Slowly Falling into His Love Trap-Chapter 157: Trading Your Body Is Also Acceptable
"It’s not difficult." The curve of Caden Lockwood’s lips deepened, but it wasn’t a smile. The kind of awe-inspiring presence he exuded only made people shiver even more.
Looking at Caden’s aloof and gloomy face, Evelyn Morgan even lightened her breathing. Standing in the cold wind, she felt like she could barely hold on.
Her entire body ached in many places, as if something was gnawing at her.
The pain in every cell of her body was nearly suffocating.
Glancing at Logan Shaw not far away, Caden said coldly, "I don’t like discussing private matters when there are too many people around."
After speaking, he stripped off the clothes Evelyn was wearing, which belonged to Logan, and left them on the ground, his dark eyes filled with ruthlessness.
"I also don’t like it when the person discussing private matters with me is wearing someone else’s belongings."
With those words spoken, he walked towards the underground parking lot.
His back was to Evelyn, so he couldn’t see her, but his ears were acutely tuned to all the noises around.
He thought, she should follow him, right?
She certainly can’t still want to go to Logan, can she?
To use such a method to keep someone, and he still couldn’t be sure if this method would work; Caden was nearly frantic.
Watching Caden’s retreating figure, Evelyn bit her lip, touching something cold, which inevitably made her feel hopeless.
Picking up the clothes on the ground, seeing the stains on them, she frowned tightly and could only move towards Logan.
"I’m sorry, the clothes... I can’t wash them clean for you," Evelyn apologized softly.
"Evelyn," Logan sighed, "you don’t need to do this."
"Anyway, things need to be resolved!" She took a deep breath, "The sooner they’re resolved, the better."
Her tone held a profound meaning that was hard to understand.
She shrugged, waved at Logan, and then hurried after Caden.
Hearing the footsteps behind him, a faint smile appeared on the corner of Caden’s mouth. Only then did he quicken his pace, each step exuding confidence and composure.
Getting into the car, Evelyn shivered and instinctively hugged herself tightly.
After being in the rain for so long, the warmth in her body was almost entirely drained.
Caden glanced at Evelyn from the corner of his eye, started the car, and after some internal fuming, he couldn’t help but turn up the temperature in the car and toss a blanket onto her head from the back seat.
His actions were rough and domineering, and his voice remained low and cold: "I don’t like carriers of viruses in my car!" his explanation was stiff.
Evelyn’s lips curled stiffly as she wrapped herself in the blanket, finally feeling somewhat better.
The car drove slowly down the main road, as if Caden was sightseeing, with seemingly no destination in mind.
Evelyn couldn’t stand it. She didn’t feel at ease unless the issue was resolved.
She looked at Caden and asked, "Where are you going? And can’t you say what you need to say now? It’s just the two of us in the car!"
Caden suddenly stopped the car by the roadside, glaring at Evelyn, trying hard to resist the urge to strangle her, reminding himself to stay calm.
"In such a hurry?" He squinted, "Hmm?"
Frightened, she retreated, her eyes evasive, not daring to look at him, "Are you going to speak... or not?"
His large hand subtly clenched into a fist as he stared at her, scrutinizing her from head to toe, then leaned down, bringing his lips close to her ear.
She watched him warily, fearing he’d do something reckless.
In this heavy rain, there weren’t many cars on the road!
A swift flicker of something profound passed through his sharp, dark eyes, and recalling her pride and evasiveness around him, he fumed even more.
Lightly parting his thin lips, he said words that made her feel incredulous: "As long as you use your body to serve me well tonight, make me feel good, I won’t interfere with Logan’s affairs anymore."
