Star Gate-Chapter 1546: Turning Around (III)
Li Hao was unaware of the reactions on various sides, but he recalled that the Red Moon master had said he would put a bounty on the young man’s head after this encounter.
Thus, information about him must be circulating in the chaos. The sixth rank that’d gotten away might even bring news of him back home. Wherever Celestial Pole and the Pagoda King were might be where many powerhouses were focusing their attention on.
Those two were lightbulbs that lit up the darkness.
New Martial, Red Moon, and some powerhouses behind the scenes viewed them as bait and cast them accordingly. These two were New Martial low ranks and operated on their own in a rarely seen maneuver.
They presented themselves as a large target!
Other New Martial exalted emperors were mysterious and kept to themselves. These two were the only exception because they weren’t strong enough. It was also very likely that their movements had been exposed, placing them under a spotlight.
For the moment, the Silver Moon contingent had reached a bottleneck in their cultivation. Hence, Li Hao passed out the resources that Void had traded for him. There was a great deal of treasure that so many dark foundation crystals had fetched, and they were all useful to those below the exalted emperor level.
Li Hao hadn’t even heard of some of them before. There were ones that strengthened the physical body and mental strength. Some enhanced specific elemental attributes. Whatever it was, treasures abounded like cabbage by the side of the road.
They weren’t useful for raising cultivators to the exalted emperor level, but they were very useful to those beneath that level.
Silver Moon entered another period of fast-paced cultivation.
......
On the back of a large black dog.
There was a dip in Panther’s back—its chaos beast body increasingly resembled a dog these days. This was Panther’s doing. It’d taken possession of a cow, but now it looked more like a dog.
Some exalted emperors and non-exalted emperors stood within the dip, including the three new additions to their number.
It was only now that the trio was certain that the Exalted Hao Moon Emperor was the new king of Silver Moon that everyone had spoken of before. They found it incredible, but such was Li Hao’s identity and his extreme youth.
“Senior Celestial Pole!”
The man in question looked at Li Hao.
“If all is proceeding according to plan, where your primary body is is where all major worlds are looking at,” said Li Hao. “It won’t be that easy for our two sides to meet up.
“I might not have drawn attention from these premier existences prior to killing people, but now I’ve taken down Ming Hao and the others. The Red Moon master’s consciousness has given orders to kill me, so Red Moon will be paying a lot of attention to me now!”
It’d been a scuffle between low ranks before that did not involve mid ranks. The Red Moon master was aware that Li Hao could kill mid ranks now, drawing the conclusion that Silver Moon had given birth to a dao universe. A new dao universe was the equivalent of a seventh rank!
Under such circumstances, Red Moon would absolutely be willing to pay a higher price to prevent Li Hao from convening with reinforcements. They would no longer turn a blind eye to the young man’s movements.
Celestial Pole might be lazy, but he wasn’t an idiot. “That’s right. And the key is, my primary body may be rushing toward us, completely oblivious of the situation. He’ll have sped up after I became a second rank...
“It’s a given that there are eyes on my primary body!” His temples throbbed. “It’ll be hard to get away even if I want to run now!”
Celestial Pole was rather resigned. The situation was growing more complicated than he’d expected. It would be one thing if news didn’t leak about Li Hao killing that group of people. But now that he had, his head threatened to explode from it all.
A critical factor was that Li Hao was the strongest heavyweight in Silver Moon and could no longer borrow strength. The fifth rank corpse had also been consumed—it would be very difficult for him to stand against mid ranks.
If he encountered high ranks, he might as well just offer his neck to them.
Li Hao didn’t say a word; a massive map appeared in front of him. Stars dotted it, lighting up the map. Red Moon Region lay to the north and Skyward Region lay to the south.
There were very few worlds in between them, just a massive patch of empty chaos. Red Moon and Skyward were located on the edges of their respective regions. In fact, Skyward was the midpoint between Red Moon and the rest of Skyward Region.
Skyward was usually not considered a threat since it lacked high rank exalted emperors.
Li Hao had never been to the west—iit was hailed Blazing Sun Region. The strongest faction in that region was Blazing Sun major world, said to be another eighth rank world. It rarely interacted with the northern and southern regions.
The east was named Dragon Region and was monster spirit territory. It was said that there was a major world that belonged to dragons there, as well as some major worlds helmed by other monster spirits. They were all gathered in the east; monster spirits were not weaklings in the chaos.
Quite a few chaos beasts congregated in the eastern region as well. They were of the same origin as monster spirits and exceedingly strong.
Such was the layout of power in this part of the chaos.
There was a blank space in between each region—an artificially created separator. Almost no worlds could be found within this area, unless it was newly born minor worlds.
Major worlds would not locate themselves in the separators.
“This is Red Moon major world!” Li Hao tapped a glowing dot. It emanated a red hue.
“We’re here!” The young man tapped another point exceedingly close, almost next to the first dot.
“Your primary body is here!” Li Hao identified another spot based on feedback from Celestial Pole’s replica. It was south of them, not too far away. In fact, it was very, very close.
“Must we meet up?” Yuan Shuo suddenly asked. “We don’t have the ability to participate in this kind of battle yet—this is a war between exalted emperors, one that involves high ranks. I’m not saying that we should sit by and watch someone die, but that New Martial should have their own plans at the ready.
“It might not be a good idea for us to brashly contact them! I say this even with Senior Celestial Pole’s replica being here. Our most critical concern at the moment is self-preservation!”
Not only was self-preservation hard enough, but Li Hao seemed to be hellbent on contacting New Martial. That was not good!
It was too dangerous.
Li Hao had killed a group of powerhouses and a sixth rank had fled from the scene. After they themselves had run for the hills a bit, they were out of enemy range. The chaos was extremely vast; they would be able to buy Silver Moon some time to develop if they holed up somewhere for a while.
The young man had brought back a lot of resources; all Silver Moon citizens were furiously cultivating. The two masters of dao had a slight chance to enter third rank, to say nothing of everyone else. What the people cultivated served to benefit the masters of dao as well.
Continuing on to fourth rank would be too hard, of course.
“My thoughts are that we should keep a lower profile for now,” Yuan Shuo said. “Senior Celestial Pole’s primary body and others will naturally be protected by New Martial. We can’t undertake plans of action that exceed our range of ability.”
“That’s what I think so too.” Celestial Pole himself nodded as well. “Greater trouble is coming for us now! I recommend not convening with them if we can help it! I only need to avoid my primary body—my primary body isn’t an idiot either. He’ll understand that we’re doing this for a reason and avoid us too!”
He looked at Li Hao with an emotional sigh. “We don’t actually have to pay any attention to my primary body.”
Li Hao was such a righteous person!
“Senior, if I may be so bold as to ask, does your primary body understand the dao of extreme yang?” the young man couldn’t help but laugh.
Celestial Pole blinked, then shook his head. “No.” That thing is so complicated, how would I know?
“Are there many who understand yin and yang in New Martial?”
“Not that many... some, of course, especially the dao of extreme yin. Almost all of those who died once are aware of it,” Celestial Pole explained. “Many in New Martial died once in battle and were revived when the Human King reversed yin and yang...”
“So the senior didn’t fall in battle?”
“......” Celestial Pole looked at the sky. Guess!
“How about the Pagoda King?”
Celestial Pole looked at the sky again. Guess!
Li Hao laughed and thought for a moment. “How about other exalted emperors? Did a lot of them die in battle?”
“Of course.”
“Has the supreme died in battle before?”
“Yep.”
“I don’t necessarily need to meet the supreme, but I’d like to meet someone who understands the path of yin and yang. It’d be best if they knew the dao of extreme yin!”
He didn’t have to go look for Celestial Pole. It was just that New Martial was the world that understood the yin and yang daos the most at present. The young man needed to comprehend a bit of extreme yin to combine it with his extreme yang. When yin and yang were one, he would be able to enter fourth rank then.
Otherwise, he could only switch daos after reaching great perfection of third rank.
What could he switch to?
Stillness and revitalization?
The key was, he understood the first part, but the second... not even Void had a good idea of it.
Did Li Hao have any other choices apart from this one? The five elements, perhaps?
But that didn’t meet his expectations.
Thus, convening with the New Martial delegates was the best option at this point in time. Hopefully, he would come to a new understanding about the great dao after doing so.
Yuan Shuo seemed to understand his disciple’s thoughts and furrowed his brows. Since it had to do with Li Hao’s breakthroughs, they had to undertake it even if it was dangerous. Silver Moon’s confidence and trump cards stemmed from Li Hao.
“We need to split up!” he said after some thought. “One group will be the bait for those pursuing us, the other will contact Senior Celestial Pole’s primary body from the shadows! Most people have their eyes on the senior and won’t easily change their attention...
“So I think we should use the dao universe as bait. As much temptation as Senior Celestial Pole and the others pose, it will not measure up to a dao universe. And now that the dao universe has been exposed as well, it doesn’t matter whether Red Moon shares news of that or not. It makes no difference whether it’s Red Moon or the entire universe that knows.
“We will rise from the abyss in this manner. That is the only way in which attention will be diverted from Senior Celestial Pole!”
“That’s right!” Gan Wuliang concurred after a beat. “It’s best that we do something as well, such as attacking a minor or mid world associated with Red Moon. We need to create a disturbance to further expose our dao universe!
“The marquis can secretly leave with Senior Celestial Pole’s replica in the uproar and find a way to convene with your primary body...”
Silver Moon would be in very dangerous straits then, but since Li Hao had his reasons for meeting up with New Martial, then there was nothing anyone would say in protest.
