Sinner System-Chapter 558: Demon Lord Vaszel Vos Kealfaos (Part 2)

I sprinted towards Jax as fast as I could, starting to close in on him right as he suddenly stopped struggling, a malicious chuckle ringing out.

"Don’t bother, you cannot save this human. The only way to free him is to kill him, or if I voluntarily vacate his body. And if you kill him, I can simply possess another of your allies," He smirked with a dark gleam in his eyes.

"I see, so that’s your ability, you can possess others. But the fact that you went after the weakest of our party in terms of combat ability, that means you can’t possess people stronger than you, is that right?" I surmised, as I came to a halt before him, loud blasts ringing out behind me.

"Yes, that is true...but it doesn’t matter. Lord Vaszel is more than capable of handling you humans by his lonesome. My role is simply to eliminate the fodder," He chuckled smugly.

He’s convinced that there’s no way to hurt him...attacking Jax would be pointless, I’d only be injuring Jax and doing no real damage to Spektar.

However...

"<Command: Don’t Move>," I chanted, his body freezing in place, before I chanted again, "And now, <Drain>."

His eyes widened slightly as I manifested the jaws of white energy and send them zipping into Jax’s chest, an excruciating roar of pain ringing out as his body spasmed and convulsed violently.

"Wh-What...?!" Blurted out Spektar through gritted teeth, his voice wracked with pain.

"Since you don’t have a physical body, I figured you must be extra susceptible to this. Glad I was right," I remarked icily.

"D-Damn, you...!" He uttered through gritted teeth, before suddenly stumbling back as he broke free of the effect of Command.

He’s probably going to vacate Jax’s body now. The instant he does, I’ll expand the jaws of Drain as wide as I can and then-...

My eyes widened in horror as he suddenly sprang back and reached behind, drawing out a dagger Jax had strapped across his lower back, before swinging it up and plunging it into the right side of Jax’s neck.

"I-I...I will not die contributing nothing!" He snarled, before violently dragging the blade across as I lunged forward, but I was too late. 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ𝑤𝑒𝑏𝑛𝘰𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝒸𝑜𝘮

The sound of bones cracking echoed out as the skin around Jax’s arm ripped apart, as Spektar presumably pushed past his body’s natural limiters to make his move as quickly as possible, and slicing Jax’s head off before I could reach him.

I grimaced bitterly as Jax’s head fell off and hit the floor with a thud, before gritting my teeth as a shadowy mass burst out of his corpse, smaller than it was before possessing him.

"You’re dead," I spat venomously, before rapidly expanding the jaws of Drain and consuming what was left of Spektar as he began to try and flee, but he was too slow.

As I swallowed up his being, erasing him from existence, I briefly glanced at Jax’s corpse, laying lifelessly next to his severed hit, clenching my fists in frustration, before spinning around, biting my lower lip to keep my composure and chanting...

"<Enrage>. <Descent>."

I began to scramble out of the throne and get onto my feet, before crossing my arms defensively as Ciel Campbell fired the explosive mass of energy at me.

As the mass collided against my arms, it exploded with devastating force, sharp twinges of pain erupting across my forearms upon impact as I got sent hurtling back through the air.

The pain faded as I sharply spread out my wings to bring myself to a halt, letting out a slow exhale, before tensing as I sensed a presence behind me and spun around, a bright, fiery figure barreling in towards me rapidly.

"[Super Accel Flame Lance], [Quintuple Impact]!" Roared Ariella Velle, driving the concentrated, piercing mass of flames swirling around her right arm towards me.

Elemental attacks have no effect on me, I shall block it and then slice her head clean off-...

My eyes widened as her arm thrust forward with a sharp, drastic burst of speed, colliding against the right side of my chest as I twisted my body across, before tearing through my skin, flesh and bones, bursting out my back and ripping off my right wing, as she shot past me in a fiery blur.

What...?

As my right arm fell off and thudded against the ground, I regenerated in an instant, before swiftly lifting my gaze as a crushing blast of telekinetic force came shooting down towards me.

A deafening crash rang out as the blast slammed onto the ground as I narrowly evaded it, before ducking down as a pair of petrifying beams came shooting towards me, the beams whizzing past the top of my head, right as a deafening sonic screech came blasting towards me from behind.

I began to race out of the way, right before Kanine and Raixel sprang up on either side of me, grabbing my arms and holding me down, my vision blurring sharply as the sonic screech engulfed me, my ears ringing as the intense wave of ringing sound dazed me.

An animalistic roar rang out as a bright blue glow washed over me from above, the Dark Elf swooping down towards me with a violently swirling mass of Ether churning around his body.

Raixel and Kanine let go of my arms at the last second and sprang back as the Dark Elf closed in, his fists balled together as he swung them down towards me with a yell of exertion.

I swiftly crossed my arms above myself, a violent burst of force erupting as his fists collided against my forearms with crushing force, my legs buckling slightly, before I gritted my teeth and grabbed his wrist, tightening my grip before flinging him away with a rapid snap of my arm.

Damn them, I-...!

My train of thought was abruptly cut off as I felt a palm slap against the middle of my back, before shifting my gaze back and meeting a pair of cold, merciless purple eyes...

"<Mana Pulse>."

A sharp gasp escaped my lips as an excruciating, penetrating pain erupted across my entire body, several spots across my skin spasming as I shuddered and convulsed, before gritting my teeth and letting out a furious snarl as the pain faded, unleashing a pressurized burst of Negative Energy to blow him away.

Tch...it has been quite a while since I last fought, it would seem my instincts and combat sense have dulled. I anticipated as much, but even so, I did not expect this.

Very well, then...it would appear that I do not have the luxury of taking it easy against them.

"You win the opening exchange of this final battle, humans, congratulations," I remarked, composing myself as I opened two slots of my Item Box, one by either side of me, before adding as drew a pair of objects out, "But, now, playtime is over."
