Star Odyssey-Chapter 3577: Resurrection
Chapter 3577: Resurrection
Lu Yin felt refreshed and invigorated as he slowly descended back to Boundless.
The Origin Progenitor laughed heartily. "Pillar, congratulations on finding a new path!"
Lu Yin replied, "If I hadn't learned the Nine Clones Secret Technique before, it would have been impossible to take this path."
The Origin Progenitor sighed in admiration. "This is your path, and only you can walk it. There is a preordained order to the grand scheme of things."
Lu Yin murmured, "A preordained order? Am I also a part of that order?"
The Origin Progenitor chuckled. "Who knows? Don't overthink it."
Lu Yin looked at the Origin Progenitor in surprise. "Senior, have you split the Nine Heavens as well?"
The old man replied indifferently, "It didn’t affect my cultivation much. Of those who are capable of mastering the Nine Heavens Transformation, very few would be significantly affected, but you are one of them. As for another, I can’t really think of anyone... It’s possible that Old Mu would be affected as well."
"Does my master also cultivate a unique power?" Lu Yin was curious about this.
The Origin Progenitor shook his head. "I'm not sure about that, but I do know that Old Mu’s cultivation is far from simple. Unfortunately, he was a step too late. His megaverse gave rise to an Immortal before him. If not for that, he would have certainly reached the Immortal realm"
"But if that had happened, we would have never met him. Whether he became an Immortal or not makes no difference to us, as he wouldn’t have been able to help us anyway."
Lu Yin’s eyes swept across Boundless. "I need to split the Nine Heavens for as many of them as possible."
The Origin Progenitor’s expression turned grim. It was rare for him to show such seriousness. "Splitting apart the Nine Heavens and allowing them to cultivate the Nine Heavens Transformation will enhance everyone’s combat power yet again. If we truly end up in a life-or-death battle with the Spirit Nidus, even if we all die, we will at least tear a hole through their megaverse."
...
While Lu Yin had been focused on splitting the Nine Heavens, in a remote corner of the Spirit Nidus, Meng Sang emerged from the void. Shortly after that, True God also appeared. "True God’s Eternal Decree."
As his words fell, an immortal seed appeared in his palm. This one was far larger than the ones that he had used to resurrect Undying God and the other six. This seed was nearly ten times larger, as it was True God’s Eternal Decree, rather than a normal immortal seed.
Yong Heng stared at the seed with a hint of helplessness. "Resurrecting you will render my Eternal Decree completely useless. Fortunately, I was able to rebuild my cultivation with a spirit seed, which means that I can retrain it. If not for that, this would not be worth it at all."
The seed then started to slowly shrink, becoming nearly ten times smaller. When True God released the seed, a figure gradually took form in front of him. It was Feng Bo.
The man glanced around in confusion before finally looking at True God. "I... I didn’t die?"
True God clasped his hands behind his back. "You did, but I paid a steep price to bring you back."
Feng Bo was frozen in place, stunned by what he had just heard. After a moment, his face twisted and grew fierce. Hatred and resentment filled his eyes. "It was Lu Yin! He killed me twice!"
During the battle at the Immemorial Citadel, True God had used his Eternal Decree to resurrect six powerful experts: Shaman God, Feng Bo, Undying God, Xu Jin, Di Qiong, and Corpse God. At first, bringing the six back had been enough for the Aeternals to overpower the Immemorial Citadel, but when Boundless had arrived with another host of experts, True God had been forced to use the six resurrected beings to arrange Ceaseless Impetus, and that sourcebox array had then allowed him to escape.
Lu Yin had had a breakthrough and given chase, crushing the immortal seeds of the resurrected experts, which had ensured that they could never be resurrected again.
They really had died; it was impossible to resurrect Feng Bo and the others.
However, True God had chosen to sacrifice his Eternal Decree in order to grant Feng Bo another chance at life. This opportunity could have been used on any expert who had left behind an immortal seed, but ultimately, he had chosen Feng Bo.
The man’s hatred and desire to kill Lu Yin were infinite.
Meng Sang quietly watched, his eyes flickering. The fact that the dead could be resurrected... What kind of techniques have appeared in the Tianyuan Megaverse?
"Where are we?" Feng Bo asked.
A smile slowly touched True God’s lips. "The Spirit Nidus."
Feng Bo’s eyes narrowed. "We’re in the Spirit Nidus? I can’t stay here. If I’m discovered, I’m as good as dead."
True God replied, "Don't worry. I can’t afford to be discovered either."
"What does that mean?" Feng Bo stared at True God. He had not forgotten about how he had been deceived by Yong Heng in the past. Feng Bo had first been killed by Lu Yin in the Mirari Realm, and he had realized the truth after hearing Hongyan Mavis’s comment. "Humanity may have Aeternus as its arch-enemy, but Aeternus also needs humanity as their arch-enemy."
Would Aeternus truly annihilate or enslave humanity? Hongyan Mavis’s words had been an awakening for Feng Bo. From the very beginning, he had been deceived by True God, which had caused Feng Bo to come to the Tianyuan Megaverse in the first place. Everything that he had once hoped to attain had been nothing more than an illusion. He had been striving for an impossible dream.
However, even if he had come to realize the truth, he still did not dare oppose True God. Feng Bo had been resurrected, so until he was able to free himself from the Eternal Decree, he had no choice but to obey True God.
True God also pulled out an Iceheart from his cosmic ring and casually shattered it. An unconscious person fell out.
This person had long red hair and was incredibly beautiful. It was none other than Arrow God.
During the battle at the Immemorial Citadel, Arrow God had been struck down when Lu Yin’s black dirt spears had rained down. However, she had not died at that time. True God had taken her with him when he escaped, but due to her severe injuries, she had been able to offer little help. True God had thus sealed her within an Iceheart and only at this moment did he release her.
Feng Bo did not recognize Arrow God. He had stayed in the Mirari Realm ever since the destruction of the Second Mainland and the fall of the Mavis family’s Divine Tree. He had not only gone there to keep Hongyan Mavis imprisoned, but also to stay hidden.
Arrow God had joined Aeternus after that time period.
Arrow God slowly regained consciousness. Her body still bore wounds from where she had been pierced through during the battle at the Immemorial Citadel.
As she opened her eyes, the still groggy Arrow God saw True God, as well as Meng Sang and Feng Bo. She felt utterly bewildered. "Who are you?"
True God calmly replied. "We are in a new place. I will explain everything that has happened..."
Soon, Arrow God and Feng Bo were struggling to recover from their shock.
They had never imagined that so much would have happened after the battle at the Immemorial Citadel, let alone that it should have been utterly impossible to roll back time. Lu Yin had accomplished too much that defied the imagination.
He had even dared to invade the Spirit Nidus, and he had actually forced an entire megaverse into a stunned silence.
Arrow God coughed up blood. "Thank you, my lord, for saving my life."
True God looked at her. "I will ensure that you both advance to the Origin realm as soon as possible. Sequence powerhouses possess little significance in this megaverse."
"Thank you, my lord."
"Thank you, my lord."
True God continued, "By the way, there is someone else I’d like to introduce to you. Come out."
Meng Sang turned his head to look over at where a figure emerged from the darkness. Upon seeing who had appeared, his pupils shrank. "You?"
The newcomer gave True God a respectful bow. "My lord, it has been a very long time."
Neither Feng Bo nor Arrow God recognized the person.
True God smiled. "Aeternus had the Three Pillars and Six Skies. So far, only two of the Three Pillars have been revealed. This is the third. This is one of the Three Pillars."
Arrow God’s expression changed. One of the Three Pillars. This was her first time even hearing about this person.
"A long, long time ago, I planted this person here in the Spirit Nidus. My Aeternus not only seeks to conquer the Tianyuan Megaverse, but also the Spirit Nidus." True God’s voice echoed across the universe. He had waited a very long time for this day. While many things had not gone according to his original plans, he could still return everything to its rightful course.
Neither the High Seraph nor Lu Yin could stop this from happening.
Not even Master Qing Cao could stop Yong Heng.
...
A massive stone gate rose up high into the universe. It marked the boundary of the Spirit Nidus. Beyond the gates lay the Aevum Inch.
Countless eyes were glued to a springboard standing out in the Aevum Inch. Judging by the time, they were due to arrive.
After several days passed, a battleship could be made out in the distance, and it swiftly landed on the springboard.
All the cultivators at the boundary bowed as one. "Greetings, Seraph Emperor Wu. Greetings, Seraph Jiu Xian."
"Greetings, Seraph Emperor Wu. Greetings, Seraph Jiu Xian."
"Greetings, Seraph Emperor Wu. Greetings, Seraph Jiu Xian..."
On the battleship’s deck, Emperor Wu maintained an indifferent expression, while Jiu Xian showed a hint of a smile. After a moment, the battleship took off again, soaring into the megaverse.
There were many Spirit Nidus cultivators inside the battleship, all hailing from many different factions.
Not one person had the courage to try to step onto the deck. All they could do was stare out at the stars from within the vessel. They knew that they had returned.
Among the returnees were powerful sequence powerhouses, as well as a few Ortusers.
After leaving the Aevum Inch, the first place the battleship needed to stop was the Ascendant Hall. Before that, no one aboard the ship was allowed to speak with anyone outside of the ship or share any information regarding the war in the Consciousness Megaverse.
However, such rules clearly did not apply to Emperor Wu.
A group of beast-form Spirit Rebirth cultivators from the Primal Beastland appeared in front of the battleship, and the moment Emperor Wu’s eyes landed on them, they all bowed in respect.
When Emperor Wu saw the beasts from the Primal Beastland, a cold light flickered in his eyes, and a surge of overwhelming pressure instantly erupted. novelbuddy.cσ๓
Everyone from the Primal Beastland was instantly forced down, immobilized. It was as if they were pressed down by the weight of the collapsing sky.
"Disciplining your subordinates the moment you return?" Jiu Xian teased.
Emperor Wu's expression fell. "What’s going on? Not a single Grand Mountain Lord is present."
A golden-winged creature flew out from among the prone Primal Beastland cultivators. It was smaller than Golden Roc, and their cry was filled with sorrow and resentment as they raced towards the battleship. "Primal Beastland Lord, you must avenge my father!"
Emperor Wu stared at the beast. "What happened to Golden Roc?"
"Father... my father’s fate is unknown."
At that moment, more of the beast-form cultivators moved closer. Little Threeheaded Fiend shouted, "Primal Beastland Lord, please avenge our ancestor! He has fallen in battle!"
"Primal Beastland Lord, the Grandverse Manor is lawless, and they have violated all of the rules! Their Third Boss has slaughtered our strongest warriors and stolen the title of Seraph! We beg you to destroy the Grandverse Manor!"
"We beg you, Primal Beastland Lord..."
Emperor Wu’s expression turned terrifyingly grim.
Jiu Xian stood next to him, listening with a bit of surprise. The Grandverse Manor? Taking the title of Seraph? Apparently, things have been quite busy while we were gone.
The battleship stopped moving. Emperor Wu listened in silence, and Jiu Xian's expression grew increasingly serious.
Such an organization had risen to power? And they were from the Tianyuan Megaverse?
Was it possible that these people were the reason why the vanguard of the invasion to that megaverse had been called off several decades earlier? If that were true, then how had the High Seraph known about Boundless's arrival in advance?
A single young man had rendered the entire Spirit Nidus speechless.
"Heh, Emperor Wu, it appears that you've miscalculated. There was an opening for a Seraph’s seat. Two, in fact. Unfortunately, your Primal Beastland didn’t get even one," Jiu Xian gloated with a smirk.
Emperor Wu’s eyes had turned ice-cold. While he was aggressive and arrogant, he was no fool. Even he was wary after hearing about all that Lu Yin had accomplished. Clearly, the young man was not a simple opponent.
"Did Emperor Slayer stir up trouble again?" Emperor Wu could not erase the nervousness that had sprouted in his heart. He could not forget that Emperor Slayer had mentioned leaving behind a “gift.”
The golden-winged creature replied, "Emperor Slayer also fought at the Umbral Deep, but Seraph Lu drove him away. He hasn’t had the courage to show his face again after that."
