonal in shape.

The slab lit up, and lines began appearing on it as a hologram hovered above it.

In the eyes of Jin, Chloe, and Ava, all they saw was just a bunch of lines glowing on the crystal slab, however, in Corey’s eyes, he saw the runes that shifted and rearranged themselves whenever the guard placed a different card on it.

Corey’s expression remained nonchalant as he observed the movement of the runes and the internal mechanism of the identification device.

As he was doing this, he could feel the gaze of the guard subtly landing on him quite a number of times.

He was not surprised by this since he was emitting the aura of a Tier 3, and on New Earth, those who were Tier 3 were talented and reputable individuals.

Since the guard was also a Tier 3, he was trying to perceive how powerful Corey was.

’Hmm... His friends are also looking at me like hawks... I can feel their gazes trying to drill a hole in my skull.’

Just as Corey had this thought, the guard looked at him.

Corey glanced at the guards helmet-covered face for a moment, causing a tense atmosphere to engulf the surroundings.

Jin, Chloe, and Ava looked at Corey with sweaty palms. Meanwhile, the guard gripped his spear tighter, and Corey glanced at it before smiling.

"Sure thing."

He opened his palm, and then space rippled for a moment before a similar ID card to that of Jin, Chloe, and Ava appeared on top of his palm.

Jin raised a brow.

"Here."

Corey smiled and handed the card over to the guard who took it with a baffled and suspicious gaze behind his helmet.

He cautiously glanced at Corey before placing the card on the identification device.

A hologram appeared, showing an image along with several texts on it.

When Jin, Chloe, and Ava saw Corey’s image in the hologram, they visibly relaxed.

However, what they did not know was that what they were seeing was completely different from what the guard was seeing.

Jin, Chloe, and Ava were seeing an image of Corey’s actual face with brown eyes. However, the guard was seeing a completely different face.

A face that was still handsome, but less handsome, and had completely black hair instead of black and white hair. On his chin was a small batch of beards along with a tiny mustache on the bridge of his mouth.

The guard looked at Corey, and then at the hologram a few more times before handing over the card to Corey after seeing that Corey’s face and the image on the hologram matched.

"Do you have any non-human with you? Even if it’s a harmless pet, you have to show it to us so that we can be sure it’s not a source of danger and to also avoid any unnecessary trouble that may arise."

The guard asked, and Jin quickly replied, "No Sir."

"Hmm." The guard hummed, and then he took one more glance at Corey and the interior of the carriage before nodding. freёwebnoѵel.com

"Alright. You may enter."

"Thank you." Corey smiled while stretching out his hand. The guard was taken aback at first, but then he nodded and shook Corey’s hand.

"You’re welcome." The guard replied, showing respect to Corey, something that he didn’t bother showing Jin, Chloe, and the others.

When Jin saw this, he did not find it strange because it was to be expected. Tier 3s were to be respected no matter where they were in the Haven Continent.

However, that did not stop him from showing a tinge of envy at the guard as he walked away.

As for why he showed envy at the guard and not at Corey who received the recognition?

Corey had no idea, and he didn’t care to ask.

The gates opened up, and the carriage passed through the archway.

Despite having an ID card, Corey could still feel the sharp gazes of the guards on them, wanting to see if the detector would give out a signal of a non-human being on board in their carriage.

However, the archway glowed with a green light and gave out no alarm, and the carriage entered Serithal with ease.

Corey’s eyes flashed with a white light, and a light smile on his lips as he hummed softly.

Although he was a non-human, a Demi-Paragon to be exact, how could an artifact of such a level detect him with all the abilities he had.

Talk less of the fact that the artifact might not even be able to sense his Demi-Paragon race.
