Spoiled by the CEO after amnesia!-Chapter 1328 - 1306: Like a Doll, Powerless to Resist
Xiaotao choked up as she recounted in detail the incident that had upset Chu Xinyue.
Chu Yanhan never imagined that in such a short time, his daughter would have gone through so many things, and his face gradually turned solemn.
***
That day, Chu Yanhan stayed at the Ya Family and didn’t return to the Chu Family in the city.
Everyone in the Ya Family knew that, with the Crown Princess in such a state, how could Chu Yanhan leave? Moreover, he certainly harbored unspoken anger towards His Highness.
The servants prepared a guest room, and Chu Yanhan moved in. Every morning, he would visit his daughter, and apart from that, discussed her condition with a psychiatrist. Each time he encountered Ya Chen, he would remain silent, with a deep scowl on his face.
...
That evening, a servant came to Ya Chen and said, "Your Highness, Mr. Chu wants to speak with you and is waiting downstairs."
Ya Chen’s expression shifted slightly. Chu Yanhan had been staying at the Ya Family for nearly a week and had spoken to him less than five times. If he was seeking him out today, it must be important.
He didn’t ask further questions, put down his specialized psychiatric book, grabbed the metal cane leaning against the table, and went downstairs.
...
The first-floor hall.
Ya Chen and Chu Yanhan sat across from each other on the sofa. The lingering rays of sunset cast warm glows on their shoulders, yet they exuded a chilling atmosphere.
After a few minutes of silence, Chu Yanhan was the first to speak. His tone was calm, devoid of anger, as if stating a decision: "I discussed with Jiayi over the phone, and we think it would be best to take Xinyue to China for treatment."
Ya Chen’s grip on the cane suddenly slackened: "To China?"
Chu Yanhan nodded, "An Haokang, who previously cured Jiayi’s amnesia, is a world-renowned psychology expert. It’s said he has tackled many challenging cases successfully. Jiayi has shared Xinyue’s condition with Dr. An, and he feels confident about a cure. Therefore, I want to take Xinyue back to China."
"Nanga also has excellent psychiatrists."
"But I’ve been here almost a week, and I haven’t observed any progress in Xinyue’s condition. Besides, taking Xinyue to China for treatment would also benefit the Ya Family. If the news of Xinyue’s illness spreads, do you want the public to say the Royal Family has a mentally ill daughter-in-law?"
The moment he finished speaking, footsteps approached.
Ya Qianhuai had apparently arrived and overheard their conversation, his voice carrying over: "Ya Chen, just let Xinyue go to China with her father."
Chu Yanhan sneered softly, knowing his words had struck a chord with Ya Qianhuai.
If news of Xinyue’s illness got out, it would indeed be unfavorable for the Ya Family.
Even in modern society, there remains a certain stigma towards mental illness, let alone in a high-profile royal family.
Ya Chen frowned deeply, pondering for a few minutes. Then he spoke: "I need some time to consider. Additionally, even if Xinyue goes to China for treatment, I will accompany her."
Chu Yanhan scoffed, "You go with her? Don’t you understand yet? Shall I be blunt? You are the source of Xinyue’s distress! With you around, how can she possibly recover? My aim in taking her to China is not only to access top-notch doctors but also to let her temporarily avoid you, which should aid her recovery."
Seeing the tension between the two men, the butler hurriedly intervened, "Alright, alright, it’s late. Let’s have dinner first, and we can discuss this again."
Discuss what? Chu Yanhan had no intention of dining: "I’ll wait for your response."
Then, he turned and left in a huff.
**
Later that night.
The door opened, and Xiaotao saw Ya Chen come in, quickly standing up: "Sir."
"Have you had dinner?" Ya Chen approached.
Xiaotao glanced at the uneaten meal beside the young lady, helplessly: "No."
Ya Chen slowly walked over, sat beside Chu Xinyue.
Xiaotao immediately understood his intent, handed him a spoon, placed the food beside him, and then stepped aside.
He wrapped his arm around her fragile waist easily lifting her onto his lap. Perhaps he should be grateful it was his legs that healed because at least now he could hold her.
She reflexively twitched but then had no further response, her eyes empty, devoid of spirit, like a doll letting him manipulate.
His heart stirred, realizing that even if a stranger took advantage of her, she would silently endure; thus, he pulled her firmly into his embrace, gently prying her lips open with a spoon: "Just a bite."
Her lips were tightly shut.
He maintained considerable patience, gently coaxing her: "Just one bite. After that, you can do a puzzle or play with a model, whatever you like."
Finally, her little mouth parted ever so slightly.
He seized the opportunity to feed her the thick egg custard he had prepared.
With his gentle coaxing and persuasion, she eventually ate some.
Though Xiaotao initially felt quite angry with Sir, because no matter what, he should not have unilaterally sent the young lady for an abortion, which was way too authoritarian, but seeing how he treated the young lady now, she just couldn’t harbor the anger anymore.
It’s just a pity that the young lady was now oblivious, confused, perhaps not even aware of who was beside her, let alone how Sir was treating her.
After dinner, Xiaotao led Chu Xinyue to the bathroom for a bath. Afterward, she helped her to bed, tucked a blanket over her, and looked towards Ya Chen: "Will you be staying with the young lady tonight?"
"Yes."
Xiaotao left and closed the door.
Ya Chen moved to the bedside, as usual, got onto the bed, and wrapped his arms around Chu Xinyue from behind. Feeling her tremors, he gently drew her into his embrace until she calmed down and closed her eyes.
She curled up into a ball, nestling in his arms, seeking temporary peace with such posture.
"Your father wants to take you to China for treatment. Would you like that?" He whispered in her ear, his deep voice soothing and gentle.
In his arms, she remained silent, like a pool of still water.
If he had been hesitating before, at this moment, his resolve was firm. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢
His hands slipped forward, clasping hers as if issuing a command: "In six months, let’s both recover, you your illness, I my eyes, alright?"
Her body trembled slightly, perhaps a silent response.
******
Five days later, Chu Yanhan boarded a plane back to China with Chu Xinyue.
On the day of departure, Ya Chen didn’t go to see them off, instead dispatching a fleet of royal vehicles and a squad of military police to escort the father and daughter to the airport.
The Ya Family honored Chu Yanhan’s wishes, keeping the departure of the Crown Princess private, without any public announcement.
The Chu father and daughter didn’t take the royal private jet, instead, they traveled as ordinary passengers in the first-class cabin of a commercial flight leaving Nanga.
...
The sun was shining brightly when the plane came to a stop at Yunling International Airport in China.
Chu Yanhan’s diplomatic envoy was waiting at the airport to welcome the father and daughter home.
