Soul World Of Strong Souls-Chapter 73: SOPHIA AND THE WOLF
Slowly and silently, Kai muttered, after he realized the pain the system gave him day and night with nothing to show off for even though he worked that hard. He said, "Haaaa, what a pain!"
After he spoke, he made his decision in that last second, and it got all white in Kai’s eyes after he made his final decision. Everything was white, and he saw nothing around him.
Meanwhile, in the dungeon, where he left the red wolf and Sophia, the elf girl.
There was a room where there was a brown, long curly-haired girl who had some cute long hair. She was crying, muttering Kai’s name, saying, "Come on, Kai, where are you? Where are you?" She showed that she was in pain, and again she looked and sounded frustrated with her repeated sentence.
On the other side, the wolf whimpered only with its ears lying behind its head while it lay on its stomach, its back feet underneath its stomach, and its front feet stretched forward while it put its head on top.
The room was a dead end, just like the other room where Kai disappeared, where he left them crying for him.
When Kai left, Sophia and the wolf cried for him. Mostly, Sophia was the one who cried for him. Then when she realized that Kai wasn’t coming back, she saved her tears for another day and hour. With the red wolf, Sophia went to another place, hunting and doing their mission, but their thoughts were on Kai. They also found a spot to rest their eyes too. When they got tired, it’s when they got into a dead-end room.
The room had a brownish wall around it, with only two creatures inside, Sophia and the red wolf.
Sophia’s eyes were red, filled with tears all around. She was sitting on the ground leaning on the wall behind her, with her knees pointed upwards, leaving a 45-degree angle on her leg and thigh. Her hands surrounded her knees, then her shoulders near her knees.
When she got there (in the room), she was so less distracted that she remembered the nice-looking guy called Kai. She thought of his stupid, ridiculous death that just appeared from nowhere, and there was no sign of resurrection.
That’s when she sobbed, using up her saved tears. She was also calling him out. She had her head on top of her knees, and then she was glaring at the right, where the door was. She was saying, "Kai, where are you? Please just answer me. Give me a sign to find, no, to see you again. Maybe I can easily and properly thank you." Her tears flowed down from her eyes, going for her knees.
She raised her head up and fully leaned on the wall. She changed her sitting. She stretched her legs to the front and leaned on the wall with her head too. She didn’t stop crying either. She continued saying, "Kai, where are you? You can’t just leave me...." When she said so, she paused and glared at the wolf that also raised its head.
She looked at it with her tearing eyes and continued saying, "You can’t leave us here alone like that; you should come back. Please just come back, Kai." When she put "us" in her sentence, the understanding wolf returned to its position, but this time, it had its ears pointing straight upwards.
Sophia cried her eyes out as she thought of Kai’s kindness and look.
She looked like she was thinking, because when she leaned on the wall, she looked up, and she silently said, ’You saved me, my life, but what did I do? Just let you slip right under my nose....’
Suddenly, she heard a little whimper from the wolf. It had its eyes glued to the front of Sophia.
She got surprised and asked, "Hey Wolfy, anything wrong?"
With no response, the wolf raised its ears and opened its eyes as wide as could be. It looked at the exit and sniffed.
Sophia wiped her tears while her eyes were glued to the wolf that slowly and lowly whimpered while glaring at the exit. Sophia’s eyes were wide open, with her nose making noise as she sniffed.
"Anything wrong?" she asked again while glaring at the wolf. She continued angrily and silently, saying, ’Tsk, I hate it when I get to talk to things that can’t even speak. What a pain!’
She then looked at her knees and remembered her sword. She silently said, "Where’s my sword? Maybe there’s danger coming; I should just hurry.
She looked around at the dusty ground that was a bit cracked since it was just like any other barren land.
She saw her sword and grabbed her chest in relief with her left hand while she grabbed the sword with her right hand, and she said, "better."
When she said so, the wolf suddenly left in a hurry as if it were poured with hot water. Sophia’s eyes widened; her heart raced in fear.
Her mind rushed while she called out.
"Wolfy, wait up, Wolfy!"
She stood up fast too and chased the wolf that led the road and took a right turn after it exited the room.
Sophia got out of the room too and looked at the three ways. There were three of them, starting with the left one, then the right. There was also the other one that was going straight, exactly from the exit.
When she looked around, she never thought of a trail; she didn’t know that the wolf left its trail behind, and it can easily be chased. She just wanted to know why the red wolf that followed her had to run like that.
She took a road that was going straight, while the wolf took a right turn. They both raced with the air as they ran. The wolf found a curving left turn that led to Sophia’s side.
It rushed with that road, and Sophia raced too, towards the end that was visible in her eyes. Suddenly, she caught a glimpse of the wolf crossing to her left side.
"Huh, Wolfy?"
