Starting as a Class Five Mutant-Chapter 580
Chapter 580 - 580
Even as she blazed with energy, radiating intense heat in her Binary mode, it was no use.
Captain Marvel Carol Danvers tried desperately to absorb the energy from the spears of light that pierced her.
But the moment she tried, she failed.
These spears felt as real as solid matter. Their density was unimaginable—completely immune to her absorption. No matter how hard she tried, she couldn't drain even a flicker of power.
Worse yet, a chilling realization struck her:
If she had managed to absorb any of that energy... it might've torn her body apart.
Shaken, Carol quickly tried a different method.
In Binary mode, she could control the entire electromagnetic spectrum—infrared, ultraviolet, X-rays, and more.
But the next second, she froze.
She couldn't manipulate anything. It was as if her connection to the electromagnetic spectrum had been severed entirely.
"What... what is this...?"
Carol stared in disbelief.
At the same time, Black Panther and the others were also stunned.
Even if most of them didn't have a particularly good impression of the arrogant and brash Carol Danvers, no one could deny how powerful she was. Among them, she was one of the strongest by far.
And now, that same powerhouse... was pinned to the ground like an insect, unable to resist in the slightest?
They couldn't believe what they were seeing.
What kind of power is this?
One by one, they lifted their heads with difficulty, staring up at the white-robed figure floating above—filled with awe and shock.
Was this all his doing?
Was this man really a Creator God?
It seemed too absurd to be true.
But as they stared, Syd remained expressionless, unmoved by any of it.
Through his telepathic powers, he could clearly sense the storm of disbelief and denial in Carol's mind.
It almost made him want to laugh.
How naive.
Those spears may have looked small—but the energy they contained was beyond imagination. And with his absolute control, breaking free was impossible for a mortal like her.
As for manipulating the electromagnetic spectrum?
How ridiculous.
Even though Syd had not yet formally become the Creator God of this parallel universe, within the range of his perception, all sources of light, heat, and energy were already under his domain.
Not even beings like Death could take that control from him.
It was his divine authority.
Carol trying to manipulate it in front of him... was just laughable.
Hovering above them, Syd's eyes stayed cold as he looked down at Carol.
Sensing imminent death, a wave of terror surged in Carol's heart.
And for the first time, she truly realized—this being might actually be a Creator God. Someone she should never have provoked.
She braced herself for the end.
But instead of striking, Syd simply looked away.
As if she was no more than a pebble on the roadside, a gnat buzzing in the air—not even worth a glance.
That indifference struck Carol harder than any blow. Her face flushed red with humiliation.
She would've preferred he killed her—anything was better than this condescension.
She was Earth's first Avenger. A warrior feared across the stars. A symbol of power and justice.
And in his eyes, she was nothing?
Her heart twisted in fury and frustration.
But Syd paid her no mind.
Instead, his gaze turned to the others below—to Black Panther and the stunned crowd.
Then, he looked directly at Thor, Valkyrie, and the last remaining Asgardian soldiers.
His voice echoed, deep and resonant, like a cosmic law:
"Come with me. We're returning to Asgard."
The words stunned everyone.
Valkyrie and the remaining Asgardians blinked in disbelief.
Even Black Panther and the others looked utterly confused.
"Return to Asgard? What does he mean?"
Wasn't Asgard destroyed?
They didn't understand what this so-called Creator God meant.
But those who had been to the other universe—Cap and his team—instantly caught on.
Thor's eyes lit up with a glimmer of joy.
Yes, Hulk's snap had brought many people back.
But not his family.
Not his father, Odin.
Not his mother.
Not Loki.
And not Asgard.
He had nothing left.
So when he heard Syd's words, he couldn't help but feel joy spark inside him.
This Creator God—his brother—wanted to go with him?
"Baldr... you're really my brother?" Thor whispered, trembling with joy.
Ever since visiting that alternate universe, he'd been jealous.
Jealous of that version of himself—who had a brother like Baldr.
And now...
Was this Baldr truly accepting him? Acknowledging him?
Did he finally... have family again?
Thor's eyes welled up with tears.
He wasn't alone anymore.
Above them—
Syd watched as Thor's face shifted through sorrow and joy. His expression twitched slightly.
A few seconds passed, and as Thor remained caught in his emotions, Syd prepared to speak.
But then Thor finally composed himself.
"...Brother," he said solemnly, "Asgard is gone. You'll have to come with me to our new home."
Before Syd could reply, the crowd around them erupted in shock.
"Brother?!"
"What did he just say?"
"Did we hear that right?!"
Eyes darted between Thor and the white figure in the sky.
Thor just called him... brother?
The shock rippled across the crowd like a tidal wave.
Even Valkyrie and the remaining Asgardians were dumbfounded.
"His Highness Thor... what is he saying?"
"Another brother? But Loki is gone..."
"When did Odin have another son?!"
They were all stunned and confused.
Meanwhile, Syd remained calm.
Hearing Thor's somber words, he gave the God of Thunder a faint glance.
And then—his voice echoed once more, like a cosmic truth:
"If Asgard is gone... then I will create a new one."
Everyone froze.
Black Panther and the others blinked in confusion.
Create a new Asgard?
What did he mean?
Was he going to designate some land on Earth and call it "New Asgard"?
That was the only thing they could imagine.
Even Valkyrie and the surviving Asgardians thought that was what he meant.
They didn't even consider the other possibility.
Because it was simply... unthinkable.
But Thor—his heart skipped a beat.
Could it be...?
Just as that terrifying thought crossed his mind, Syd raised his hand.
With a wave, space shimmered like rippling water.
A massive, circular portal opened in the air.
It led directly to the remains of the destroyed Asgard.
"Let's go," Syd said calmly.
And with that, he floated toward the portal and entered.
