Staying Alive Cautiously in the Celestial Realm and Becoming the Strongest-Chapter 1178: True Proof (54)
Chapter 1178: Chapter 1178: True Proof (54)
"Do you know who this person is?"
Wang Chen naturally didn’t know the specific background of the person An Ruyi was referring to. He just knew the person’s name was Han Haoxuan and that he seemed very arrogant—a probable top-tier second-generation elite in the Magic Capital.
"His name is Han Haoxuan..."
An Ruyi answered herself, "The Young Master of the Han Family, the first heir of the Han Group, and one of the three elites in Huhai."
The Han Group was a local enterprise in Huhai, with scale and strength surpassing the Haicheng Group, and the two were directly competing in several fields.
Although their rivalry hadn’t escalated to an all-out war, it had been going on for quite some time.
A year ago, Han Haoxuan happened to meet Xie Yunyao and began a relentless pursuit of her, which annoyed Xie Yunyao to no end, forcing her to go to Yi City to study in order to escape his harassment.
Han Haoxuan also stirred up some trouble and was sent abroad by the Han Family to lay low.
No one expected him to return so soon.
"This guy is definitely bad news."
An Ruyi lowered her voice and said, "He’s ruthless and unscrupulous. Anyone he targets meets a terrible fate. I’m worried he might cause trouble for you, so you’d better head back to Yi City early."
Wang Chen nodded, "Thank you. I’ll head back to Yi City tomorrow."
An Ruyi’s warning was evidently well-intentioned, and Wang Chen could clearly see how hard it would be to deal with this Han Haoxuan.
Although Wang Chen wasn’t afraid, he saw no reason to get entangled in unnecessary trouble.
After sitting for another half hour, feeling he’d stayed long enough, he found Xie Yunyao. "I’ve got a train early tomorrow morning, so I’ll need to head back. Once again, happy birthday."
Xie Yunyao seemed a bit reluctant, "It’s still early."
Beside them, Chang Qian chuckled, "He already said he has to catch the train in the morning. It’s not like he won’t come back to Yi City. Can’t whatever you have to say wait until later?"
Embarrassed by her mother’s words, Xie Yunyao’s cheeks flushed red and she refrained from asking Wang Chen to stay.
As Wang Chen left through the front door, he keenly sensed a sinister gaze locked onto him!
Without betraying any reaction, he walked straight out, all the way to the road outside the villa district, intending to hail a cab back to the hotel.
He had only waited briefly when the roar of an engine pierced through the air—a domineering and ostentatious Lamborghini supercar screeched to a halt right in front of him.
The window rolled down, revealing a head with dyed white hair poking out: "Your name’s Wang Chen, right?"
The driver was none other than Han Haoxuan!
Reeking of alcohol and with a particularly confrontational tone, he sneered, "A country bumpkin from Yi City?"
Wang Chen responded calmly, "Is there something you need?"
"I just want to tell you something..."
Han Haoxuan’s stare was as predatory as a wolf eyeing its prey. "Xie Yunyao is mine—if you dare get close to her again, don’t blame me for being ruthless!"
"Think carefully about your family, your mom and dad. If you enjoy being an orphan, I’ll gladly make that happen for you!"
Wang Chen remained silent for a moment, lowering his gaze before quietly replying, "Got it."
"Good to see you came to your senses."
Han Haoxuan smirked smugly, spat a mouthful of drunken phlegm in Wang Chen’s direction, and snarled, "Trash!"
The next moment, he floored the accelerator, and the Lamborghini shot forward like a rocket.
Strangely, the spit Han Haoxuan aimed at Wang Chen never landed on him. Instead, just inches from Wang Chen, it inexplicably veered off course and darted toward the speeding supercar like an arrow.
On the wide road, Han Haoxuan continued driving his Lamborghini at increasingly reckless speeds, quickly reaching over a hundred miles per hour.
The roaring engine and his domineering attitude forced other cars ahead to swerve out of the way.
Fuming with rage inside, Han Haoxuan slammed the horn repeatedly as if venting his frustration. Spotting a red light up ahead, he suddenly jerked the steering wheel, veering onto the right lane and heading up a flyover.
Just then, the Lamborghini’s front-right tire abruptly rolled over a patch of thick, viscous phlegm. The unstoppable supercar instantly lost control and crashed heavily into the guardrail of the flyover.
BANG!
Han Haoxuan didn’t even have time to react before his head slammed painfully into the steering wheel, knocking him unconscious.
Though all the airbags had deployed within the Lamborghini, the out-of-control vehicle continued to overturn past the guardrail, plummeting into the greenery beneath the bridge.
BOOM!
Flames suddenly erupted from the wreckage of the car.
The heat of the fire roused Han Haoxuan from unconsciousness. Instinctively, he tried to crawl out of the overturned vehicle but found himself trapped by the twisted car frame.
"AHHH—"
He issued a blood-curdling scream as he watched the encroaching flames consume him!
Meanwhile, Wang Chen waited outside Haicheng Rong Mansion for several minutes before finally hailing a passing cab.
As the taxi drove past the scene of the crash on the flyover, Wang Chen noticed several emergency vehicles parked along the roadside, crowds gathering, and thick smoke billowing skyward. Sirens wailed, growing louder as they approached.
"Looks like there’s been an accident," the taxi driver muttered. "Wonder who’s so unlucky."
Wang Chen gazed out of the car window, his expression indifferent.
He could’ve answered the driver’s question easily.
The Lamborghini engulfed in flames under the flyover was entirely Wang Chen’s doing!
Dragons have reverse scales, and those who touch them face certain death. Wang Chen’s family was his reverse scale in this lifetime.
If Han Haoxuan had merely threatened Wang Chen, he wouldn’t have taken it seriously unless he was directly provoked.
But Han Haoxuan had foolishly threatened Wang Chen’s family. How could Wang Chen tolerate that?
Moreover, Wang Chen could tell that Han Haoxuan wasn’t bluffing. This privileged young master had the capability to act on his threats!
That’s why Wang Chen decided to send him on his way.
This was the price one paid for courting disaster!
Back at the hotel, as Wang Chen finished his shower, his phone rang—it was Xie Yunyao.
"Wang Chen, where are you right now?"
"I’m at the hotel. What’s up?" Wang Chen replied.
"Oh, nothing... nothing at all," Xie Yunyao said hastily before abruptly hanging up.
Wang Chen smiled faintly.
The next morning, just as dawn broke, his room door was knocked on forcefully.
Wang Chen got up and opened it to find two police officers standing there, accompanied by a hotel staff member.
He frowned slightly, "What’s going on?"
"Are you Wang Chen?"
One of the officers asked sternly, "Last night, you attended a birthday party at Haicheng Rong Mansion, is that right?"
Wang Chen nodded, "Yes, come in and let’s talk."
After entering the room, one officer continued questioning him, "When you left, did you talk with someone driving a Lamborghini at the entrance of the complex?"
"What exactly did you two say?"
