SSS-Ranked Summoner: Only I Summon All Heroes And Heroines Of Legend-Chapter 19: Temporary Trio
She hadn’t moved. She hadn’t even turned around to scan for potential teammates. She just sat there, both arms placed on her thighs, staring at nothing.
Around her, an invisible perimeter had formed. The nearest students were at least two desks away on either side.
"What about her?" Altair gestured with his chin.
Ryka followed his line of sight and immediately freaked.
"Svenja? Are you serious?"
"She looks like she needs two to make a group, and we need just one."
"Altair, she’s..." Ryka lowered her voice to a whisper. "You saw what she did to Eric’s golem. She didn’t stop when he forfeited. At least mine was an accident, hers was definitely intentional. Master Oz had to step in."
"Hmm."
"And you still want to ask her?" Ryka continued
Altair leaned back in his chair, considering it. Svenja was powerful, that much was obvious. Her control over those orbs was frightening. The problem wasn’t her ability. it was her restraint, or the lack of it.
But.
She was also sitting alone in a class where everyone needed a group of three. That meant something.
"She’s strong," Altair said. "If we’re going into an unknown plane, I’d rather have someone who can actually fight beside us."
"She might try to kill us," Ryka countered.
"She might try." He stood. "And If it comes to that, I’m confident she can’t take both of us."
Ryka sunk in her seat. "I’m still not comfortable with this"
"Unless you have a better idea.?"
She looked around the room again. Groups were solidifying fast. The window was closing, and she barely knew anyone else let alone possess the courage to ask for a teammate.
"Fine," Ryka said reluctantly. "But if she kills me in some alternate dimension, I’m haunting you."
"Hehe" Altair chuckled slightly "Deal."
Altair walked down the aisle toward the front row. Behind him, he could feel Ryka following a step behind, a bit hesitant but she followed still.
Step
The noise in the classroom felt distant suddenly, like he’d stepped into a pocket of silence that moved with him. Maybe that was just in his head, or maybe it was Svenja’s aura.
He reached Svenja’s desk and stopped beside it.
She didn’t look up.
Up close, he could see her more clearly. The complete absence of expression on her face, like the blank of a corpse, and her extremely pale skin.
"Svenja," Altair said.
He got no response.
"Svenja... Hor-hen-zeeel-lin?." He tried so hard but still butchered her last name.
Her eyes shifted. Not her head, just her eyes, angling up toward him with the same unsettling emptiness he’d seen in the arena.
"Pardon me, but we need a third for our group," Altair said evenly. "And it looks like you need a group as well, want to join us?"
For a long moment, she just stared.
Then, without a word, she looked back down at her desk.
Altair waited. Beside him, Ryka adjusted uncomfortably, both of them being under the same house didn’t make her any less suspicious.
"Okay," Svenja said finally.
That was it, one word.
Then silence again.
"Great," Altair said, because what else was there to say? "We’ll coordinate before next class."
Svenja gave the smallest nod, barely a movement at all.
Altair turned and walked back to his seat with Ryka right behind him. When they sat down, Ryka immediately leaned in close.
"That was the most uncomfortable conversation I’ve ever witnessed," she whispered.
"It worked though."
"Barely." She glanced back at Svenja, who hadn’t moved. "I still think this is a terrible idea."
"In time we’ll be certain."
Instructor Scathach’s voice cut through the classroom chatter.
"Groups finalized?"
A chorus of affirmations rang out from various corners of the room. Many students had formed groups, save for some who hadn’t completed.
"Good. Next class, we enter into the alternate plane. Come prepared. Bring water, light rations, and essentials you’d take into hostile territory."
"Dismissed."
The scrape of chairs filled the hall as students stood and gathered their things. Conversations erupted immediately, everyone speculating about what the summoning planes would look like, what dangers they’d face, whether anyone would actually die.
Altair picked his notebook slowly. Beside him, Ryka was already organizing her materials perfectly
"You think Finn will be awake by then?" she asked.
"Nah, I doubt"
She nodded, resigned to that reality. "No one would want to miss this."
"Most of all Finn, I’ll give him the details though, probably take a picture or two if I can."
Ryka smiled slightly at that, then stood and slung her bag over her shoulder. "I’m heading to the library. Want to research more on summoning planes before we actually step into one."
"Smart." Altair said giving a thumbs up
"You coming?"
"Can’t, I have something else to do" he answered, heading for the front door.
"Okay, good luck" she turned to the opposite direction.

The notification appeared in Altair’s vision as he left the hall. He read through quickly before closing the interface with a mental command.
The walk back took twenty minutes. He reached his room and dropped onto his bed. Finn’s side sat empty, too quiet without that sunrise energy.
Altair opened his interface again.
The familiar glow materialized, visible only to him. He navigated past the notifications and pulled up his full character template.

His mana pool was still low. Two hundred points meant summoning alone would still cost him a lot, He was lucky that the heroes were self sufficient to an extent, but what happened when they eventually ran out.
He was about to close the interface with that thought when, A new message overlaid the entire screen.

Altair sat up immediately.
King Arthur.
The name alone weighed enough to get Altair interested, and to know about him made Arthur Pendragon a Hero Altair respected alot. The kind of legend that didn’t just fight wars, but unified kingdoms.
Altair tapped [YES].
And the room began to fade away.
FFFFFFFFFFFF
Altair stood in a field under open sky. In the distance, a castle rose against the horizon. White stone towers and banners carrying a peculiar symbol, swayed in the wind.
Camelot.
"You accepted quickly."
A man said, standing ten steps before him. about six feet tall, completely armored in silver plate and a red cloak hung on his shoulders. He had a Knight’s sword sheathed at his side.
The man’s face was completely covered in a visor . But Altair could see his blue eyes staring warmly at him.
"King Arthur?" Altair asked.
"No, but I shall take you to him. Come"
