Chapter 1692: Suppressing The Yin Riders With A Finger

“That’s keeper Zhou, steward Yao and the others... they’ve escaped...”

“What do we do now?”

“What else? Flee!”

“The yin riders are returning! Flee now!”

Having lost the backbone of their group, the caravans immediately fell into chaos. Some people were cursing and yelling in anger. Some people were running away. Some people were dazed and confused...

“What are you standing there for, Old Guan? Flee!”

An acquaintance of Old Guan could not help but shout when saw that the middle-aged man was just standing there with a dazed expression and doing nothing.

When he received no response, the man chalked Old Guan up as a lost cause and broke into a run as well.

“It’s no use. Escape is impossible. Everyone will die...”

Old Guan slowly lifted his head and stared at the terrified, fleeing people. He muttered dazedly, “Everyone will die...”

......

“Interesting. I didn’t know that a mastermind was behind the yin riders.”

While everyone was panicking or fleeing, the young man and young woman trailing at the back of the caravans were wearing calm, collected smiles on their faces.

“What’s your pick, Qingyou?”

The young man was Ye Qing, and the young woman was Feng Qingyou as a matter of course.

They had run into Old Guan’s caravan—the Anhe Caravan—not long after they set foot on the Golden Road. Anhe was the name of a famous merchant group in Wei.

Seeing that the duo were alone and seemingly friendly, Old Guan had asked them to join the caravan. It was to save the duo from much unnecessary troubles and risks.

Although neither Ye Qing nor Feng Qingyou were afraid of trouble, they saw no reason to turn down his kindness. So, they joined the caravan and trailed behind the line.

Anhe was very famous in Wei. They had businesses across the entire realm, and they were frequent users of the Golden Road. That was why their journey had been perfectly smooth and safe for a time. No bandit or Stranger were stupid enough to attack the Anhe Caravan.

Until now.

Of course, only Ye Qing and Feng Qingyou thought that their attackers were stupid. The Anhe Caravan saw it as a disaster that would annihilate them all.

It was worth noting that this was Ye Qing and Feng Qingyou had been waiting for this whole time.

Their attackers didn’t know this yet, but they were not the hunters they were. They were the hunted; fishes to be shot in the barrel.

“I’ll deal with the mastermind. You handle the yin riders.” Feng Qingyou replied while looking at the distance. She was looking straight at the peak where Blood Plum’s group was residing.

“Got it. Be careful,” Ye Qing replied. Feng Qingyou was gone even before his voice faded.

In just a short while, the noisy, jampacked road had become completely empty. Well, almost. Old Guan was the only one who didn’t bother to escape. He simply stood there with empty, listless eyes as he waited for death to claim him.

“Are you feeling okay, Uncle Guan?”

Ye Qing walked up to him and asked him concernedly.

“... Why didn’t you go with them, brother?” 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖

Old Guan jolted back into reality when he heard Ye Qing’s voice. Then, he said dazedly, “Then again, what’s the point? It’s death either way.”

“Relax, Uncle Guan. You’re not dying today,” Ye Qing replied smilingly.

As soon as Ye Qing said this, Old Guan abruptly felt his fear and despair melting away like the snow. It was like the sun was shining into his heart and dispelling all of the cold and terror.

“Why do you say that?”

“Because I am here.”

Ye Qing turned around and faced the yin riders.

Right now, the yin riders looked very different from before. Their eyes were blood red instead of dark green, their weapons were unsheathed, and a thick cloud of fiendish qi was rising from their bodies.

Like predators who spotted their prey, the yin riders started charging as soon as they saw Old Guan and Ye Qing.

The horses’ gallop was perfectly silent, but their momentum was overwhelming and unstoppable. Yin wind howled, and fiendish qi rose. It formed a three-hundred-meter long blood dragon in the air that was brimming with bloodthirst.

When the heavens murdered, the stars shifted, and the constellations were replaced. When the earth murdered, dragons and serpents rose from the ground. When humans murdered, blood ran like a river.

The yin riders’ gallop and the dragon’s circling resembled a red flood. It seemed capable of destroying anything and everything.

Old Guan was stupefied long before the yin riders reached him.

But for some reason, he did not feel the slightest bit of fear in his heart.

Nor did Ye Qing.

Old Guan was fearless because Ye Qing had dispelled his fear with his demonic thought. Ye Qing was fearless because he never thought that the yin riders were worthy opponents in the slightest.

Ye Qing’s response toward the incoming tide was to take one step forward.

Buzz!

It felt as if a mountain that towered above the sky had suddenly yet soundlessly rose from the ground, blocking all of the yin wind, the fiendish qi, the invisible flood, and the killing intent. None could find even an inch of purchase.

The yin riders roared silently, and the red light in their eyes grew brighter. Then, they swung the sabers at the same time.

“ROOOAAAAARRRRR—”

Enveloped by an endless current of yin wind and fiendish qi, the bloody flood dragon above them charged as if it was attempting to evolve into a true dragon.

When a flood dragon swam the waters to evolve into a divine dragon, the rivers overflowed, the mountains collapsed, the country shattered, and the living perished.

As the bloody flood dragon charged forward, claws began growing under its belly, and horns began growing out of its head. Every transformation thickened its pressure and aura.

“The likes of you do not deserve to evolve into a dragon!”

Ye Qing scoffed and took another step forward.

His raised foot was as heavy as the earth below his feet, and his stomp felt like the collapse of the stars and the nine heavens.

There was an epic impact, and...

RUUUMMMMMBBBBLLLEEEEEE!!!

The bloody flood collapsed, and the bloody flood dragon’s head abruptly smashed into the ground. As its momentum was carrying it forward, it unwittingly drew a long gorge at least dozens of meters deep on the ground.

The rumbles were unending, and soil flew everywhere. The flood dragon’s body did not stop until it was right in front of Ye Qing.

Ye Qing was as small as ant compared to the flood dragon’s head, and yet Ye Qing was the one standing upright, and the flood dragon was the one with its face buried in the ground.

“Roar!”

The flood dragon roared and tried to get up.

“You look better prostrating yourself on the ground!”

However, Ye Qing slammed its head right back to the soil it belonged to with a single declaration.

The yin riders were bowled over at the same time as if a chain reaction was triggered.

“That’s all you got.”

A careless chuckle escaped Ye Qing’s lips as he stepped on the flood dragon’s head. The creature immediately broke into pieces.

As a wind blew the dragon into dust, the yin riders too dissolved into nothing inch by inch.

“What... in the...”

Behind Ye Qing, Old Guan was beyond stunned by what he was seeing. He could not believe that the unstoppable, invincible yin riders of his nightmares had been stomped into nothing just like that.

Just like that!

Before he could finish the thought though, the blood sun in the sky brightened, and the yin riders that had already disintegrated into nothing suddenly came back to life.

“Yes, this is more like it. The yin riders are unkillable and immortal.”

Those dark memories of the past began replaying in his mind once more. The Blood Sun Yin Riders were scary not just because they were strong, but because they were unkillable. They would return even if you killed them.

The candle of hope that just appeared in Old Guan’s heart winked out because of this.

So what if you were powerful? What could you do against a monster that was unkillable?

Ye Qing’s smile did not fade even though the yin riders had resurrected. He wasn’t feeling any sorrow or delight, fear or panic either.

The yin riders rode again once they were fully formed.

However, Ye Qing merely lifted his hand and clenched slowly.

Space shuddered invisibly. Just like that, the charging yin riders were crushed into powder.
