Spoiled by the CEO after amnesia!-Chapter 574 - 572 Sleepwalking
Liang Anya was sleeping sweetly, like she was hugging a ball of cotton candy, when a thunderclap suddenly burst through her dreams, jolting her awake. Her eyes flew open to find the devil himself sitting up, glaring at her angrily.
"Alright, alright. I’m here," she wiped the drool from her mouth and stood up, still groggy. "What do you need? Are you feeling unwell?"
"Water," Si Yuheng said coldly, "Next time I have to repeat myself, you’re going back to the basement."
Liang Anya broke out in a cold sweat, scrambling off the couch to pour a cup of warm water from the dispenser and handed it to him.
Si Yuheng took the glass of boiled water and gulped it down, leaving not a drop. Liang Anya took back the cup, intending to return to the couch, but her hand was suddenly gripped and she was swept back like a gust of wind!
Caught off guard, she found herself sitting on the European-style bed, eyes wide: "Do you want more water?"
"You’re staying that far away? How are you going to take care of me? I don’t want to have to shout for you in the middle of the night," Si Yuheng patted the mattress.
Liang Anya swallowed nervously but could only reluctantly gaze at the big, soft couch one last time before dragging a chair over to the side of the bed.
As soon as Si Yuheng saw her settled, he lay down with a sense of relief.
Gradually, the man’s breathing became even and steady.
Liang Anya had never thought she’d be this close to the devil.
But...
She shrugged it off; after all, wasn’t it just about placating a man?
Even the scariest of men was still just a man.
As long as she served him well over these few days, once he was pleased, her life would be secure.
Watching Si Yuheng sleep soundly, Liang Anya herself began to feel her eyelids grow heavy; the drowsiness she hadn’t quite shaken off earlier was coming back in force.
Never before in her life, like in this moment, did every cell and pore in her body scream for sleep.
She curled up on the hard chair, unable to find a comfortable position, her back aching, and nearly fell to the floor multiple times.
Not even the greatest terror could win over the need for sleep.
Her eyelids drooping, she peered at Si Yuheng on the large bed.
The bed was big enough to fit five or six adults sleeping side by side.
It seemed a terrible waste for him to sleep there alone...
Finally unable to bear it any longer, she sat down on the carpet, using her arms as a pillow and leaning against one corner of the bed.
This way, she could sleep and still be close by.
At his call, she could wake up at any time...
Once she laid down, the overwhelming drowsiness swept over her, completely crushing any resistance...
...
Si Yuheng was awakened by the sound of footsteps near his ear.
Had that girl gotten up?
He opened his eyes and turned over; outside, the night was still deep, well into the wee hours.
Through his sleepy haze, he saw Liang Anya moving around the dimly lit room.
"Damn it, what the hell are you doing at this time of night!" Si Yuheng yelled irritably.
Liang Anya continued pacing the room, ignoring the man behind her.
Si Yuheng narrowed his eyes: "You looking to die? Be careful or I’ll end you."
The girl seemed utterly unfearful, not reacting at all, still wandering back and forth.
A chill ran up his spine as he sensed something was wrong.
She seemed to be walking aimlessly, like a headless fly.
"Liang Anya," Si Yuheng’s tone became more severe.
It seemed his voice finally disturbed Liang Anya.
She turned around, at last slowly making her way to the edge of the bed in response to his voice.
Si Yuheng breathed a sigh of relief, he had damn near thought the girl was possessed.
He hadn’t even had a chance to speak before she had already plopped herself onto Si Yuheng’s European-style bed.
"This is preposterous," Si Yuheng didn’t know what she was planning to do and felt a great insult to his dignity. He instinctively reached for the handgun underneath the pillow, chambered a round, and aimed at her temple, "Get off."
The girl swayed a bit, seeming completely oblivious to the fact that a gun was pointed at her head and that a slight misfire would mean her end.
Instead of getting off, she continued to move towards the center of Si Yuheng’s bed and then lifted her hands to remove her small outer jacket.
Si Yuheng’s expression froze.
Damn it, was she trying to seduce him?
Under the faint moonlight coming in through the window, Liang Anya was wearing only a tight tank top. Her slender waist, delicate neck, full and perky behind, and blossoming chest were all within the man’s line of sight.
She didn’t have the bust size of Kasey and Amy, but rather the typical physique of a Chinese girl, slender and svelte.
Used to the greasiness of rich foods, she was like a bowl of clear congee and simple side dishes, presented right before Si Yuheng’s eyes.
It would be a pity to kill someone like that.
His gaze narrowed and he couldn’t help but retract his gun, sneering, "You think you can get me to let you go just like that?"
Liang Anya didn’t say a word, pulling Si Yuheng’s blanket around herself.
What guts she had!
He finally began to suspect something, leaned in closer, and at the same time, got a clear look at Liang Anya’s face.
On her clean, honey-colored oval face, her eyelashes drooped, eyes tightly shut.
This girl—
Wasn’t climbing into his bed to tempt him, she was—
Sleepwalking!
Si Yuheng was suddenly taken aback!
Right at that moment, Liang Anya had already moved to the very center of the bed, found a comfortable position, and lied down.
It took Si Yuheng a moment to snap back to reality, looking at how she occupied most of the bed, he felt both anger and amusement. As he bent down, about to pull her up and toss her aside, a distinct fragrance belonging to her wafted to him.
It wasn’t like the strong perfume scent found on Kasey and Amy.
The scent on this Chinese girl was subtle, a natural body fragrance, seemingly a blend of fruit and floral, soothing to the senses.
Si Yuheng’s arm hovered mid-air.
His mother was also Chinese.
Though his parents died in the gang fights involving the use of weapons when he was in his teens, he still vaguely remembered that his mother always had this faint scent about her.
He never resented fate for leaving him orphaned and destitute at a young age.
With great power comes the necessity to face the storms that follow.
His parents were both leaders of Beiming Hall, thus it was their destiny to face calamities that ordinary people couldn’t imagine in their lifetimes.
Just like himself, though he may appear triumphant now, perhaps one day a stronger gang would rise and take him down.
Therefore, over the years, he only reminisced about his parents during the occasional midnight dreams.
Tonight, though, this Chinese girl stirred the solitude deep within his heart.
From the side angle, her silhouette even bore a slight resemblance to his mother’s.
As if moved by some unseen force, his thick lashes fluttered, and he went down to embrace her.
Ever since he had come of age, there had been no shortage of women around him.
In bed with women, he usually went straight to the point. To do nothing but hold and fall asleep like he did today, that was a first for him.
Apparently, the embrace felt good, and Liang Anya stretched her legs out, entwining them around the man’s waist.
Mhm. This was even more comfortable.
Just before drifting off to sleep, Si Yuheng faintly heard her mutter a few words in her dreams.
It seemed to be someone’s name.
