SSS Awakening: Rebirth of the Strongest Vampire God-Chapter 146: Necro God vs Blood God
Chapter 146: Necro God vs Blood God
Damon was low-key extremely nervous right now. There were other powerful players in the game, but this one was different. He was a personal fan of the Necro God. In his last life, two necromancer players stood at the top.
One was the Deviant King Mo Cheng from the Chinese super guild, and the other was the Necro God. Even with all the support from a super guild, ultimately, Mo Cheng could only barely come to Necro God’s level.
But Necro God was different. The man was cool, indifferent, and he had a vibe that made people want to admire him. Single-handedly, he made an army of thousands of undead and claimed an entire kingdom for himself.
Damon had no shame in admitting that he was a huge fan of the guy. Necro God wasn’t just another skilled player; he was a legend. freewebnσvel.cøm
Damon had spent hours watching videos of Necro God’s fights. He remembered the forums buzzing with rumors about his tactics, how he’d take down entire guilds by himself, commanding an army of the dead like some unstoppable force.
Deviant King Mo Cheng, with all the resources of a super guild behind him, had tried to challenge Necro God’s throne, only to fail repeatedly.
But Necro God? He didn’t need a guild. He didn’t need flashy titles or a horde of supporters. He was just... him. Cool. Calm. Collected. The type of player you wanted to be, someone whose name alone could make people tremble.
And now Damon was going to face him, one-on-one.
Damon’s heart rate quickened. He was actually going to fight with Necro God. Even though it was still very early in the game and he probably wouldn’t have grown into the man he would eventually be, it still gave him the chills. How was he going to fare against this god-like player with god-like skills?
Damon took a deep breath, steadying himself. "This is it," he muttered and even prepared himself by conjuring the daggers beforehand. He was fully prepared to go all out in this fight. He wanted to win no matter the cost.
The next moment, the teleportation light faded, and a person stepped onto the arena.
Damon froze. His jaw dropped to the ground as he stared at the person in front of him.
Or should he say... kid in front of him?!!
"You have got to be kidding me?! How old are you? 8? What the fuck?" Damon blurted out in shock.
The kid was maybe eight or nine, with a mop of messy black hair that half-covered his eyes. He clutched a staff that looked way too big for him, and his robes were so long they dragged on the ground. He looked at Damon with rage filling his eyes.
From the looks of it, Damon’s little comment had triggered him or something.
The kid’s small hands clenched around the staff, his knuckles white. He glared at Damon with all the fury an eight-year-old face could muster. "I’m fifteen!" he shouted, his voice cracking a little.
Damon blinked. "You sure about that?"
But before he could say anything else, the system chimed:
[Ding! Duel Begins]
The kid’s staff glowed with dark energy, and shadows started swirling around his feet. Damon’s eyes widened.
A sudden surge of necrotic energy exploded outward, forcing Damon to leap back as the arena shook. Bones sprouted from the ground, forming skeletal hands that clawed at the air.
This guy was unmistakably a necromancer and a good one at that!
Damon’s face fell. There went his hopes of some nickname confusion or perhaps some other type of weird coincidence down the drain. This guy was probably the Necro God.
The kid’s eyes glowed an eerie purple as he raised his staff. "Blood God, huh?" he sneered, his voice dripping with hatred. "Prepare to be crushed!"
Damon smiled bitterly. Why? Why, of all people, his idol had to be like this?
First it was Arya and now it was Necro God. The game had already banned changing identities and shit like that and despite that, these two were cat fishing big time!
"Move, loser," the kid hissed, his eyes gleaming with a fierce purple light. "Start the fight. Don’t disappoint me, or I’m gonna turn you into one of my minions."
Damon sighed. "Maybe you have a growth spurt later, and maybe even get some sort of character growth?" He thought out loud, absent-mindedly side-stepping the attack of the skeletons.
The kid’s face twisted into a snarl. "Shut up, loser!" he spat, his staff pulsing with even more dark energy. The shadows around his feet writhed like living things, their skeletal hands grabbing at Damon’s ankles.
The kid’s eyes glowed brighter. "Don’t underestimate me, Blood God!" he snapped. "I’m gonna make you regret ever stepping into this arena!"
Damon sighed dramatically. "Yeah, yeah," he muttered.
A low growl escaped the kid’s throat. "You talk too much!"
Bones burst from the ground, forming a massive skeletal warrior that swung a rusted sword at Damon’s head. Damon ducked under the swing.
He no longer had any interest in this fight. His situation had become like the guy who unknowingly pushed his girlfriend into the swimming pool, only to discover that an ugly hag was hiding behind his sexy girlfriend. Except his situation was so much worse.
"Ah, fuck it. It doesn’t matter." Damon activated Shadow Step and appeared behind Necro God. However, unlike the opponents before, this time there was a surprise waiting for him.
Before Damon’s dagger could strike, a sudden pulse of dark energy exploded around the kid, like a shield made of shadows. Damon’s blade clanged off it, sending a shock up his arm.
The kid turned his head slowly, a wicked grin splitting his face. "Did you really think it’d be that easy, Blood God?" he sneered.
The shadows coiled tighter around the kid’s staff, forming a jagged, glowing blade that pulsed with necrotic energy. "You think you’re the only one with fancy moves?" he spat.
Bones burst from the ground, forming a ring of skeletal warriors that blocked Damon’s retreat with some sort of forefield. The kid raised his staff, and the skeletal blade gleamed.
"Now it’s my turn," the kid declared, his grin stretching wider. "I’m gonna show you what a real necromancer can do."
