Starforce Warriors-Chapter 588: Invincible Summoning
Chapter 588: Invincible Summoning
The Yiggs coalition's high-ranking officers had been alerted long ago, and all of them had been dispatched. However, at this moment, not a single person dared to step forward to accept Li Xiaofei’s challenge.
The mountain-like figure stood in the sky like an insurmountable wall. He guarded the base city behind him like the Great Wall.
Li Donglou and Chu Yuncheng glanced at each other and saw unrestrained excitement and wild joy in each other’s eyes. They had already forgotten the last time they had seen such expressions on each other’s faces.
At the same time, countless warriors and martial artists of Great Xia had witnessed the entire process from the city walls. Recorded footage of the battle had also begun to broadcast throughout the city. The severed head of the Flame Emperor and the corpse of Phil Johnson were on full display.
The deaths of these two globally renowned Great Saints had sent the people of Great Xia into a frenzy of fiery fervor. The light of hope had finally shone upon the city of Xiajing. In the sky, the oppressive clouds that had lingered for half a year had been swept away by the fierce battle between the two powerhouses, revealing an azure sky that bathed the land in sunlight.
At that moment, light returned to the world. Li Xiaofei looked across the battlefield, but not a single Yiggs expert dared to meet his eyes. The strength of one man had terrified them beyond comprehension. Yet, Li Xiaofei was not satisfied. His inner qi and physical strength had been severely depleted after consecutive battles against two Great Saints.
But this was a victory achieved solely through his true strength, and had not relied on his ultimate trump cards. He was searching for the strongest among the Yiggs. He intended to locate all the Great Saints of the Yiggs faction and annihilate them all in a single decisive strike with the mysterious green energy from the back of his head. That was his ultimate goal.
At that moment, a golden-haired youth surrounded by a group of Yiggs experts several kilometers away caught his attention. He was surprised to see the youth smiling. The boy’s gaze met his. A faint smile, tinged with the condescension of a god gazing down upon the humble mortal world, graced the radiant face under the golden bangs.
Sensing Li Xiaofei’s attention, the boy smiled back at him. His golden pupils were detached and fragmented, like a scarred and pockmarked moon. The youth stepped out from the crowd of Western powerhouses and walked through the air.
“Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Richard Tyssen,” the golden-haired youth said with a smile. “I am the one who will soon kill you.”
Li Xiaofei tilted his head slightly, as he examined the youth before him.
The boy’s strength is unimpressive. The cultivation level he displayed is that of an ordinary Saint who’s far from reaching the realm of a Great Saint. So, what gave him the courage to step forward and challenge me?
Damn it.
Li Xiaofei detested pretentious show-offs the most. So he struck without a single word of wasted chatter. freewёbnoνel.com
Whoosh!
A punch shot out.
“How crude and barbaric, as expected of an Eastern brute,” Richard Tyssen murmured, shaking his head slightly. His lips parted, forming words as if he were chanting a spell.
Space rippled like gentle waves on water before him. A colossal creature with crimson skin, a moth-like head, six arms, and silver-white skeletal wings from within the rippling space. The creature threw its head back and let out a deafening roar. The sound waves rippled outward like a violent storm surge, instantly dissipating the force of Li Xiaofei's punch into nothingness.
Even Li Xiaofei himself was hurled three or four miles away by the impact, as he swayed unsteadily in midair. Cracks began to form on his muscular frame like a sun-scorched riverbed. But those cracks healed completely in mere moments.
This sight left everyone utterly stunned.
"This kind of power... is it extraterrestrial energy?"
Li Donglou and Chu Yuncheng were shocked beyond words. They could feel an energy far surpassing the energy tides of Earth from the moth-headed, skeletal-winged monstrosity.
Could it be that the Yiggs have truly established communication with extraterrestrial deities or demons? Who exactly is this golden-haired youth named Richard Tyssen?
To summon an otherworldly deity or demon directly—what kind of existence could achieve such a feat?
The glimmer of hope that had just been kindled suddenly dimmed as darkness loomed.
“Shriek!” The moth-headed, skeletal-winged monster let out another roar.
The sound was filled with merciless mockery of all life, mingled with an insatiable hunger for slaughter and consumption. The newly unleashed sound waves caused the clouds to swirl chaotically, as if the heavens themselves were on the verge of being torn apart.
This horrifying energy, so far removed from anything of the human realm, stirred an overwhelming despair in all who witnessed it. Li Xiaofei’s body was flung several kilometers through the air again before he barely managed to stabilize himself. Fresh wounds marred his body, only to heal rapidly once more.
"Can you feel it?" Richard Tyssen spread his arms wide, a look of intoxicated reverence on his face as he grinned. "This is true power."
He effortlessly rose into the air. He landed on the forehead of the moth-headed, skeletal-winged monster and declared, "The power of summoning."
Richard Tyssen gazed down at Li Xiaofei with an air of superiority. "What does it matter if you are a once-in-a-generation genius? What does it matter if you trained tirelessly for a century? The so-called ancient martial arts of Great Xia are nothing but a delusional hope conjured by fools. Even after a thousand years of tempering, it cannot reach true strength. Yet, I can achieve it in an instant with a mere summon."
He seemed like he had the entire world beneath his feet. The morale of the Yiggs coalition, which had been on the verge of collapse, surged with a tidal wave of cheers in response to Richard Tyssen’s god-like proclamation.
But a peculiar expression appeared on Li Xiaofei’s face.
"You really think that summoning a piece of trash like this makes you invincible?" He asked mockingly.
He blurred as he reappeared at his original position.
"Trash?" Richard Tyssen froze momentarily, then erupted into laughter. "You dare call the great Demon God Hewmos trash? Do you even realize what you’re saying?"
"Not trash?" Li Xiaofei replied indifferently. "Things like this—I could summon a whole pile of them with just a snap of my fingers."
“Huh?” Richard Tyssen burst into laughter.
His laugh was exaggerated, loud, and uncontrollable. By the end, he was clutching his stomach, nearly crying from amusement.
“You... haha, you’re ridiculously adorable in your stupidity.” Holding his belly, Richard Tyssen laughed maniacally. “Honestly, I almost feel bad letting Lord Hewmos tear you apart and devour you. Summon a pile of them? Then go ahead and summon them now! Haha, if you can summon even one, I’ll call you my master and lick your shoe-”
Before he could finish..
Snap.
Li Xiaofei snapped his fingers and the air behind him began to ripple. Moments later, a creature nearly identical to Hewmos, a moth-headed, skeletal-winged monster, emerged from the ripples.
Richard Tyssen froze as his laughter died in his throat. His mouth hung agape like a hole that couldn’t close. But Li Xiaofei’s performance wasn’t over. Because, in the next moment, a second creature appeared. Then a third. Then a fourth...
In the blink of an eye, Li Xiaofei was surrounded by countless moth-headed, skeletal-winged monsters, their eerie forms standing in a dense formation.
“Do you believe me now?” Li Xiaofei tilted his head slightly, a mocking smirk tugging at the corner of his lips.
Across from him, Richard Tyssen was completely petrified.
