Step Aside, My CEO Ex-Husband!-Chapter 869 - 870: Not Auntie, but Mommy!
Lin Xiaoting was startled, the boy must be missing Tian Xingyun.
Tian Xingyun had taken care of him for over a year, so it’s normal for him to miss her.
Once she’s done with this busy period, she’ll take him to see Tian Xingyun.
Sitting on the couch, she pulled Little He’en onto her lap and asked, "Baby En, do you miss Xingyun’s Mom?"
"Xingyun’s Mom." He En nodded.
"Do you miss your mom?" Lin Xiaoting regretted asking as soon as the words left her mouth; Little He’en didn’t even know who his mom was.
"Mom?" He En blinked at Lin Xiaoting.
"Yes, do you miss your mom?"
"Mom." He En called her, thinking that the "mom" Lin Xiaoting was referring to was her.
Children’s memories aren’t very good; he only remembered what adults taught him to call.
He could only call out the title; he couldn’t yet recall who was mom and who was aunt.
"Really missing your mom, huh? Auntie will take you to see her another day." Lin Xiaoting sadly reached out to ruffle Little He’en’s hair.
"Mom, Auntie?" He En was confused. Should he call her mom or aunt?
After He Jun finished soaking his feet, he played with the child in the living room while Lin Xiaoting went back to her room for a shower.
"Dad, is Aunt Ting mom?" He En sat by his dad, holding onto his dad’s arm and asked.
Hearing his son call like that made He Jun realize a significant issue.
His son needed a mom; otherwise, who would have given birth to him?
He didn’t want others to mock his son for being a child without a mom; that wouldn’t be good for his son’s growth.
If Song Yi were the child’s mom, that would be normal.
But Song Yi disliked him and their son, so she definitely wouldn’t want the child to call her mom or for others to know she had a child.
He Jun picked up his son, stood him on his thighs, and softly said, "Not Aunt Ting, it’s mom! Say mom, okay?"
He would rather his son call Lin Xiaoting mom than call Song Yi mom.
Song Yi hated both of them, and whether the kid called her mom or not didn’t matter to her.
She had tried several times to abort the child; such a heartless woman doesn’t deserve to be a mom!
"Is mom?" He En blinked his big eyes, confused, at his dad.
"Yes, it’s mom!" He Jun assured his son.
"Mom!"
"That’s right." He Jun smiled happily.
When Lin Xiaoting came out of the shower and saw He Jun teaching He En to call her mom, she thought he must still love Song Yi.
Even though Song Yi was in a coma, he didn’t forget to teach the child to call her mom.
As she turned to go back to her room, He Jun spotted her.
"Lin Xiaoting, come here!"
"What’s up?" Lin Xiaoting turned to look at him but didn’t go over.
"Come here."
"Oh." Lin Xiaoting walked over and sat in the seat next to him.
"Mom." He En smiled at Lin Xiaoting, calling her mom.
"You should take the child to see Song Yi someday; he’s always asking for mom."
"Hmm." He Jun’s face darkened. Is this woman really that dense?
His son called her mom, and yet she thought of Song Yi!
What on earth was she thinking!
"Regarding He En’s matter, do you plan to keep it a secret or make it public?" Lin Xiaoting cautiously asked, knowing that his relationship with Song Yi was sensitive.
If they revealed the existence of the child, they would have to disclose who the child’s mom was.
The relationship between him, Song Yi, and Huo Shaohua was quite complex.
If they went public, it would bring about many unexpected troubles.
"There’s no need to hide it from my circle of friends; they’ll find out sooner or later. As for everyone else, just let it happen naturally, no need to deliberately make it public." He Jun thought for a few seconds before answering her; he didn’t want his son to be labeled as an illegitimate child.
