Soul World Of Strong Souls-Chapter 51: THE PUNISHMENT 1

The white wind blew; many swoosh sounds filled the air, with nothing visible at a distance of 50 meters or more.

The place was all white, hinting only at the cold in the place. In the middle of nowhere, stood a black-haired guy wearing black. He looked a bit disturbed, and his eyes were racing around the place, hinting that he was not used to the place.

Kai stood on top of the snow; his feet were buried deep under it. His mouth took out a colorful breath, hinting at the cold that swayed on his body.

He was lucky that he was wearing a jacket, so the cold was not much of a problem, but he was a bit shaky, though.

"What is this place?" He looked around and saw nothing that wasn’t the snow that was flying around with the wind.

He then thought of having a little chat since he was carrying someone. He said, "Seraphina, are you there?"

He got no response, and he was surprised since Seraphina was someone who always wanted to chat. He thought maybe she was angry. He then silently asked and said, "Are you angry with me?"

No response; nothing rang in his mind. He was just normal, like every day when he wasn’t yet dead. He calls out for her, saying, "Seraphina! Seraphina!"

He sighed and looked down in disappointment and said, "Haaa, maybe she’s asleep. It’s so boring when you are lost all alone. Maybe she was going to know our way back home."

Kai suddenly widened his eyes as he started to think more of where he was. "Wait, where am I?" he asked himself, looking at the flying snow.

He held his head out of annoyance and started to think about the time he left Goro. He silently said, ’I just left Goro a minute ago; where am I?’ He then thought of something he saw after defeating Goro. He continued saying, ’Huh, punishment? Yes, what was that again, the screen....’

Suddenly, the screen popped up, leaving Kai astonished. The screen was still the same, with a red color; a red color also polluted his blue eyes when it popped up, leaving his eyes looking red.

"The what? What is that supposed to mean?" Kai didn’t understand many things that were said, especially about the land, rocky and shaded places.

He then looked at the screen and saw the seconds ticking; he gulped and said, "The time is moving? Great, that is just great. Where’s the map if I’m timed?"

He looked around and acted as if he knew the place; he walked five steps to the left, then he stopped and angrily held his head. He said, "Where am I going to find those beastly things? I’m not a beast, hu...."

*Graaaaaaa*! The roaring noise took over from the swoosh sounds to become a big and deep roar.

Kai’s body trembled, and he even struggled to breathe. Out of astonishment, he said, "Huh, what was that?"

He looked at the fresh land that had no trees or rocks around. He continued saying, "THIS place is flat and scary. Where am I going to hide if I’m here?"

Suddenly, there was a big creature that appeared from the white shadows; it wasn’t clearly looking, just more of a feeling that there was something since it was around 50 meters away. It had its eyes glued somewhere, not at Kai.

Kai glared at the beast with fear and realized that it was a white bear. His body shook in fear as he saw it, and the screen popped up again.

Kai meditated on the words and said, "White Bear, arctos? Is it because of its use of magic, or is it a name for this world?"

He then sighed again as he got relieved; he said, "Phew, that thing is scary. Let it just walk; I’ll stay here until it passes."

The bear started sniffing; it sniffed at the ground and in the air, and it looked around fiercely. It then caught a glimpse of a black thing hidden by the wind that was blowing around.

Kai realized it was scary glowing red eyes that were glaring at him. His heart pounded for a second, and he hurriedly thought, ’The what? How did it...? Damn, damn, damn, how did it know? It’s time to run, Kai, run. We aren’t going to fight here’ he said to himself as he started to look around in fear.

The bear was white, simply white all over its body. Then it had some red lines that were on top of its eyebrows that were pointed at its eyes.

Then it had a black line that was starting from its nose and going up to its head.

It was tall, about 3 meters, since it also had long legs that were somewhere over a meter.

The white bear (arctos) was considered to be such a speedy opponent for Kai that he had no chance.

The arctos realized that it was a human when it saw Kai turning backwards, about to run. To cross-check, it didn’t use its formidable speed; it just ran slowly towards him.

Kai looked back with the corner of his eyes and realized that it was coming his way. He said, ’The hell, where is it going? No, it can’t come here...,’ he thought, his eyes at the corner trying to see it fully.

Kai looked behind and saw the arctos when it was around 50 meters away. The vision was blurry since it was too windy, and the wind also carried snow.

Kai thought of running, but before he took a second step, the bear roared differently than last time. Kai looked behind and widened his eyes in fear.
