Chapter 1516: Renewing Peace Treaty

The sudden arrival of the Shadowbat Civilization legion brought Klytheran’s attempted offensive against Blue Star to an abrupt halt.

The Shadowbat Civilization had come to stop this war.

A force made up of one Rank Five creature and two Rank Four creatures, combined with Blue Star’s own forces, was more than enough to match Klythera’s high-level combat power.

Not to mention, another Rank Four Voltaran had appeared nearby, openly displaying friendliness toward Blue Star’s people.

If the arrival of the Shadowbat Civilization legion and the Voltaran forced Karazo to cool down, then the subsequent arrival of Aquaria’s legions and the female warriors of Marvelous Plane gradually tipped the balance of power toward Blue Star.

A war of such enormous cost was not something Karazo was willing to gamble on.

This conservative Rank Five Klytheran preferred only battles he could win with certainty.

And so, the clash that had seemed moments away from erupting came to a sudden standstill once again.

The Klytheran forces stepped back on their own, allowing the new interstellar reinforcements to join up with Blue Star’s lifeforms.

Once again, both parties returned to their respective negotiation tables.

Orric, the Rank Five powerhouse from Aquaria, crossed his arms and sneered inside the conference hall.

“What is there to negotiate? If you ask me, we should just wipe out these Klytherans. This star domain never welcomed them in the first place!”

He had come as Aquaria’s only high-ranking representative to aid Blue Star.

His only advantage over Auron, the Voltaran, was that he commanded two hundred thousand members of Ocean King’s Royal Guard.

In all his dealings with the outside world, Orric had never been the type to compromise.

True to his massive frame and rough temperament, he preferred solving problems with brute force.

Naturally, this attitude had already caused friction between him and Beatrice, the Rank Four powerhouse from Marvelous Plane, though he had just arrived on Blue Star.

Even Karl felt wary of this boorish ocean man. He was still a Klytheran, after all.

He did not want his people to wipe out Blue Star’s lifeforms, but he certainly did not want to see his own kind completely destroyed either.

What Karl sought was a way for both parties to coexist.

Darian, the Rank Five powerhouse from Shadowbat Civilization, did not immediately voice his stance. Ever since arriving on Blue Star, he had been rather silent.

Compared to the Klytherans, Darian now found himself more intrigued by Sein, who had appeared among the Klytheran legions.

Through Blue Star’s people, Darian learned that the being who had subtly displayed Rank Five strength seemed to hail from the Magus Civilization.

The Magus Civilization... Darian felt he had heard that name somewhere before, but the memory was faint.

The Magus Civilization was simply too far from the star domain where the Shadowbat Civilization was.

The two civilizations had almost no contact.

At least for now, the Shadowbat Civilization’s main concern was Arid Expanse World, with whom their conflicts had been growing more and more frequent.

In this situation, one side did not want a war, while the other feared the sheer number of reinforcements their opponent could call upon.

Even Karl could not understand how Blue Star had so many “friends”.

BANG!

During the meeting, the impatient Orric finally lost his temper, slamming his fist onto the table.

The specially crafted blue crystal tabletop shattered instantly under his strength.

The Blue Star council chairman only asked, “And what exactly are you planning to do?”

“If you decide to fight, Aquaria will stand with you. I believe the others will do the same,” Orric replied, nodding toward Beatrice and the rest.

Crude as he was, Orric was not wrong.

This time, Beatrice did not refute him. Instead, she turned her gaze toward the Blue Star chairman.

Darian remained silent. But given the Shadowbat Civilization’s usual stance, they would likely help if Blue Star chose to act.

After all, among all the reinforcements that had come to support Blue Star, the Shadowbat Civilization had contributed the largest forces, both in high and low-ranking troops.

As everyone’s attention shifted toward him, the Blue Star chairman exchanged a quick consultation with the other Blue Star representatives before cautiously suggesting, “Perhaps we should let this matter go? The Blue Star inhabitants from those two life planets have already been retrieved. We don’t have any real need for the planets themselves anyway.”

“War will always lead to innocent deaths. If possible, it would be best for us to resolve this with the Klytherans through negotiation,” the chairman added.

Orric rolled his eyes at the chairman’s response. He was starting to understand the mindset of these Blue Star creatures.

Honestly, they were... unbelievably nice.

“I don’t think this war will continue,” Sein said to Kram aboard the Klytheran vessel. “Forcing a direct confrontation isn’t wise. Are you guys even ready to take heavy losses?”

“Those Blue Star reinforcements probably don’t want to fight a war that has nothing to do with them either. Casualties are inevitable in war,” he added flatly.

The quick de-escalation of the conflict was largely thanks to the Klytheran fighters themselves. By mining the abundant Gray Quartz deposits around Blue Star, their individual strength had surged.

For the Rank Four and above Klytheran fighters in particular, their average power had risen by nearly thirty percent.

It was likely this reason that made the Shadowbat Civilization and the other reinforcements pull back so abruptly. Otherwise, they would have attacked long ago.

Orric, who had been itching for a fight, could have charged straight at the Klytherans himself. But he did not, because he had seen the sheer might of the Klytheran legion!

Without Blue Star and the other reinforcements at his back, Orric would be a fool to rush in alone.

“So what do you suggest we do?” Kram asked, stretching her back.

Her physical strength had grown noticeably since the first time Sein met her, thanks mostly to the inert crystals like Gray Quartz.

“End this pointless conflict right now and come with me to join the Magus Alliance. Our Magus Civilization is more than a thousandfold stronger than every native lifeform in this star domain!” Sein declared with absolute confidence.

“Once you join the alliance, I’ll personally request that a special operations legion be dispatched to help you Klytherans secure your interests in this star domain,” he offered.

Kram hesitated for a moment before replying, “Then I’ll go speak with Karazo.”

Not long after Kram departed, new information arrived.

Karazo had indeed set aside his determination to fight Blue Star and its reinforcements to the bitter end.

When he proposed renewing the peace treaty with the Blue Star lifeforms, the Blue Star side unexpectedly put forth a surprising request.

They wished to join the Magus Alliance as well... and asked Sein, the Rank Five mage, to serve as their witness!
