Soul World Of Strong Souls-Chapter 76: Earth magic

Kai, Wolfy, and Sophia were indoors, in the dungeon. Sophia showed Kai that she can use magic. She stood up and stretched her hand in front of Kai’s face and said,

"Here, stand up and I’ll show you," she said with a smile on her face. Her gaze was on Kai, hinting happiness with what she said.

Kai was astonished by the sudden action; that’s why he said, "Huh?" in confusion. His left eyebrow was quirked while he glared back at her.

She opened her hand wider and said, "Come on!"

"Okay."

Kai grabbed her right hand with his right hand too and stood up.

She looked at where Kai was, and Kai moved to her left side. Sophia said, "I actually hate to use my magic skills since I think they are useless when it comes to flights!" she said while she glared at the ground.

Kai widened his eyes in astonishment and said, "Wait, useless?" he asked, his eyes filled with confusion while his eyebrows furrowed.

She calmly responded by saying, "Yes, for me, I’m not really fast, and my skill wants me to think a lot in order to use it, so that’s the boring part!" She looked down in disappointment, her eyes narrowed while glaring at the bare land that was only dusty.

Kai chuckled a bit and said, "Think, huh?"

A fake giggle escaped her mouth as she said, "Hahaha, yeah, it’s funny, huh?" she asked while she changed her face back to the expression that lacked emotions. She continued saying, "That’s the thing, I’m lazy when it comes to thinking because I have to think a lot, for imagining and more; that’s the boring part," she said while she smoothly attached the eyelids.

Kai then asked, trying to cheer her up and also to get her to tell him about her magic powers and how to use them. He asked, "What’s up with the boring part? And I don’t have problems with thinking or imagining, so I guess I’m a good person for magic use, right?" He smiled, showing a smooth and nice face.

She opened her eyes and looked at Kai, who was on her left side. Her eyes drifted back to the ground after she scanned Kai’s smiling face. She then said, "Yes, maybe; it depends on what you have. I mostly use earth magic. I verified it, and I stuck to it. I never thought of other types, so...."

Kai nodded while glaring at Sophia. He said, "Ohh, okay!"

"Wolfy, come closer," she said while she looked at the wolf that was standing, glaring at the right side. She then said, "And Kai...?"

"Mhh?" he responded.

"Tell me anything you want me to create that is made of earth, more like mud, rocks, or anything that is in the land that is not like minerals because gold and things like that are for high-ranking cultivators."

Kai raised his left eyebrow, hinting at confusion. He said, "Wait, are they cultivators?"

"Yes?" she responded. She then looked at the wall in front of her and said, "I can call them that since they get stronger with their powers."

Kai thought of her own well-being during battle. He then suggested, "Okay, create a wall, maybe something that will protect you during battle."

"On it," she said as she stretched both of her hands in front of her.

She closed her eyes and said, "Earth magic, come forth, unbricked wall!" Her voice echoed through the walls as she chanted.

The place started to shake getting Kai to lose his balance a bit,shake, and the wall suddenly grew from the ground.

"Sorry for the tremble!" She apologized while glaring at Kai, who was astonished. His eyes were wide open after he saw the wall sprouting from the ground. She continued saying, "I’m not really good with my own magic, but if I was, I would be faster than this, so yeah."

Kai smiled and said, "Wow, this is cool, which means I can do it too!"

"Yes, if you got the skill!"

Kai stood forward and said, "Okay, tell me to try and see what I can..."

The system popped up in Kai’s eyes before he finished his sentence. He slightly gulped and started reading what it said. As for the color, it was now back to normal, with a bluish background, leaving Kai with two colored eyes.

[SYSTEM NOTIFICATION]

Thank you for coming back. This is your third night, and it’s good that you are showing some enthusiasm.

Today’s task is to go and get your reward, and to get that reward, you’ll need a weapon that you have.

Find your way to the treasure room and get your reward.

That is your mini task; your big task is to visit the wolf family and finish the first floor.

Kai widened his eyes while he read. After reading, he said, "The what? Another mission?"

Sophia gazed at him and said, "You’ve got a mission?" she calmly asked.

"Yes!" Kai nodded. He then continued saying, "And it’s weird, and it’s hard to complete too, I’m sure."

"No mission always is. So, what is it about?" Sophia asked, her eyes on Kai’s.

"I’m supposed to go and get my reward, and again, I have to go and defeat the first floor of the wolf family."

The wolf whimpered and glared at Kai’s face, and again, Sophia glared at Kai with anger and frustration.

He glared at the whimpering wolf and said, "Yes, Wolfy, if I don’t do it in the next four hours, then," and he kneeled down to the wolf and held its neck with both of his hands. He continued saying, "I’ll die, so..."

Sophia looked at him since he was down. She held his right shoulder and said, "Okay, I also want to go to the reward treasure place, so we can go together."
