Soul World Of Strong Souls-Chapter 43: THE NEW RULER
Fear pierced everyone’s hearts; they were shaking but hiding it under their clothes. Their hearts exchanged the pounding speed as they watched the brown-haired guy being pulled closer, fiercely and abusively.
On the other side, Kai was down, lying as a dead person, not yet confirmed but many thought so. He was nicely hidden under a red plastic shed. Without any movements, he lay quietly while Goro gave a speech.
Goro tightly held the young man’s hand with his big hand, and that increased the guy’s fear as he saw Goro’s serious face as he looked at the crowd.
He didn’t see Goro’s face, only the left side of his face, but he saw Goro’s furious face.
Suddenly, Goro asked him a simple question that he firstly hesitated to answer.
"Young man?" He paused; the brown-haired guy gulped in fear. Goro slowly moved his face to the guy, but he paused and continued his question, "What’s your name?"
The young guy exclaimed, and fear coiled in his heart as it increased the beating speed. He hesitated to say his own name for seconds, maybe about 30 seconds.
Goro moved his face again a bit. The brown-haired guy suddenly exploded and said his name.
He stammered, "Ka... Kai..." He paused for a second and continued, "My name is Kaito."
The giant chuckled a bit and looked at the crowd. He raised Kaito’s hand fast to the middle air and said, "Kaito here, I’ll put him as my right-hand man." Everyone raised their heads and looked at Kaito.
Someone started by saying "Yey" a bit. Within a minute, the crowd erupted with cheers. Everyone cheered, saying, "Yay!" Everyone kneeled down but kept their bodies up as they cheered, their hands in the air.
’Good, now they are warming up to me!’ Goro thought, his eyes on the cheering crowd. He then took a deep breath and looked at the crowd, ready to shout, in order for his voice to rise on top of everyone’s.
"That’s it, we are all one, under my protection; you will fear nothing, because I, me, and myself will bring protection to everyone who gives us all the trust they have." Goro said, his narrowed eyes on everyone. The cheers rumbled in the middle of the streets.
He raised his hands up and lowered the noise.
He continued by asking everyone a question, "Anyone who is with me? Show by standing up."
Everyone stood up fast, and they all glared at Goro.
"GOOD, that’s it, my people. Altogether, we rise." Goro said as he raised his clenched fist.
"YEYYYYY!" Everyone screamed louder as they raised their clenched fists.
Suddenly, Kaito raised his hands and lowered the cheers; respectfully, they lowered their screams and glared at him.
He then said, "You are saying it all wrong; that scream is for bars and weddings, not here. We are with Goro, not Yey, so we are changing that. Praising our great Lord, Goro, we are supposed to be respectful and sound more respectful."
Kaito paused and glared at everyone who was glaring back at him. He then looked at Goro and bowed down with his right hand on his chest and then the left behind him. He glared at Goro, who was nodding, agreeing with Kaito’s words.
"My Lord, the one and only Goro, I request your allowance to create a nice, new, respectful way of praising you, because we can’t scream as if we are in a wedding." Kaito respectfully asked for allowance, his eyes closed, waiting for a positive response.
The morning gaze was over; it was a big afternoon as the sun flashed straight from the middle of the sky. Everyone was getting the heat, and they were not even saved by the tall buildings that surrounded the place.
Goro glared at the sky as he felt the noon heat that burned his head. He then took his attention from the sky to the respectful Kaito, who was well bowed and in a respectful way.
Goro’s voice growled as he replied to Kaito. "Go ahead, show me why I chose you and why you deserve to be called my right-hand man!" His scary eye was now better, but it also was very sharp to send shivers to anyone who made contact with it. His eyes were scarily narrowed while he was calm. He then smiled, stretching his lips from ear to ear as he looked at the crowd.
Kaito raised his head and stood up straight. He then turned as he looked at the crowd.
He started a lesson; he put his hands behind him and looked at everyone.
He opened his mouth and said, "Listen up, everyone. We are all under the Lord; under his protection, we will be safe. So to praise him, we are not supposed to sound like anyone. We should be told that we are coming from the different side; we live in Luminaris, but we aren’t ruled by that king, Thalion Silvercrest; we are under...?" Kaito asked, his eyes on everyone. 𝑓𝑟ℯ𝘦𝓌𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝑐ℴ𝓂
He expected a response from everyone since he left his mouth open.
Just after he said, "....under....." Everyone continued the sentence, and they replied saying, "Lord Goro!!"
Motivated, Kaito replied, his hands in the air. He said, "Yes, we are under our new Lord. Under his protection, not from those mages who pretended to protect us by just staying where they live. It’s rare for them to appear, so let’s do this together and sing praises to our Lord Goro." He shouted, his voice louder as he spoke, assuring people of something he didn’t know but believed was available.
He took a deep breath and said, "Now it’s time to learn our praise song; we will start with the basics. We need bass; everyone who’s got a bass can say these in our praise song.
Haaaaaaaaaa, we praise Goro.
Our...only Lord.
"Then the others who’ve got soft, soft voices.
You should say, "
"Goro Goro... our Lord
Ahhhhh, we praise our....."
"It’s simple; everyone can try it."
Everyone smiled and looked at Goro, who had his face filled with mischief.
