Slowly Falling into His Love Trap-Chapter 218: Completely Addicted to Little Uncle
"Relationship confirmed?" Cecilia Lynch finally opened her eyes and asked with a big reaction, "Have you and your little uncle become a real couple?"
Evelyn was stunned, shaking her head with a sigh, "Not yet."
"Then... why are you so excitedly pleading for me to attend the dinner?" Cecilia laughed and asked, "Evelyn, have you reconciled with your little uncle after a tiff?"
Evelyn’s cheeks turned red as she whispered, "Anyway... if there’s dinner, why don’t you eat?"
"Tsk tsk!" Cecilia laughed even more happily, "Your little uncle is really a master in romance, isn’t he? First separating from you for a while until you miss him terribly, then appearing with sweet talk to capture your heart instantly!"
"Cece." Evelyn felt embarrassed, "Please don’t make fun of me! Remember not to be late for lunch! Little uncle doesn’t like people being late!"
"You’re too infatuated, aren’t you?" Cecilia complained, "Our sisterhood for so many years doesn’t even compare to him? You’re always putting him first."
"Oh dear—" Evelyn wailed, "I don’t care! Anyway, you’re not allowed to be late! Oh my! It’s already past ten! I must hurry and get up, wash my hair, take a shower, Cece, we’ll talk when we meet!"
As if remembering something, she quickly said, "By the way! You mustn’t say anything at the dinner table. Be ladylike, cover for me, don’t make my little uncle look down on me!"
With that, she hung up the phone, jumped off the bed immediately, her foot miraculously not hurting anymore, and dashed into the bathroom to clean herself up.
Cecilia couldn’t stop laughing, muttering to herself, "Evelyn is completely under her little uncle’s spell!"
"So, whose spell are you planning to be under?" Julian Keaton’s voice suddenly rang out.
Cecilia raised her eyes, just in time to see Julian standing at the bathroom door.
She instinctively avoided eye contact, "I haven’t... brushed my teeth..."
Not daring to meet his probing gaze, Cecilia looked away and asked softly, "Why haven’t you left yet?"
As usual, he would leave early in the morning.
Because he had to go home to change clothes, shower, and go to the company.
His large hand gently caressed her cheek, planting a light kiss on her forehead, reluctant to let her go, his hands roamed over her body.
"Don’t..." She shook her head and resisted, "I still have to attend Evelyn and Mr. Lockwood’s invitation at noon, I’m so tired."
Julian raised an eyebrow, a hint of deep meaning flashed in his eyes.
Earlier, Caden Lockwood also called him, inviting him for lunch.
Did the young couple just reconcile and were eager to showcase their affections?
"It’s just dinner." He said in a deep voice, "It’s still early now."
"But I can’t go looking too sloppy!" Cecilia sighed helplessly.
"You’re going to see someone else’s husband, and you still need to dress up?" Julian frowned, "Absolutely not!"
"I’m just..."
"However, my woman can’t lose face either." Julian remarked to himself, "Go take a shower. I have a bit of business to attend to at the company; be good."
Cecilia secretly breathed a sigh of relief,
Seeing Cecilia’s expression like she just sent off a plague, Julian’s eyebrows tightened, wondering if he had let her off too easily.
