Soul World Of Strong Souls-Chapter 67: Missing Princess 2
At the castle, The king’s face looked pale as he frowned, looking down while Gil arrived, pretending as if he was happy on the inside, but at the same time, he was sad and disappointed. He was smiling, just like every day, but he didn’t want to land his eyes on the king’s since he had shivers that raced down his spine every second he thought about the princess.
With a fake smile and two open arms, the king said, "Welcome back, Gil!" 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
Gilthunder respectfully bowed with both his arms aligned on his thighs, going to his legs. He then said, "Thank you, my king; we are back!"
"I can see that. Any good news?" said the king as he looked around the place where Gil came from. He looked concerned and desperate; his eyes darted all around, glaring at where the other soldiers were coming from, carrying something.
Gilthunder responded, saying, "Yes, and no!"
The king’s left eyebrow quirked, and he continued glaring at Gilthunder. He asked, "What is the meaning of that, or should I tell you about the kingdom’s bad news?"
Gilthunder gasped as he heard those words; his eyes also widened too. "Huh, bad news? Are you okay? Are you hurt? Is everyone okay? Is the princess alright? Anyone who robbed you when we were away?" Gil’s heart raced; he thought maybe there was another problem too.
The King responded, saying, "No, and yes!"
"Huh." Gil narrowed his eyes and glared more at the king. He also asked himself, saying, ’Is he revenging?’
The king asked, "Would you tell me your story now?"
"Okay, sir, I’ll start with bad news."
"I love good news better than bad."
"Ahh, okay." Gil frowned.
He took a deep breath and said, "We captured Luminaris’s greatest enemy!"
The king got puzzled; his mind FAILED to grasp what Gil meant. His eyes narrowed as he also thought about whether Gil is normal or not normal. He responded, "Huh, I don’t remember making enemies!"
A bit of frustration tailed Gil. He thought maybe the king was teasing him. Instead of teasing him back or dissing him, he thought of doing it respectfully and kindly. He said, "Ahh, I see. I meant to say the mage killer who’s got a high-ranking status of killing mages!"
The king was mostly confused; his mind was really away since his beloved only daughter was missing. He asked out of confusion, "Wait, who’s It, Alex?"
Annoyance coiled in Gil’s heart. His temper was about to fall out of his pocket. He got more frustrated that if he wasn’t a king, he was going to receive a punch. He instantly said, "HUH." He then silently said, "Is he for real? Alex is a hero, not a killer. Oh God, what wrong did I do to you!" He then continued talking to the king, who had his ears open since he asked a question, "Not Alex, sir!"
The king bent his crowned head to the right, hinting at confusion, but he didn’t ask. That forced Gil to speak out because if he kept on beating around the bush, he wasn’t going to end the story early. He said, "Goro!"
The king’s right hand swiftly got to his mouth as he gasped; he then glared at Gil in surprise. He asked out of astonishment, "Goro, Are you for real?"
"Yes, we have him in captivity," said Gil as he nodded.
His heart raced, and his eyes were darting around in fear and happiness. He thought maybe he was lying. He stammered and said, "Wow, that’s good Gil, so, tell me, who managed to put him down?"
Gil got lost in his thoughts for some time. , Gil. So,He imagined saying yes. By the way, he saw himself surrounded by 5 beautiful girls, then the princess wearing a clearly see-through pinkish dress going to him while he was sitting in bed, his face all red.
On the world, the king called for Gil 2 times, and then the third time, he hardly shook his head and then quickly replied with his face a bit red too.
He said, "It’s an unknown mage; the citizens said that they didn’t know the young man!"
Curiously, the king asked again, "Huh, where did he go?"
Gilthunder scratched his head twice while his eyes glared at the king. He said, "Ahh, we asked, but nobody had a clear answer of where he vanished to."
He then frowned and said, "Oh, it’s good that we’ve got the threat. But, but he needs to be thanked for his amazing work."
Gilthunder nodded as he raced his eyes off the Kings. The King continued, "Then now, would you mind telling me the news about Kai?"
Gil froze as he got lost in his thoughts; he thought that he destroyed his chance of getting the princess by submitting the right news instead of saying he was the one who got Goro’s knees on the ground.
’Ohh god, what did I do now? What a pain! Now I’ll never be compatible for the princess; I’m a fool, totally, I really am one.’ Gil thought as he fought with his mind and heart. Something wanted to be good, then the other one bad, but the good one gained power, so he spoke loudly and submitted the real news.
The king snapped his fingers in front of Gil’s face and said, "Hello! Are you there?"
Gil woke up and looked around. He then responded in a rush, a bit scared and stammering. He said, "Ohh yes, sorry, sir, ahh." He scratched his head and said, "As for Kai, nobody saw him. Not even his body was seen; some also thought that the guy who put Goro down was the same young man who fought with Goro at the beginning of the fight and won, so it’s not that clear."
The king nodded and took a deep breath. He searched for the right words to take them out of his chest. He looked around and then down. He released his breath and glared back at Kai and said, "The Princess is missing."
Surprisingly, Gil didn’t get surprised, not even trying to fake it. He also took a deep breath and glared at the king and said...
....
