SSS Class Awakening: Start With A God-Level Choice System-Chapter 25: A Beautiful Girl’s Impending Doom
Chapter 25 - A Beautiful Girl’s Impending Doom
Only an evolver who awakened a space-type superpower could enter the convenience store without alerting her. Not to mention, the beautiful girl saw that Ainsworth didn't bring any bag yet all the items in the convenience store were gone.
As for the possibility of Ainsworth owning artifacts, the beautiful girl didn't think Ainsworth had one. Or rather, she didn't even know whether artifacts existed or not.
It has only been the first day of the zombie outbreak and she was just one of the lucky people who evolved due to a positive mutation caused by the zombie virus. Those who were unlucky and couldn't resist the zombie virus had already transformed into mindless zombies.
In other words, she was infected by the zombie virus but instead of becoming a zombie, she became an evolver and awakened an ice-based superpower.
Chloe Harrington, the beautiful girl who awakened an ice-based superpower, didn't want to offend Ainsworth. After all, it was a no-brainer that space was a superior element compared to ice.
If she provoked Ainsworth, then she couldn't even deal with him as her ice wasn't as fast as a space-based evolver's teleportation. However, it was also impossible for her to let go and act like nothing happened.
Noticing that Ainsworth didn't have any plans of explaining or even making an excuse, Chloe complained with indignation, "I risked my life to step out of the girl's dormitory to get food and supplies for my girl friends and classmates. I've already killed like fifty zombies while you didn't do anything other than sneak inside here to steal EVERYTHING."
"Can't you at least give me some supplies rather than wiping everything here clean?"
Hearing Chloe's complaints, Ainsworth stared at her silently for several seconds before he planned to respond.
But before he could, he heard a familiar notification sound in his mind.
-Ding!

[(1) Subdue Chloe and cook a zombie dish that contains the most potent zombie virus that you can ever make so that her virus resistance will be useless against it. Afterwards, say:
"The human flesh is weak. Ascend to a higher lifeform and become a zombie!"
(Reward: Obtain this world's limited edition S-rank sub-class "Evolver" with the superpower awakened related to "Pathogen Control".)]
[(2) Butcher Chloe and use her body as an ingredient to create a dish that can allow anyone to become an evolver with an even higher quality ice-based superpower than what she has.
(Reward: Obtain this world's limited edition S-rank sub-class "Evolver" with the superpower awakened related to "Ice".)]
[(3) Leave her silently and do nothing to her.
(Reward: Obtain this world's limited edition S-rank sub-class "Evolver" with the superpower awakened related to "Invisibility").]
[(4) Give half of your supplies to Chloe and apologize for being selfish.
(Reward: Obtain this world's limited edition S-rank sub-class "Evolver" with the superpower awakened related to "Power Transfer")]
[(5) Choose none of the given options and choose your own path.
(Reward: None)]
As usual, when the choices were displayed in front of Ainsworth, time had stopped to allow him the time to choose his options.
But when he saw the choices, especially Choice 1 and 2, he didn't expect that the system dared give him a choice of either forcing Chloe to become a zombie or even using her as an ingredient.
'If I'm not mistaken, Choice 2 means that I can not only obtain the choice reward, but I can even give the dish I cooked using Chloe as an ingredient to either Rian or Dante and one of them will gain the S-rank sub-class Evolver with the ice superpower.'
'Choices 3 and 4 aren't that appealing in terms of rewards, especially Choice 4 since power transfer is a shitty superpower. I'm not selfless enough to transfer my power to others and even I'm not certain if I can take back the power I transferred since the ability name is vague. So that's out of my options.'
While deep in thought, Ainsworth ignored Choice 5 since if he chose it, his God-Level Choice System might as well not exist.
Although it was good that his system didn't force him to choose a predetermined choice and still left him a way out, it was the worst choice he could ever make since Choice 3 was still better than it.
Ainsworth knew that the more power he had the better especially when he was currently in an Otherworld with a sixth difficulty which his teachers hadn't even taught him about.
There was nothing wrong with being cautious so Ainsworth decided that as long as the choices weren't something that forced him to betray his friends and his interests, then he wouldn't mind if it was something that harmed others.
'The Otherworld Mission that Rian, Dante, and I have received wasn't related to saving or protecting this world. Since it's not that type of mission, I can treat that as the Earth's Will not caring about what mess the three of us are going to make in this Otherworld.'

'So, I can let loose and make decisions I normally couldn't make on Earth due to them being against the law. After all, humans on Earth have human rights while the humans on the Otherworld don't.'
No matter how inhumane the awakeners were in the Otherworld, the major forces and law enforcement on Earth didn't care about it.
Even if the deeds performed by the awakeners were so disgusting that they couldn't be purified, as long as the awakener put down the butcher knife whenever they returned to Earth, then the government wouldn't care about it.
In fact, it was encouraged that for the sake of the awakeners' growth, it was best to throw all morality aside and strive to complete the Otherworld Missions to the highest degree of completion.
Because of that, heinous criminals on Earth could vent in the Otherworld. By doing so, they could restrain themselves better when they returned to Earth and could act in Earth and all of humanity's best interests.
Even Edenbridge High's teachers lectured the students about it and emphasized that completing the Otherworld Mission and becoming stronger was paramount.
Ainsworth was well aware of that and due to him wanting to achieve his revenge against those who wronged his sister, he decided to let himself loose in this world.
All for the sake of becoming stronger!
'All right, I'll choose Choice 1.'
