Strange Worlds-Chapter 433: Accepting Mayor Hall’s Request
Mayor Hall still looked as calm as before. He only glanced at the middle aged man who appeared and asked, "If it’s not them, do you have anyone else you want to recommend?"
The middle aged man shook his head.
The few rank 9 magic warriors aside from Mayor Hall in Central Magic City were not exactly that good. Even if they have some abilities, but they didn’t care too much about the overall situation of other magic warriors.
Mayor Hall definitely couldn’t trust them.
Some of them even supported the ghost masters silently.
They knew that ghost masters were making trouble because their strength came from the ghosts that basically affected the ordinary people around them. And they also knew that they would not be able to last long when they relied on the ghosts’ power.
But they still did it.
Why?
Mayor Hall himself didn’t know and had no interest to find out. What was in the mind of these people were not his business at all.
"....No," the middle aged man replied in a low voice.
There was truly no one.
Mayor Hall nodded, not surprised by the middle aged man’s answer. He only looked outside and hoped that what he did today would not be for naught.
...
Outside, Silas and Aya went to the residences area that Mayor Hall had prepared for them. Everything here was really luxurious and there were many things that they could not find outside easily. If other people were to see their treatment, it was possible that their eyes would turn green in envy.
"Do you trust him?" Silas suddenly asked.
Aya paused and then turned to look at Silas. She smiled faintly. "If I don’t trust him, why would I be here?"
There were questions about Mayor Hall’s action that Aya didn’t understand at all. But at the same time, she also knew that Mayor Hall was unwilling to tell her the specific reason.
Moreover, Aya seemed to know something from Mayor Hall’s action.
At the very least, she knew that Mayor Hall seemed to have no malicious intention towards them.
This should be a good thing.
"To reach rank 9 quickly," Silas replied and he looked at the area around them. "The formation here should be very good."
He didn’t know where the formation was drawn or anything like that. After all, Silas was not a formation master. But when he stepped to this area, he could sense that the mana concentration in the air increased a lot.
From this alone, Silas knew that Mayor Hall should prepare a formation for them.
Practicing here basically yielded them with much better result compared to training outside.
But...
"Does higher mana concentration useful for magic spell creation?"
Silas did make some magic spells in the past such as the dark element magic, but the rank was not that high. After all, he has his own understanding of his own magic and made some magic that was suitable for him.
"It can help you to replenish your mana quickly," Aya replied with a smile. "Let’s just practice quickly. Otherwise, I’ll advance to rank 9 faster than you."
"I’ll be faster this time."
"My rank is higher than you."
"Advancing to rank 9 needs understanding and creation of new magic, so you might be able to win."
"But I..."
The two of them bickered jokingly, teasing each other. To be honest, neither of the two truly cared about who advanced to rank 9 first among the two of them. After all, they were not Evan and Leon who competed with each other over various things, including small matters.
In the next period of time, the two of them spent most of their time practicing in Central Magic City.
Through the books in Mayor Hall’s library, Aya’s understanding of formation increased by leaps and bounds. Looking at the progress in her system, Aya felt really satisfied. It was getting faster and faster, which also allowed her to have a lot of knowledge appearing in her mind every single day.
This made Aya very satisfied.
Because this meant that she would be able to finish the formation quickly.
The alchemy study was also not lagging behind and Aya made a lot of potions. Of course, the materials were collected by herself or bought with mana crystals. And after she made it, more than half of these potions were sold for more mana crystals.
The process repeated again and again.
Seeing how Aya could split her attention to learn various things, Silas really wondered how Aya’s brain worked. Because he was only learning about puppet and magic tools making and it was already very tiring. Yet, his progress didn’t seem to be as fast as Aya.
One day during their practice time, Aya came to find Silas and asked, "I want to find Nathan Green."
Silas was stunned.
Nathan Green is indeed in Central Magic City and this was something that many people knew.
After all, Nathan never hid his presence and after making a lot of troubles in Yansu City and Xunsu City to kill the people who were involved in the death of his brother, sister in law, and master, he headed to Central Magic City.
Just a few months ago, Nathan killed a magic warrior and made a fuss in Central Magic City.
The identity of the few magic warriors who came from Central Magic City to that mine event has not been completely disclosed, so Nathan was still in hiding.
But Silas should be able to find him.
Due to the special nature of his magic...
"Why do you want to find him?" Silas asked in doubts. He didn’t think that Aya and Nathan were close to each other. Moreover, aren’t Aya has been busy with her three knowledge learning these days?
"I have something that I want to talk with him about," Aya replied.
Now that her knowledge over the formation had broken through, she could finally complete what she had wanted to do a long time ago.
