SSS Ranked Shadow Monarch: Summoning Infinite Shadows-Chapter 237: Casper’s fighting ability

Casper stood looking at Aren with an emptiness behind his eyes, he scanned Aren from head to toe.

Aren looked at Casper, and instantly, every alarm bell in his mind was already blaring.

’Who the hell is this dude? He barely has a tangible presence, yet he is somehow still extremely oppressive as he stands.’

Aren subconsciously took a step back, his guard climbed, he watched every move of Casper.

Casper observed the movement, but he did nothing against Aren, simply spoke, "Surrender now, and your death will be painless." Casper said calmly.

"Sorry, but I can’t." Aren replied.

"Then you’ll die a painful one." Casper said and instantly vanished.

Aren’s eyes darted all around searching for Casper, but he couldn’t even find a trace of him, not with his eyes and not with Shadow Sense.

Then Casper appeared.

He drove his fist forward right into Aren’s guts.

Aren arched backwards while coughing blood, his eyes wide in pure shock.

’Ack, how-how did he do that? I didn’t sense him at all, it was like I was hit by a ghost.’

Aren’s body flew through the air like a rocket, he slammed into the ground, bounced and then crashed into the ground again.

Everything was blurry for Aren in that instant, he lifted his head only to see Casper’s leg coming for his face.

’Shit, I have to move, come on body, move, move move, move.’

At the last moment he managed to tilt his head backwards and evade the kick, the wind from it slashed into his face, but he survived.

Aren rolled away faster while summoning multiple shadow wolves at the same time. All of them rushed out, growling and snarling.

The first one lunged at him, Casper swung his hand and slammed into the wolf, ripping it apart at once. He proceeded to use the same hand to completely rip through every wolf that was headed his way, swatting them left and right like flies.

Aren was on one knee, he looked up and saw how Casper was handling his summons, he gritted his teeth in anger.

"Let’s see how far you can take it." Aren said before summoning every panther, ant, and wolf in his arsenal, creating a small army of summons, they all rushed at Casper.

Casper didn’t change his attack, he kept using one hand, cutting through each one that attacked. Some of the panthers used their speed, getting around and attacking, one managing to latch onto the back of Casper’s hand, but Casper swung the hand extremely hard, slamming the panther into the ground.

Aren used the time bought and got to his feet, wasted no time, summoning his dark armour, shadow armour as well as the Ancient Devourer Blade.

"Let’s go all out on this dude." He said, ready to join the attack, but then Casper did something.

He lifted his foot into the air and then stomped hard into the ground, instantly the ground exploded and rocks shot into the air. While the rocks were mid air, Casper went low as if preparing to jump, then he launched upward, proceeding to kick and punch every rock into each shadow with accuracy, completely destroying them.

He landed on the ground with grace and then looked up at Aren, dashing forward with a teleport-like speed.

Aren couldn’t follow at all, Casper came in with a kick to the head.

"Shit, shit shit shit." Aren cursed, trying to dodge the kick at the last moment, the foot grazed his head, and blood gushed out, he was thrown back from just the force of the kick alone.

Aren slammed into the ground, stabbed his sword into the ground and stopped himself, he looked up with his forehead bleeding, rage in his eyes.

Casper looked at him, still with complete disinterest and care, like this was an average afternoon to him.

Aren slowly got up to his feet, he looked at Casper and then chuckled. "You really are unbothered right now, I don’t register as a threat, do I?" Aren asked, he slowly shifted into a stance, and gripped his sword tight.

"Let’s change that." He said and then activated his dark armour, immediately his stats rose. He charged forward like a bullet.

When he entered a good range, he planted his foot into the ground, leaving a crack as he launched into the air.

’There is no way my attack will land, I know that, but he doesn’t know that I know that, he’ll defend or dodge the normal attack, that allows me to do something different and take him by surprise.’

Aren slashed down full strength, Casper’s eyes followed the blade, he simply stepped back and dodged the blade, but in that exact moment, tendrils shot out, they latched onto Casper, but all they caught was an afterimage, the real Casper had vanished.

’What the hell? I didn’t even see him move at all, what’s happening?’ Aren’s mind began working overdrive, but he didn’t need to think for long because Casper appeared beside Aren, swinging down with a powerful punch.

’Shit, I’m about to die,’ Aren thought, quickly using shadow form, the fist swung through him and slammed into the ground, a massive wave exploded outward, slamming into Aren and throwing him back.

He flipped in the air and managed to land on his feet, skidding backwards for a few meters before coming to a stop.

’Shit, his speed isn’t something I can even follow at all.’

Aren looked up, and Casper already closed the gap, sending a kick for his head, Aren leaned back and dodged the attack.

His hands crackled with lightning as he came back forward to attack, thrusting his hand forward like a claw, Casper dodged to the side, keeping his eyes on Aren.

Casper stepped in closer, stretched his hand to grab Aren, but Aren stepped back and then swung his sword at Casper, who dodged again, spun around and then sent a kick into Aren’s gut.

The kick came in too fast, and Aren couldn’t react, the underside of the boot slammed into his chest and sent him flying through the air, he landed again, still on his feet.

"Sigh, fighting myself is basically useless, this dude just keeps getting faster and stronger the faster and stronger I get." Aren said in exhaustion.
