The air got thicker every second; each moment, the tension grew, causing Kai’s blood to race in his veins. His skin received some cold, and shivers lowered down his spine as he started to see the purple aura in the air.

His eyes widened in fear; they started to tremble while he looked at each side around. He silently said, ’Huh, what’s going on with my body? I can’t even clench my fist with this shake!’ he said as he looked at his hand that trembled like a leaf.

He continued saying, ’Wait, the system said that it was a magic user! Damn, I was a bit too cocky; now I’ll just become a fool out of the blue.’ he said as he gently closed his eyes.

He snapped his eyes wide open and said, "Wait, the what?" He looked down at his right hand holding his chin as he silently continued, ’Was that supposed to be an alert without explaining what the skill was all about?’ He paused and looked up, his hands grabbing his messy black hair.

He said, "Grraaaaah, this is a total grrrrr..." He paused as he felt something new, more of danger.

Suddenly, small sharp rocks that were around the minimum length of 30 centimeters long were coated with the purple-looking thing.

The look of it was so intense that it sent shivers down Kai’s spine. His heart thudded like a war drum; the sudden action sent fear to his heart.

He clenched his fist and said, "This is bad!" He said as he saw many rocks right around him. There were a lot of them where the Viper was, and then a few of them on his left or right. Then he slowly looked behind and saw some behind, all pointed straight at him.

Silently, he got alert and looked at the Viper’s movement while he silently said, "Damn, damn, damn, this is totally bad. I guess it’s time to..." Suddenly, he widened his eyes and said, "Ugh!!"

Suddenly he saw blood spraying after a purple shot out of his stomach, on the right lower side.

He tried to endure the pain, but it was hard. He said, "Aahhh, tsk!" He gritted his eyes as he held his stomach; his vision got a little blurry, and he failed to see what was coming. Suddenly, his eyes suddenly got shut, and everything got black on his side.

Suddenly, he saw the black place turn into dim red. Then the screen popped up in his eyes.

After reading the notification message, he said, "HU!" He snapped his eyes wide open and glared behind, and by that time his eyes got more red as he saw the Arctos on the ground, stabbed by 4 rocks. They were located in its neck, two in its stomach, and then one near its tail.

The place got quiet in Kai’s ears; he turned around, his feet softly thudding, and every single breath was like a loud roar to him.

He looked at the blades that were like moving in slow motion going straight at him, and his body got a bit electrical around them.

With a furious face, his eyes blazing with rage while sitting on the Viper, Kai angrily growled, "Grrr, grrr!"

He took a first step towards the blades; his step thudded on the ground and loudly echoed between the two. Surprisingly, the serpent moved its head behind in fear.

Kai moved the second one and suddenly took off. The viper was seeing its blade moving at a speed of 50 km/h, but Kai only saw it moving slowly, around 15 km/h.

When he took off, he was moving with a scary speed that scared the viper and forced it to attack too.

Kai got through the upcoming attacks by just simply dodging them since he saw them moving slowly. He rushed towards the Viper with a scary look. His eyes were fiercely narrowed while his eyebrows furrowed as he got ready to fight.

The Viper also charged towards him as it followed its weapons.

With narrowed, tired eyes, Kai said, "Huh, it’s coming too? How cute," he said as he rushed towards it.

The two met in the middle, and Kai, who saw everything moving slowly, suddenly widened his eyes. They were looking like a mumble as he also gasped.

Instantly, during the attack, the Viper took the left side while Kai was on the right. It suddenly increased its speed, and Kai saw it swiftly moving, and he felt a hit on his stomach.

The hit also rolled to his back, and he felt a simple touch behind him.

"Huh!" His voice echoed, astonishment and fear coiled in his body, and he looked down to check what got him.

Before he managed to get a clear view of what was grabbing him, his feet and head went forward while his back bent, taking its route, going backwards. His whole body then followed as he swiftly went back fast.

He flew to where the Viper went, and his upper waist was grabbed by its tail.

The Viper stopped immediately, and Kai was thrown to the wall. His whole back crashed on the wall; within a second, he fell down and kneeled down, and both of his hands were also on the ground as he coughed.

*Huff huff*, his mouth leaked blood a bit as he coughed.

When Kai fell down from the wall after he crashed there, a big sharp thud was heard on the wall as 7 pieces of the viper’s weapons hit the spot where Kai was. They all hit together; the other one was aimed at his head, neck, chest, stomach, left arm, right arm, and shoulder. But with luck on Kai’s side, he survived the hit since his body dodged.

The screen in his eyes flickered as he saw it, and he saw nothing in it, only the red light, and at the same time, the viper widened its mouth as it angrily hissed while looking at him.

Kai stood up and sneered as he used his left hand to wipe blood off his mouth.
