Sir, Please Sign Here to Get a Divorce-Chapter 92: Provoking Her Has Severe Consequences
Serena Yardley didn’t believe a word of the man’s nonsense.
If he could really make her happy, he wouldn’t have suspected the child in her belly belonged to someone else and forced her to get rid of it.
If he could really make her happy, would she have been so desperate that she’d try to kill herself by jumping into a river?
People always say a leopard can’t change its spots.
In Serena Yardley’s eyes, the same was true for men.
So you could listen to what they said, but you should never take it to heart.
"Anyway, my mind is made up. Either you draw up the Divorce Agreement for me to sign as soon as possible, and we can part on good terms.
"Or if you refuse to divorce me, I’ll definitely make you regret it."
Serena Yardley’s attitude was still resolute.
Ethan Yardley looked at her helplessly, his voice low. "Then let me see just how much you can make me regret it."
Not wanting to discuss the divorce with her, he tossed out, "Get yourself ready and come downstairs to eat dinner," and then left.
When Serena Yardley turned around again, the man was already gone.
She pouted and, sitting on the bed, angrily kicked her suitcase.
’I really don’t get what that old man is thinking.’
’After divorcing me, he could go find prettier, better women. Why does he insist on tying me down?’
Suddenly feeling a bit hungry herself, Serena Yardley went downstairs for dinner.
Who would have thought that just as she was halfway through her meal, the "old man" would follow her and sit down opposite her.
Serena Yardley didn’t want to look at him and hastily buried her head, shoveling food into her mouth.
Ethan Yardley placed some food on her plate, saying with concern, "Eat slower. Don’t choke."
"It’s none of your business."
She finished her meal in a few bites and quickly got up to leave.
Seeing how difficult she found it to be around him, Ethan Yardley could only endure it, even though it left a bitter taste in his mouth.
When it was time to rest for the night, he went to the door of Serena Yardley’s room.
He wanted to go in, but in the end, he hesitated and went to the guest bedroom next door instead.
For the next few days, even though they lived under the same roof, the two of them didn’t exchange a single proper word.
Serena Yardley also made a point of always eating her meals early, just so she wouldn’t have to eat at the same table as him.
Finally, the start of the school semester arrived.
Serena Yardley deliberately waited until the morning to drag her suitcase downstairs.
Who would have known that when she got downstairs, she would again see that man sitting on the living room sofa.
Serena Yardley felt a bit down.
’Isn’t it Monday? Why isn’t he at work?’
"Miss Serena, please have some breakfast. Sir has been waiting for you for a long time."
Serena Yardley set her suitcase aside, walked to the dining room, and sat down, asking Mrs. Miller in a low voice, "What’s he waiting for me for?"
Mrs. Miller smiled. "To take you back to school, of course."
"Who asked him to take me? I can take a car myself. Go tell him I don’t need a ride from him."
Mrs. Miller was a bit helpless, but she still walked over to Ethan Yardley, who was sitting in the living room.
"Sir, Miss Serena said she can get to school by herself. She doesn’t want to trouble you."
With a laptop on his lap, Ethan Yardley was working. Without looking up, he said, "Go tell her I insist on taking her."
Mrs. Miller took a deep breath and walked back to the dining room. "Miss Serena, Sir says he’ll take you."
"I said I don’t want him to take me. I’m not in elementary school."
Serena Yardley shot a hateful glare at the man in the living room and told Mrs. Miller, "Go tell him that if he takes me, I’m not going."
Mrs. Miller returned to the living room. "Sir, Miss Serena said that if you take her, she won’t go to school at all."
"Hm, then she can stay at home. That’s fine."
Ethan Yardley sat up straight, the expression on his handsome face completely unfazed.
Mrs. Miller was speechless.
’These two...’
’Who are they trying to torture?’
’Is this how young people live these days?’
Mrs. Miller was baffled.
Seeing Mrs. Miller returning again, Serena Yardley quickly held up a hand to stop her. "Don’t say anything. I’m going out for some fresh air."
With that, she slipped out of the villa.
Ethan Yardley watched her go but didn’t follow.
Since Serena hadn’t taken her suitcase, she couldn’t be going to school just yet.
He continued to wait.
Not even ten minutes later, Serena Yardley returned. She shot a triumphant eyebrow-raise at the man in the living room, then grabbed her suitcase and headed out the door.
Seeing her leave, Ethan Yardley closed his laptop, stood up, and followed.
But when he entered the garage to get a car, he discovered that the tires on several cars had been deflated.
He didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.
’So in those few minutes Serena was out, she ran here to deflate his car tires?’
’What a devious little mind.’
Completely at a loss with her, Ethan Yardley took out his phone and called Yannick Young.
"Drive over here. Take Serena to school."
’She won’t let me go with her, so this should be fine, right?’
...
Serena Yardley had already hailed a private car online. Before Yannick Young could even get to her, she was already on her way to school in it. 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
But when she dragged her suitcase to her dorm room, she discovered that her bed had been taken.
She angrily confronted the newcomer, "Didn’t you see this is my bed? Why did you move all my stuff?"
The girl looked innocent. "But the teacher assigned me to this spot."
"But this is clearly my bed."
Just as the two were arguing endlessly, Serena Yardley’s old roommate rushed over.
Kylie Cross quickly pulled her aside and said:
"Serena, the teacher really did assign this bed to her. They said you wouldn’t be living on campus anymore. What’s going on?"
"Who said I’m not living on campus? Which teacher arranged this?"
Serena Yardley was so angry she could have coughed up blood.
Kylie Cross said, "The dean of students. Why don’t you go ask him?"
Serena Yardley had to get to the bottom of this. Leaving her suitcase in the dorm, she stormed off to the dean’s office.
When the dean of students said it was arranged by "higher-ups" and she wasn’t allowed to live on campus, Serena Yardley knew exactly what was going on.
It was undoubtedly the meddling of that old man, Ethan Yardley.
She was so mad.
Walking out of the dean’s office, she took out her phone to call Ethan Yardley.
The moment the call connected, she let him have it.
"Ethan Yardley, are you insane? On what grounds are you not letting me live on campus? What right do you have to control me? You think you’re so great just because you have money? That you can just control other people’s lives and freedom?
"I’m telling you, you’ve pissed me off, and the consequences will be severe.
"So you won’t let me live on campus, huh? Just you wait. I’ll make you beg me to live here."
After saying her piece, she immediately hung up without waiting for him to utter a sound and returned to the dorm.
Back in the dorm room, seeing her three roommates and the newcomer were there, she announced shamelessly:
"Hey, so... if you guys let me stay here with you... well, we don’t have classes today anyway, so I’ll take you all out for a huge feast at the most high-end restaurant in the country. What do you say?"
Her roommates all came from ordinary families, so of course they wouldn’t refuse a grand meal.
"Serena, you’re not kidding, are you? I heard the minimum charge at that restaurant is over a hundred thousand."
"That’s nothing. So, are you in or not?"
"We’re in! Forget the most high-end restaurant in the country, we’d let you stay even if you just treated us to spicy hot pot."
Her roommates were very cooperative.
Serena Yardley was simmering with rage. To teach that old man a lesson, she’d max out his card today or she wouldn’t be Serena Yardley.
Of course, besides taking her roommates out for a grand meal...
...there were beauty treatments, mall shopping sprees, and that evening, the group even booked out an entire bar.
The whole day’s spending spree cost at least several hundred thousand.
Inside the bar, the heavy metal music was deafening.
Fortunately, there weren’t many other people around, and the girls all got a bit tipsy.
They looked at Serena Yardley with envy and asked, "Serena, how did you suddenly get so rich?"
"You didn’t win the lottery, did you?"
"Serena, did you find a super-rich boyfriend?"
"Serena, you’re actually the young miss of a rich family, right?"
Serena Yardley had also had a bit too much to drink.
She swayed as she stood up and told them, "No, you’re all wrong. I... I’m actually an orphan.
"But, I have an ’uncle.’ He’s super rich, so enjoy yourselves. Don’t worry about saving my money."
Hearing this, her roommates laughed and asked, "So, Serena, is your ’uncle’ single? How old is he? Is he handsome?"
Serena Yardley glanced at the roommate who spoke. The moment she thought of Ethan Yardley’s face, she said furiously:
"Him? He’s already thirty, so he looks ancient. And he’s a total womanizer—the king of all scumbags.
"Not only is he fat and wide, he’s not even as tall as me! He has a beer belly *this* big, and he’s bald—his hairline has receded all the way to here."
"HAHAHA..."
Her roommates were dying of laughter at Serena Yardley’s vivid and dramatic portrayal of her ’uncle’.
But what none of the girls noticed was that in a dimly lit spot not far away, two dashing men in sharp suits were standing there.
Listening to Serena Yardley’s description of him, Ethan Yardley’s face was practically green.
Beside him, Yannick Young thought Miss Serena’s act was absolutely hilarious.
But he didn’t dare to laugh and could only hold it in.
Ethan Yardley ordered coldly, "Arrange for people to send each of them home."
