Solo Leveling: I Am The Only Supreme With the Cheating System-Chapter 523: We Will Rebuild Amerisa In Two Days
The assembled group remained rooted to the spot, the resonant, otherworldly voice echoing in their ears from the shimmering golden gateway. A wave of stunned silence washed over them before their gazes collectively swiveled towards Jennifer, a silent question hanging in the air.
Erika, though powerless, was the first to break the silent. Stepping forward with fierce protectiveness, she declared:
"There's no way Jennifer is going in there alone!" Her voice, though lacking its usual magical resonance, held an unwavering determination. She wouldn't allow Jennifer to face the unknown dangers lurking beyond the gateway unaided.
"Yes! You aren't going anywhere, Jennifer!" Tyson echoed, his voice thick with concern. He moved swiftly, closing the distance between them and wrapping his strong arms firmly around Jennifer's waist.
Jennifer, her expression a complex tapestry of apprehension and resolve, turned her gaze upon her family. A small, reassuring smile touched her lips, a silent promise of return.
"What exactly is this gateway?" She asked, her voice barely a whisper, her eyes fixed on the swirling golden energy.
Just then, Amerisa's most influential figures emerged from the battered city, their footsteps echoing on the debris-strewn ground. President Dennis, his face etched with worry, led the five founders, their expressions grim. Commander Wang, Theo, Daniel, and other top guild masters followed closely behind, their presence a testament to the gravity of the situation.
""JENNIFER!""
The otherworldly voice boomed once more, this time with an undeniable urgency that reverberated through the air.
"Whoever you are!" Tyson yelled back defiantly, tightening his grip on Jennifer. "Jennifer isn't going anywhere!"
"YES!"
The elders chorused in unison, their voices filled with a protective fervor.
""Jennifer... You are needed in this war.""
The voice persisted.
A wave of mutual confusion rippled through the assembled crowd. They exchanged bewildered glances, trying to decipher the meaning behind the mysterious pronouncements.
"Why?"
Jennifer finally asked, her voice tinged with genuine curiosity. "You didn't permit Queen Liliana or Aria to enter, so why would you single me out?"
""Well... I wasn't initially planning on involving any of you in this conflict,""
The voice surprisingly explained, a hint of what sounded like exasperation entering its tone. ""However, someone on the other side is proving remarkably stubborn, and without your presence... you will undoubtedly lose this crucial war.""
"Lose the war? Someone is stubborn? What in the world are you talking about?!" Erika demanded, her brow furrowed in bewilderment.
""You will understand the specifics when you arrive... And the reason Liliana and Aria will not be joining you is due to Darren's direct instructions. He has already commanded them to remain behind, and their loyalty to him is absolute. Why attempt to sow discord where none exists?""
"This..."
Erika began, her eyes widening slightly as a realization dawned upon her. She turned to Jennifer and whispered, "You're thinking what I'm thinking, right?"
Jennifer slowly nodded, her gaze meeting Erika's with a shared understanding. Erika reached out and grasped Jennifer's hand, her grip surprisingly strong despite her powerlessness.
"Help us... No, help me," she pleaded, her voice filled with an uncharacteristic vulnerability.
Jennifer gently disentangled herself from Tyson's embrace and stepped forward, pulling Erika into a tight hug.
"Not just you... All of us," she whispered into Erika's ear, her voice filled with a fierce loyalty.
After a moment, she released Erika and turned to Maria and Mira, her expression softening. "Come on, you two," she said, opening her arms wide.
The two girls didn't hesitate, rushing forward to envelop Jennifer in a fierce embrace.
"Come back to us, bestia," Mira murmured in a low, choked voice. "And bring back big brother. I have so much to tell him," she added, her voice thick with emotion.
"Yes, go show those bastards why they shouldn't have messed with us!" Maria declared, her voice filled with a fiery determination that belied the tears welling in her eyes.
Jennifer nodded resolutely. "I will."
She separated from the hug and turned to face Tyson, her heart aching at the worry etched on his face. She walked towards him, her steps deliberate.
"I... I don't want you to go," Tyson said, his voice heavy with a profound sadness.
Jennifer smiled gently, reaching out to place her palm against his cheek. His hand immediately covered hers, his touch a silent plea for her to stay.
"Nothing will happen to me, love," she reassured him, her eyes filled with a love that transcended words.
She moved closer, her lips brushing against his in a tender kiss. Then, she wrapped her arms around his neck, holding him tightly.
"I will be back... And you are needed here," she whispered, her voice firm despite the tremor in her heart.
With a final, lingering hug, she stepped back and offered Tyson a small, resolute nod. His face was a mask of confusion and worry, but he offered a weak nod in return.
Jennifer turned her attention to the assembled leaders of Amerisa. "Founders, Mr. President, Commander Wang, Mr Theo, Mr Daniel, and every single one of you have a crucial task at hand."
Everyone looked at one another, then turned back to Jennifer, their expressions expectant, waiting for her instructions.
"You all must focus on rebuilding the city," she stated, her voice clear and commanding. "Only a fraction of Amerisa sustained significant damage, but without our powers, the reconstruction will require the combined efforts of everyone. While I am gone, your priority must be to heal our home."
"Yes, Miss Jennifer," President Dennis affirmed, his voice filled with renewed purpose.
"It will be taken care of," Commander Wang added with a firm nod.
"So many lives were lost today, a tragedy we will never forget," Amerisa founder said, his voice somber but resolute. "But this will not break us. We will rebuild Amerisa, stronger than before. We will ensure that every displaced individual has a new home. We will merge the remaining cities into a unified city."
"You may not possess the extraordinary abilities we do now," Liliana interjected with a confident smile, gesturing towards the vast ranks of humanoid demons stationed a respectful ten miles away, their presence a silent promise of aid.
"But we do, and with sufficient manpower..." She added.
"I can utilize Aaron's architectural skills," Emily chimed in, her eyes sparkling with determination. "I can manipulate earth and stone to construct homes rapidly. Aaron transformed an entire village into a thriving town; I know I can achieve something similar here. Besides, we aren't building a new town; we're merely expanding and repairing a city."
"Indeed, we can accomplish this," Theo added, a reassuring smile on his face.
"With all of you coordinating the efforts on the ground, I estimate we can complete the major reconstruction within a week." He added.
"A week is far too long," Nora declared, drawing everyone's attention. Before their eyes, she tapped her watch on her wrist, and with a soft whirring sound, more than a thousand drones materialized in the air above them.
"And let's not forget our rapid construction capabilities," Nora continued, a mischievous glint in her eyes as she turned to Liliana, Aria, and Emily.
"We can erect entire buildings in mere minutes. Or am I mistaken?"

Hearing her question, Liliana and Aria exchanged a knowing glance and simultaneously snapped their fingers.
BAM!
A collective gasp of astonishment rippled through the crowd as no less than ten fully formed apartment buildings materialized around them, seemingly out of thin air.
"Oh... ten buildings at once! That's fantastic!" Nora exclaimed, her initial estimate proving wildly conservative.
"And with my drones clearing the debris and preparing the sites, this entire reconstruction will be completed in a matter of two days, perhaps even less!"
Her words sent a fresh wave of shock and hope through the assembled people.
"Fufufufu," Jennifer chuckled softly, a genuine smile gracing her lips at the sight of their combined determination and power.
"Thank you, all of you," she said, her voice filled with heartfelt gratitude. "If you ever need anything in the future, please do not hesitate to ask. We owe you a great debt."
"No. No. No!"
Aria interjected firmly, cutting Jennifer off. "We are merely repaying the immeasurable debt we owe to Michael. You owe us nothing."
"Okay," Jennifer conceded with a small, grateful bow. "But still, thank you."
She turned back to her family, her heart heavy with the impending separation. Taking a deep breath and exhaling slowly, she turned and walked towards the shimmering golden gateway.
Reaching the edge, she paused, her gaze sweeping over Erika, Mira, Maria, Tyson, Ricky, Levi, and the assembled elders one last time. A silent farewell passed between them. Then, with a final, resolute breath, she stepped into the swirling golden light and vanished from sight.
Everyone watched in stunned silence as the gateway began to spin, the golden energy intensifying. With each passing second, the rotational speed increased rapidly until it became a blinding vortex of light. Then, in the blink of an eye, the gateway shrunk, collapsing in on itself until it disappeared completely, leaving behind only the lingering echo of its otherworldly presence.
Erika exhaled slowly, the tension in her shoulders easing slightly. She turned to the assembled group, her eyes filled with a newfound determination.
"Alright," she said, her voice firm and clear. "Let's get to work."
