Sovereign of the Ashes-Chapter 1484: Peak of Rank Four
“What truly profound laws of truth,” Sein murmured, his brow furrowing in thought.
“Perhaps I should apply to the Magus Alliance to have Aetherend, Skyhold, and the others assigned to the legions near my battlefield once I return to the Clash of Civilizations. I wonder which fronts those intelligent robots are stationed on now,” he mused aloud.
“With the war raging so fiercely, and the Netherworld Star Domain still locked in brutal combat, they must have been deployed on their own missions long ago.”

Sein entrusted to Yuri to oversee the Magic Cube’s ability to produce Energy Amethyst.#
During this period, vast quantities of elemental crystals of every type, along with the neutral energy blocks he had seized on the frontlines, were fed into the cube.
As a result, the Magic Cube’s production of energy crystals surged dramatically.
While a portion of these was allocated to the Burning Flame Unit, the majority were temporarily stockpiled by Sein.
A single small shard of Energy Amethyst could trigger a major enhancement in low-tier intelligent robots.
However, for high-grade mecha like the Burning Flame Unit, which already possessed Rank Four combat strength, the improvement was far less significant.
Even after absorbing a large quantity of Energy Amethyst, the Burning Flame Unit’s power increase was only marginal.
Still, that was already impressive.
For intelligent robots, this was a completely new evolutionary path!
The discovery of Energy Amethysts and the Magic Cube’s newfound ability had been major blessings for Sein in recent days.
Another cause for celebration was Sia’s remarkably stable progress during her breakthrough to Rank Four.
Perhaps Sia’s situation reminded Sein of something, for he soon took the time to check on Reina.
Unlike Sia, Reina had not yet reached such profound depths in her understanding of the laws.
Even so, after thorough assessment and discussion, Sein concluded that she was actually also on the verge of breaking through to Rank Four.
The thought of potentially gaining two reliable Rank Four knight allies at once lifted his spirits considerably.
Sia and Reina were both useful allies to Sein. After centuries of working together, they had developed a seamless synergy with each other.
Reina was Sein’s woman, while Sia was his mother-in-law. Whether they eventually founded their own knightly orders or continued to serve under the Divine Tower of Ashes, either path would bring immense benefit to Sein.
Over the following period, Sein devised a highly detailed plan for Reina’s body-tempering regimen.
Reina’s constitution far surpassed Sia’s, so there was no need to repeat the same high-intensity tempering experiments that had been designed for Sia.
What Reina truly lacked was a deeper understanding of the law she commanded.
So far, Reina had wielded only geo-attribute battle qi, which was an area Sein had scarcely explored.
Beyond that, he had a hunch that Reina had also touched upon the law of strength. Her astonishing physical power alone was proof of that.
Of all beings who commanded the law of strength, Sein had encountered only two.
One was the God of Brute Force, whom he had slain in Faeloria. Sein had later gifted the god’s divine relic to Reina.
The other was Tourmaline, with whom Sein shared an exceptionally close bond.
Alas, after Sein’s last departure, Tourmaline too had left the Divine Tower of Ashes.
She had claimed she was going to find her sister, request command of a legion, and join the Clash of Civilizations.
But now that Sein himself had withdrawn from those frontlines to recuperate, Tourmaline was still nowhere to be found...
She was likely no longer in Magus World because Sein could sense no sign of her presence.
Could she really have gone to another interstellar battlefield? Sein could not help but wonder as he gazed up at the boundless sky.
“For the time being, you should keep the God of Brute Force’s divine relic with you at all times. Use it to attune yourself to the power of law contained within it,” Sein instructed. “The God of Brute Force wasn’t exactly a powerful deity, so you needn’t follow his entire path—just draw inspiration from it.”
He paused, then added calmly, “My expectations for you are far higher than what I ever had for that so-called god.”
“Okay.” Reina nodded simply.
As always, she obeyed whatever Sein said without hesitation.
He looked her over for a moment, his eyes landing on her slender waist and flawless figure. “Maybe if you put some of that weight back on, it’ll help you reach Rank Four,” he suggested casually.
“Huh?” Reina looked at him in surprise.
“I might be wrong,” he admitted, “but I believe evolution is a creature’s instinct—and appetite is your greatest desire. Since you lack profound insight into the law you wield, perhaps you should just follow your true nature instead.”
He spread his arms wide and continued, “So, do whatever you want. I won’t interfere for now.”
Reina gazed at him, puzzled but thoughtful. After confirming that he was serious, she murmured to herself, “Follow my true nature...?”

After finalizing the training regimen for Reina and the others, Sein also took time to help Selina, Eileen, and Marie resolve their recent experimental setbacks.
He had even spent some effort studying the cultivation methods of the Huusians, though the results were underwhelming.
Not every experiment yielded meaningful progress, after all.
Despite his many commitments, Sein had never neglected his own pursuit of the origin law over the years.
Still, he had a feeling that the rotational rest period granted to him by the Magus Civilization would soon come to an end.
At first, he had assumed that completing his infiltration mission into the Gallant Federation would earn him about a thousand years of respite.
But now, that expectation seemed overly optimistic.
The increasingly chaotic war situation, coupled with the fierce battles raging across multiple star domains, had left most Magus Civilization legions occupied.
They were either deployed to the frontlines or given only brief intervals for recuperation before new orders came down.
This situation, and the tension that permeated every battlefield, gave Sein an uneasy sense that the Magus Civilization was in a rush, doing everything it could to speed up the war’s progress.
The grand strategies behind the Clash of Civilizations were far beyond his current reach to ponder. 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺
After fifty-seven years of seclusion, spent in tireless experimentation and deep meditation within the Divine Tower of Ashes, Sein finally broke through the shackles restraining his knowledge and power.
He had reached the very pinnacle of Rank Four!
Two years after that, an old acquaintance arrived once again at the Divine Tower of Ashes.
The visitor was Medich, the Rank Four mage who had shown Sein kindness back during his initiate years.
Master Medich had come to bid farewell. He was soon to lead the Divine Tower of Luminaris’ legion to the frontlines.
From what Sein gathered, Medich’s destination was the battlefield of the Netherworld Star Domain.
“It’s been years. I never imagined you’d surpass me by such a margin,” Medich said with quiet emotion.
At the top level of the divine tower, he looked at Sein, who was radiating the faint yet unmistakable aura of a peak Rank Four mage.
