Sovereign of the Ashes-Chapter 1515: Worry
On the southern battlefield of the Netherworld Star Domain, bordering the Sanoras Star Domain...
Centuries ago, this had been one of the fiercest battlegrounds of the entire Clash of Civilizations.
But now, centuries later, fighting here had mostly died down.
The steady northward shift of the frontlines marked a reversal in the offense-defense balance between the Magus Civilization and the Gallant Federation, signaling a major change in the war’s momentum.
At this stage, this vast region had become a crucial logistics hub and transit point for the Magus Civilization’s frontline operations against the Gallant Federation.
Countless elite legions of the Magus Civilization were either arriving nonstop to reinforce the front or rotating out for rest and recovery.
Thousands of space fortresses were scattered throughout this sector.
Even slightly inferior Rank One prism forts numbered in the tens of thousands.
Billions of combat troops and resources worth trillions of magicoins flowed through this star domain.
Because the Magus Civilization had been stationed here for so long, the entire region had grown incredibly prosperous in recent years.
This was especially true for the Sanoras Star Domain, which was closest to the front.
Originally, this Clash of Civilizations was expected to reach the Sanoras Star Domain and inflict devastating casualties.
Fortunately, the Magus Civilization managed to resist the Gallant Federation’s vanguard assault and push back with a counter-offensive.
As a result, not only did the Sanoras Star Domain avoid the catastrophe, but it even received major benefits and preferential policies as the Magus Civilization forces gathered here.
For instance, to improve legion mobility throughout the Sanoras Star Domain, the Magus Civilization leadership helped the Burning Sanoras to set up numerous large and medium-sized teleportation arrays for almost no cost at all.
On top of that, massive quantities of neutral energy blocks and rare alloy spoils seized from the frontlines were first transported to the Sanoras Star Domain before being distributed across the entire Magus Alliance.
One could only imagine how much profit the Burning Sanoras had made during this period!
If one had to name a member of the Magus Alliance that benefited the most from this Clash of Civilizations, it would, without question, be the Burning Sanora World!
That day, at the bases near the Sanoras Star Domain’s border in the rear, Feylis arrived at the space fortress of her apprentice, Lorianne.
One of Feylis’ arms shimmered with a flowing elemental aura, rippling with shifting light.
In the previous battle, she had suffered heavy injuries—ones that still had not fully healed until now.
To help her recover better, the Magus Civilization’s high command had granted her special permission to remain here and recuperate.
Rumor had it the order came directly from Zenasus, a Rank Seven Soul Overmage.
However, Feylis’ visit to Lorianne today was not to have her apprentice look at her wounds, but for something else entirely.
“I consulted an astrologer who is familiar with the Eastern Stargazing Heights, but we still cannot confirm his exact location, or whether he is alive,” Feylis said the moment she saw Lorianne.
“But you don’t have to worry so much. I believe there’s a good chance he’s still alive since his origin energy hasn’t faded from the Divine Tower of Ashes in Magus World,” she reassured her apprentice.
Not only Magus World, but many planar civilizations that reached a certain level of development had ways to monitor the status of their law-wielding beings.
Astrology was the most common and widely used method.
Another was observing the origin energy within divine towers. 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖
However, most of these monitoring methods were either inaccurate or prone to major errors. They were not guaranteed to be accurate.
If Sein had been erased by a powerful entity, that entity could easily use certain means to hide the traces, preventing the Magus Civilization from detecting anything.
Alternatively, the star domain where Sein was currently located might have strange force fields blocking both his divine tower and the Magus World astrologers from sensing him.
Throughout Magus World’s long history, there had been countless cases where law-wielding mages and knights had long died. Yet, their divine towers and knight orders showed no abnormalities, and divinations revealed nothing.
Having lived long enough and experienced countless storms, Lorianne could tell that her mentor was trying to comfort her.
She had already prepared herself for the worst.
Sein was her only apprentice. Losing him so suddenly would be a devastating blow.
Yet in front of her mentor and others, she maintained her composure.
Over the past years, she had also taken care of the Divine Tower of Ashes legion under Sein’s command, which had arrived early at the Netherworld Star Domain battlefield. “Hmm, I also think Sein is fine. We should be able to reach him before long,” Lorianne replied.
“How’s everyone else doing lately?” she asked, changing the subject.
“Gregory is still on the frontlines, helping with the cleanup against the Gallant Federation’s remnants. I heard Bernice was injured and is currently withdrawing, but she should be fine—she has Berecca with her,” Feylis replied.
As both a mentor and a mother figure, Feylis naturally understood that Lorianne was still deeply worried about her only apprentice.
Seeing the worry in Lorianne’s eyes, Feylis sighed.
“It’s all thanks to Sein getting the Golden Apple, and to you brewing the Golden Apple Potions, that I ended up with only an injured arm in this war. Otherwise, things could have been much worse,” she said.
“Don’t worry. Once that other Rank Six astrologer I know returns, I’ll ask him about Sein again. Or we can just go directly to Master Zenasus for help,” she added.
Though Zenasus, the founder of the Pyro Secret Society, was a Pyromancer, a soul overmage like him had dabbled in nearly everything.
His mastery of various fields far surpassed what any mage of Rank Six and below could imagine.
Lorianne responded to her mentor’s offer with a faint, restrained hint of relief, careful not to show too much emotion.
After the two exchanged updates on recent matters, Lorianne added, “I have recently concocted a new type of herbal potion. Master Feylis. It may help heal your arm.”
“Very well. I’ll give it a try,” Feylis said with a gentle smile.

Beyond Blue Star...
As conflict threatened to reignite across this small star domain, the Blue Star Civilization’s reinforcements suddenly arrived, catching both Sein and Karazo completely off guard.
The first to appear were the legions of the Shadowbat Civilization, specialists in sonic-wave weaponry and sonar technology.
When their vast legions appeared, Sein—still wearing his Faceless Mask—could not help but look toward the incredibly sleek Black Phantom at the center of their formation.
His intuition told him that the figure inside was looking right back at him.
Perhaps they had taken notice of the Faceless Mask as well.
The second to arrive was a Rank Four electro elemental being—a lifeform Sein had never encountered before.
