Single Wish: Rise Of The Omniscient Paragon-Chapter 817 - 814: The Thirteenth Dawn (1)
Chapter 817: 814: The Thirteenth Dawn (1)
Three days passed.
And just like Rhael said, his badge flickered with light just before dawn broke across Serithal.
The message was short.
[Head to lower level. Training arena 7. Meet your team, The Thirteenth Dawn.]
There was a map of the Association Headquarters in his badge, and normally he was meant to use the map to figure out how to move.
However, he had his Eyes of Omniscience, and he already knew about the open and hidden layouts of the association headquarters.
He wore a plain, dark combat tunic beneath his black cloak, and his silver badge clipped to his belt.
A few minutes later, his boots touched the polished gray floors of the Third Floor.
His steps echoed softly as he moved down the corridor, ignoring the occasional glance from passing hunters who recognized the new face among the Silver Ranks.
Although he had not made an appearance in the the association ever since he got his badge, his name had spread across several hunters.
Especially the silver ranked and gold ranked hunters.
It was not a common occurrence for a newcomer to gain a Silver rank on the get go. Questions were asked, and although the details of how Corey humiliated Amy were not spread due to Amy’s backing, what everybody knew was that Corey had performed superbly in the test given to him by Amy.
When he got to the wide black door of Training Arena 7, he paused.
His eyes flashed with a white light, and then he pushed the door open.
He didn’t bother knocking, and he walked in without hesitation.
The moment he entered, he saw six individuals inside the training arena.
Four were standing. One say lazily on a high metal crate while chewing something, and the last sat with his legs and arms crossed, and his eyes closed.
They all turned to look at him when he entered.
Corey stood by the door and observed them silently and calmly, without any change in his expression.
He could feel a fraction of their mystic auras bearing down on him, but his expression was utterly indifferent.
He knew that they were only using a fraction of their auras not only to test him, but to also be careful with him.
Although they had heard from their superiors that Corey was talented and unique, the difference between a Tier 4 and Tier 3 was massive, and the last thing they wanted was incapacitating Corey before they even commented on their mission.
’So these are the ones I’m going to Whispergrove with?’
His eyes scanned them. ƒгeeweɓn૦vel.com
The first one he noticed was a tall woman with midnight black hair braided tightly to her back. She wore a black and crimson robe reinforced with dark leather padding, and a pair of throwing knives were strapped along her forearms.
Her presence was quiet, more quiet than normal, and without having to record her to see her stats, he could guess what her class was.
’A stealth specialist... Probably an assassin or scout class. She’s also a Tier 4, a mid level Tier 4... Her stats are not in the Red Star realm, so I guess that’s a good thing?’
Next to her stood a heavily armored man, broad-shouldered, carrying a massive greatsword and shield strapped to his back. His armor was scratched, dented, and scorched in multiple places. His aura was grounded, firm, like an iron wall.
’So he’s the tank of the team. His defense feels solid, and his constitution is okay to a certain degree. He’s also a mid-level Tier 4.’
’Hmm.’
Corey thought while still choosing not to record any of the members of the Thirteenth Dawn.
The third person was... odd.
A boy.
At least, he looked like a boy.
He had a thin frame, with snow-white hair, and pale golden eyes that stared without blinking. He wore a dark blue cloak over a mage robe and held a long staff with bones tied around it in a spiral pattern.
’How surprising. He’s a Necromancer or something close to it. I can sense a dense amount of death energy from him. He’s also a Tier 4, but unlike the tank and assassin, he’s a late stage Tier 4.’
’He looks like a boy at the age of twelve, but through Soul Perception, I know that he’s actually older than me. He should be in his early forties.’
’I’ve been looking for a shapeshifting skill for the past four days or so, but I’ve met Pamela who is able to shapeshift, and now I’ve met another person whose appearance does not match that of his soul.’
’Sigh... Hopefully I’m able to find a shapeshifting skill once I become a Gold Hunter since Silver Hunters don’t get access to a lot of skills, weapons, and treasures.’
’Fortunately for the hunters association, I don’t plan on stealing their skills, weapons, and treasures.’
’I’m such a good guy.’
Corey scoffed inwardly at his thoughts, and then he glanced at the fourth person.
The fourth one was a woman in a blood-red overcoat with a bored expression. Her long auburn hair was tied in a messy bun, and a cigarette was stuck between her lips.
She held a spear with one hand, with its end sometimes dragging across the ground with a low metal scrape whenever she moved.
Her eyes landed on Corey, and then they narrowed slightly.
For some reason, the woman reminded him of Rosa.
’She doesn’t have that bloody aura Rosa has, but she feels like a battle maniac... Most likely a more insane battle maniac than Rosa.’
’Well, Rosa is not really a battle maniac.’
The fifth person was the odd one out of everybody because he was a Tier 3 just like him.
The man was sitting lazily on the crate. He had silver hair that was tied back with one leg dangling off the edge and the other resting on his knee.
He wore a dark brown coat over combat armor, with twin pistols holstered on each hip and a long rifle resting on his back.
’I wonder what his class is, but it obviously has something to deal with guns. His aura is more stable than the others.’
’He’s better than average, and if my senses are right, his stats are in the peak of the Orange Star Realm.’
’Not bad I guess.’
As Corey had these thoughts, the man smiled at him.
"Ah the silver pup is here."
Corey raised a brow slightly, but he didn’t say anything, causing the man’s smile to twitch slightly.
Corey then shifted his gaze to the last person.
A man who was sitting with his arms and legs crossed on a chair.
Corey tilted his head slightly, and he could not help but raise a brow with a tinge of amusement in his eyes as he stared at the man who was clearly the leader of the group.
The man’s eyes were closed, but Corey could instantly see that this was all a lie.
Not only were the man’s eyes not closed, he was not even sitting. Instead, he was leaning against a wall to his right, and Corey almost had the urge to look at the man.
’Illusion skills huh... Interesting... And it’s not too low-leveled.’
