Slowly Falling into His Love Trap-Chapter 140: Be My Woman, My True Woman
The bathroom was filled with steam, making one unconsciously sentimental.
Evelyn looked at her pajamas, really not knowing how to go out and face Caden Lockwood.
She was scared and flustered. Why was she being forced into marriage like this?
Initially, she thought that her idea of a contract marriage could save it all.
But now it seemed that she was just a small role in this scheme.
The one truly in control had always been Caden Lockwood.
Whatever he wanted, she could only follow. Every time she said "no", it led her into a bigger trap.
She closed her eyes. Just as she grabbed the towel, the door opened again, and a long, wide towel wrapped around her.
Her eyes flickered, she instinctively wanted to escape, but he had already lifted her and walked straight to the bed.
"What do you want to do!" Her tone was full of terror. "Caden Lockwood, I’m telling you, if you dare to harm me, I won’t let you off!"
Looking into his deep and piercing eyes, she felt her threat was utterly useless, only making her more afraid.
"If I scream for help, Aunt May will come to save me!" she exclaimed urgently.
"In her eyes, we are a married couple. Whatever we do is normal." He replied calmly.
Unconvinced, she continued, "Then I’ll let Kiki in to bite you!"
He raised an eyebrow, "Can’t you tell it gets along better with me lately?"
Evelyn was speechless. As Caden placed her on the bed, her eyes were suddenly brimming with moisture.
Knowing she couldn’t overpower him, she pleaded, "Please, don’t touch me! You can find many women who would gladly be with you!"
Frowning slightly, Caden sighed softly.
He didn’t want to wait any longer.
Evelyn was his wife. Why couldn’t he have her?
His tall figure pressed onto her, the descending shadow enveloping her completely. He looked at her, eyes filled with deep affection and concentration.
Gently caressing her cheek with his finger, he loved the silky feel.
He parted his lips slightly, "Do you have any hopes for the future?"
She was stunned, clearly not understanding why he would ask her such a question.
Seeing the insistence in his eyes, she weakly replied, "Yes..."
The curve at the corner of his lips revealed his satisfaction as he continued to ask, "After divorcing me, can you find a good man?"
"Unlikely..."
"Am I good to you?"
"Yes..."
"I can fulfill all your dreams for the future and be a good husband to you, treating you well. Why do you want a divorce instead of being with me properly?" he asked, dissatisfied.
She was dumbfounded by his questions.
Wasn’t the divorce something they had agreed on long ago?
He wasn’t sincere about marrying her!
"Erin Morgan." His voice was deep, slightly hoarse, "I won’t divorce you."
"Why!" She was completely puzzled, "With your conditions, you can have any woman you want. Marrying me is a loss for you!"
"We’ve already got a marriage certificate." His voice was light and calm, alluringly persuasive, "Getting a divorce is troublesome."
"Trou...some?"
She widened her eyes in surprise, not expecting him to dismiss her with just those two words.
"Be my woman." His presence exuded a rich dominance, "A real woman!"
As he finished speaking, he cupped her face, placing gentle kisses on her forehead, her nose, her cheeks, and her lips.
