Slowly Falling into His Love Trap-Chapter 196: Missing Her to the Point of Madness
The moment their eyes met, Evelyn trembled slightly, blinking as if it were a hallucination.
Seeing Caden Lockwood standing not far ahead, she opened her mouth, wanting to say something, but said nothing.
Turning around, she headed towards Kiki’s private pet room.
Caden’s heart tightened, he quickened his pace, taking two steps to grab Evelyn’s wrist, pulling her forcefully back into his embrace.
Feeling her body heat, he tightened his arms, holding her tighter and tighter.
He missed her.
He missed her so much it was driving him mad.
Indeed, all the punishment measures he thought of for her only ended up torturing himself.
He buried his head in her neck, taking a deep breath. Smelling her unique faint fragrance, the corners of his lips curled into a subtle smile, his expression satisfied and joyful.
Evelyn struggled forcefully, "Let go of me!"
He had already divorced her; what was he doing now?
Was he playing with her?
"I won’t let go." Caden spoke as if he was a rogue, softly kissing her neck, unable to resist, he gently bit her.
"Let go!" she said through gritted teeth in anger, "Caden Lockwood, let go of me! Go live happily with your girlfriend! I won’t be just someone for you to toy with! Let go!"
Evelyn was strong, and Caden couldn’t hold on to her.
Caden furrowed his brows in annoyance, glaring at her as she stayed far away from him. He tried to keep his voice gentle, "We need to talk."
"There’s nothing to talk about!" Evelyn averted her gaze, almost suffocated by the frustration and resentment in her chest.
What did he mean?
After sending the divorce papers, was he here to ridicule her again?
"I’ve already packed my things. Once Aunt May returns, I’ll leave with her and Kiki. You can bring whoever you want to live in here." She made herself appear proud and cold, as if this was the only way to maintain her last shred of dignity.
"I will still repay the money I owe you, don’t worry. I’ll borrow it and pay you back all at once." She said sullenly.
Upon hearing this, a cold glint flashed in Caden’s dark eyes, and he spoke faintly, "You’re leaving?"
Evelyn rolled her eyes, he had given her the divorce papers, and now he wanted her to stay here after the divorce?
Even if he was willing, she wasn’t!
Not hearing Evelyn reply, Caden took two steps forward, his piercing gaze fixed on her, already enraged.
"Who are you going to borrow money from?" he asked very slowly, "Logan Shaw?"
"We’ve already agreed to divorce, do I need to report to you from whom I borrow money?" Evelyn responded harshly, "From now on, you live your..."
"Divorce?" Caden’s voice squeezed through his teeth, his handsome face dark and twisted with anger.
He had come back intending to have a good talk with her.
But what she thought of was divorce?
Dark eyes narrowing, he happened to see the suitcase placed at the bedroom door.
Looking at her, he strode in, opened the wardrobe, and sure enough, her clothes were all gone, only a few of his clothes hung there, lonely.
Taking a glance around, the ring placed on the dressing table stood out conspicuously.
Raging fury erupted at this moment, Caden took a step forward, and his immense presence was like a volcanic eruption, making one’s legs go weak.
Evelyn shrunk her neck, not daring to look at Caden.
She didn’t understand, clearly, he was the one who proposed the divorce, so why was he getting angry now?
