Soul World Of Strong Souls-Chapter 44: “WHAT HAPPENED?”
Every savant in the Luminaris castle was on his or her feet, eyes widened as terror and confusion engaged in the first room where the entrance was.
Mostly they were the maids; they were on their feet watching the princes, who suddenly arrived running. She was panting as if she were being chased by a lion.
She reached running, and then she held her knees, her back bent; some water drops hit the brown shining floor, coming from her pale face that was hidden by her blonde hair.
Murmurs surrounded the room; some were scared, some astonished. They tried to verify her situation; that’s why they started whispering.
Some asked why she was in that condition, some asked why she was running, and the other thing was why she was crying. They tried to mix the ideas they had together.
Some were puzzled since she got out happily, but her face was flowing with tears like asbestos on a rainy day.
"Maybe she’s terrified by something?" Someone in the room said, her eyes glaring at the princess a bit, just with a corner of her left eye since she was to a person who was on her right.
The one who received the idea asked a simple question after agreeing to her point.
She said, "Ahh, yes, but what terrified her?"
Some also had their own ideas.
"Maybe she forgot something, so she had to run back home. That’s why she’s in that condition!" the other maid said, talking to someone who was on her left.
"That’s almost ridiculous, but it can be like that." She paused as she replied and looked at the princess. The other one nodded while her eyes were also on the princess, who was panting.
She resumed by saying, "If she’s tired, then I see some drops on the floor. What are those for on someone who’s just tired? And I’m hearing some discomforting sounds too, so....."
"She’s tired from running; she’s just panting, and the drops—maybe it’s her saliva since her mouth is open."
Some also had a different idea in her conversation. This time there were three of them; one of them was carrying some dirty plates, another one had a full washing basket in her hands, and the other one was carrying some neatly folded blankets.
They were going different ways when they met, and the princess got in when they were like that, so they stopped and glared at her.
The one carrying plates said, "Why is she crying? Did her boyfriend just dump her?"
The one with a basket said, "I don’t think that’s the case, but that can be the reason."
"Yeah, you are right, but there’s a chance that she ran away after denial." the brown-haired one that was carrying blankets added. She whispered neatly as she looked at the princess.
The one with a basket asked, "Then who’s got a heart to deny the beautiful princess?"
The conversation starter replied, saying, "Men have different tastes. What if she’s beautiful to you, but then the man sees a mistake, or he runs out of love for her!"
Basket girl: "That can be the case, but who is that?" She asked while her facial expression changed as she related the pain of the princess. 𝒻𝓇𝑒𝘦𝘸𝑒𝒷𝓃ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝒸ℴ𝘮
Plate girl: "Ahh, maybe that guy, the new guy." She hesitated on the name as she looked up, thinking about his name.
Suddenly, the blanket girl (brown-haired) quickly defended the new guy, "No way, Kai can’t be in love with the princess!" Her words were a little fast, her eyes wide open.
Plate girl: "But the way they act, it’s like they are."
Basket girl: "Yes, you are right, but he looked simple; he can’t just say no to her!" The other one, who was carrying blankets, nodded as she agreed about Kai’s character.
Plate girl: "Yes, but people have many characters; more like, he will be simple in public, but what if he’s the greatest assassin in Luminaris? Or what if he’s aggressive?"
Basket girl: "Yes, sure, but denial can’t make the princess run like this!"
There were two guards who were in the corridor to where the king and queen were.
They also had their own ideas.
The first guy asked, "Where is Kai?"
"Who knows?" he replied with a question as he was also puzzled.
The first guy asked a question again that was simply a point. He said, "What if they were attacked and the princess ran for her life while he bought her some time?" He then imagined Kai being cut in his right arm to his wrist by a sword.
They all came up with different ideas as they started whispering. Two of the first girls ran to her to give her a hand and also to know why she was in that condition.
"Princess, what happened?" One of the girls asked, her voice low, showing respect to the crying princess.
The princess didn’t reply; she only remained sniffing and sobbing, while her tears dropped on the smart and shiny floor.
The other one thought of a way to get her away from the doorstep. She said, "Hey princess, let me help you; let’s go sit down. Maybe it can help!"
The princess suddenly spoke, her voice a bit louder but mostly down. She said, "No, no, Kai, no!"
The princess continued crying; her voice got a bit louder when she cried.
The group that thought that Kai broke up with the princess exclaimed as they heard the princess’s words, saying, *Kai no.*
They thought that they were thinking the truth, and the brown-haired girl looked a bit happy. Her expression lightened when she heard the princess’s words.
The two guards whispered, saying, "Maybe you were right!" the second one said.
The second one thought that maybe he thought the truth, and he said, "Of course, that’s the only thing."
The princess continued crying; the two maids held her arms, and they helped her to walk. They took her to her room, and then the other one went and told the king and queen.
As parents, they rushed to her and asked what happened.
The princess’ response was, "Kai died; he just committed suicide by attacking the other worlders!"
The king and queen gasped as they held their mouths.
Suddenly, they were in their thrones, with the royal army commander.
