Chapter 1501: Divided by Ideals

Most Rank Five magic spells could never hope to clear the outer defenses of the Blue Star Civilization.

But Sein’s magic, infused with the Azure Flame’s potent decomposition power, could melt even the Gallant Federation’s metal fleets. Clearing Blue Star’s outer defenses was a trivial task for him.

As Sein stepped out of the vessel to begin his spellcasting, with Yuri guarding him in her Burning Flame Unit, two Rank Four Klytheran powerhouses moved in to provide cover at Karazo’s signal.

The strength of the surviving Klytherans far surpassed that of the Huusians.

Both races had originated from once medium-sized world civilizations, which only highlighted how much greater the Klytherans’ potential was compared to the Huusians.

Karazo’s legion for this Blue Star campaign numbered roughly seven hundred thousand. Among them were six fighters of Rank Four and above—two women and four men.

This was only a portion of their total strength. Elsewhere, a smaller detachment of the legion remained stationed at another location, guarded by two more higher-ranking combatants.

That stronghold served as the primary refuge of the Klytheran survivors. Before discovering the habitable Blue Star, the weaker members of the race had gathered there to survive and reproduce.

One of the female fighters, Kram, watched Sein with curiosity as he performed the incantation for his spell.

Magus World mages typically required a substantial amount of preparation when casting spells of immense destructive power or spells that covered vast areas.

Such extensive preparation was often impractical on chaotic battlefields.

However, once the incantation was complete, a Rank Four mage could use their mental focus and the power of laws to unleash elemental strikes far beyond the natural limits of their own elemental power.

As Sein chanted, asteroids engulfed in blue flames slowly gathered in the surrounding starry sky.

This attack method was beyond the comprehension of most Klytherans.

The Klytheran evolutionary system was too heavily dependent on the Klytherite embedded in their bodies.

They primarily relied on their physical strength and resilience during combat.

This was fundamentally different from Sein’s method of manipulating and drawing elemental energy from the surrounding space to deliver overwhelming strikes.

Many Klytherans were witnessing such an attack for the first time.

As for the Blue Star natives, who had never experienced an interplanar war, this was also their first time encountering a Magus World mage.

Guided by Sein’s focus, a massive cluster of blazing blue asteroids hurtled straight toward the Blue Star frontline.

A thin energy shield flickered to life beyond the Blue Star formation. It was one of the energy-based defenses developed by the Blue Star natives.

Of course, the fragile barrier stood no chance against Sein’s assault.

The blazing asteroids tore through the shield instantly, then ignited the entire metal defense line in the next moment.

A searing blue inferno swept across the outer battlefield of Blue Star.

The instant Sein’s flames lit up the starry sky, he became the “god” of the battlefield.

“Go ahead. You can move out now,” Sein signaled to the nearby Klytherans.

Kram watched the spectacle in stunned disbelief.

Sein had not even pushed his spell to its extreme, yet it had devastated Blue Star’s outer defense with ease!

Several Blue Star fleets even scattered in panic under the rolling barrage of flaming asteroids.

When confronted with a terrifying, incomprehensible power far beyond their ability to resist, lesser beings often reacted with panic and fear.

Using minimal force and elemental power expenditure to achieve overwhelming results was the ideal that every Magus World mage strove for.

Karazo reacted far quicker than Kram.

At his command, hundreds of thousands of Klytheran troops surged forward in unison toward the Blue Star frontlines!

The sheer visual impact of Sein’s earlier strike caused many Blue Star units that had not yet engaged to break formation and flee in panic.

One aspect of the Klytheran legion surprised Sein deeply.

This wandering race of the Astral Realm, bereft of a homeplane, had still managed to field fighters who all possessed life levels of at least Rank One!

Then again, even the Huusians could field millions.

The Klytherans were far stronger, and with only seven hundred thousand fighters in their ranks, ensuring everyone had reached at least Rank One was doable.

Likewise, the knights and mages of Magus World also needed to reach at least Rank One before they were even eligible to participate in an interplanar war.

Hundreds of thousands of Klytheran troops flew across the starry sky toward the burning Blue Star frontlines, with metallic warships providing fire support behind them.

Sein’s strange magic spell was remarkably effective against metal constructs, but its impact on ordinary flesh-and-blood creatures was far less immediate.

Some bold Klytheran fighters even moved in close to observe the effects firsthand.

Kram still had not joined the fray. When Sein asked, she explained that Karazo had specifically instructed her to remain behind and “protect” him.

It seemed the Klytherans still remembered how physically fragile Magus World mages were.

After casting his spell, Sein made no move to join the frontlines personally.

In the end, this was the Klytherans’ war.

As an external ally, Sein had already shown considerable goodwill by firing the opening shot.

Being overly enthusiastic would only invite suspicion and mistrust from the Klytherans.

Not far away in the starry sky, Karl had already engaged Karazo in combat.

The two Rank Five powerhouses, bound by blood yet divided by ideals, now clashed fiercely.

Karl wielded no special weapon, but as an alchemist, Sein studied Karl’s blue battle suit and crimson cape for a long moment.

The blue suit was nothing special. In his opinion, it was a decent divine artifact, seemingly infused with advanced technology.

But the crimson cape was something else entirely.

Even if it did not quite reach the level of a world-class secret treasure, it came remarkably close.

The deep, obscure fluctuations of law it radiated were not something an ordinary divine artifact could produce. They were the mark of an item approaching world-class caliber!

“Your father wore that cape when he stood against the Gallant Federation’s invasion and fought for Planet Klythera until the very end. And now you, who inherited it, turn against our civilization and raise your hand against your own people?”

Karazo’s eyes flared as two crimson beams shot toward Karl without a moment of hesitation.

Karl’s crimson cape billowed behind him. Young and exceptionally agile, he did not falter despite lacking Karazo’s overwhelming aura.
