STRIKER: Independent Beast Tamer-Chapter 661: Revenge starts!
5th Zone, City A
Wilderness
Jeremy Night started looking for the Red Moon Chamber Beast Tamers. Since he knew they were separated and their life and death were unknown, he grew anxious.
Head Harold had told him to attack the illegal organization members. He thought it would be a waste if none of the members survived.
Fortunately, some of them were back in the organization. This incident happened before they could select the mission.
Rustle!
His senses picked up some movement ahead. The wilderness was now a rich land with dense vegetation; there was hardly any open space left.
The environment would become denser as it stretched beyond the unexplored area. The natural energy was thicker here.
It was a similar environment to the city. No wonder everyone wanted to explore the unexplored area. He thought his day would come.
But right now, he needs to complete his mission.
Rustle!
Once again, the rustling sound appeared. He paused his footsteps and looked ahead. His gaze deepened.
He saw a person coming in his direction. Both of them would soon cross paths.
The person coming here was a middle-aged man with a heavy build. He was a Tier-5 Beast Tamer and a member of the illegal Shadow Skull Gang.
He was riding on his Sand Salamander, his lifeline beast. The sound was caused by the movement of the Sand Salamander.
Right now, the middle-aged man was frustrated. He had lost track of the Red Moon Chamber member. The higher-ups had given orders to eliminate them. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦
Those who achieved the most kills would receive a huge reward. For that reward, everyone had become competitive.
After the initial ambush and fight, the survivors fled in different directions. He had been chasing one person and lost track midway.
"Hmmm." The middle-aged man raised his eyebrows.
He sensed something. His vision was clear. He saw someone standing in his path. When his gaze fell on the uniform and badge logo, his eyes flashed with excitement.
He recognized the uniform and badge of the Red Moon Chamber. He thought he had found the fleeing member.
Then he noticed something. If the person was fleeing for their life, they should be running right now. Instead, he saw that the person was standing there, as if he were waiting for his arrival.
"Harumph." He gave a cold snort.
No matter what, the person was not going to escape. In a flash, he got closer. Then he saw that the person was indeed from the Red Moon Chamber.
But he was a young Tier-2 Beast Tamer. He almost laughed out loud. He ordered his Sand Salamander to take the head of the young man.
Swoosh!
The four-meter-long Sand Salamander sped forward fast. It opened its wide mouth to bite.
Jeremy was not idle. He had already coated the katana blade with the Starlight liquid.
Slash!
The salamander was about to bite him. He sidestepped and drew the blade.
Puchak!
The blade swept across the huge neck, the strike cutting diagonally. The blade felt no resistance whatsoever.
The Starlight power met no resistance; the blade left behind a deep cut as he withdrew it.
Pfff!
A torrent of blood gushed forth from the wound like fountain water. The middle-aged man felt the pain through the contractor connection.
"Aaaahhhh!"
He let out a terrifying scream as he and the Sand Salamander smashed against the hard ground. The heavy fall created a deep pit. Dust and smoke rose.
Swoosh!
The impact force went sweeping away the nearby vegetation.
Jeremy faced the impact force, but he felt nothing. Rather, the surrounding land became empty and plain.
Pfff!
The Sand Salamander was a Tier-5 Lifeline beast, yet it was now lying on the ground. There was a deep cut in its neck. A stream of blood was forming a pool around it.
Jeremy’s eyes flickered. He knew that the Sand Salamander wouldn’t be able to stand because he had severed the blood vessels.
Because of this, the Sand Salamander had lost its ability.
The middle-aged man had a trace of clarity. He stood up from the ground with disheveled hair and torn clothes. He saw the state of the Sand Salamander.
There was nothing wrong with the body except the deep red line across the neck. The size of the cut was small compared to the beast’s size.
Yet, the cut had done its job. The beast was immobile now. The middle-aged man was not stupid. He could see through it. He could tell that it was a calculated move.
He then heard footsteps and turned towards the young man. His eyes flashed with fear. He once again confirmed the strength of the young man. It was really Tier-2. This was something beyond comprehension right at this moment.
"Who are you?" he asked in a trembling tone.
He was already half-crippled. The huge block of his mental zone was half-cracked. If the Sand Salamander died, then he would become a complete cripple.
Unless there was an opportunity, he wouldn’t rise again. He would stay a cripple for his entire life.
Jeremy Night continued to approach the middle-aged man without any hurry. He knew the middle-aged man was crippled.
Since there was no one to save him, he was taking it leisurely, despite the middle-aged man’s continuous questions.
He walked in front of the middle-aged man. The man was so scared that he was not thinking straight at all.
The Sand Salamander lost consciousness. It couldn’t assist the contractor right now.
Slice!
The katana blade became blurred before the middle-aged man’s eyes.
Thud!
The next second, a decapitated head rolled over the ground. The decapitated head’s eyes were open. They were filled with terror and confusion.
Jeremy’s gaze fell on the corpse. He furrowed his eyebrows. He noticed that his killing style was the same; he ended the enemies’ lives in one move.
People with discerning eyes could find out the clues. Then they would definitely relate the clue to the death of the four Skull Gang members earlier.
After making a decision, he waited for the salamander’s death. Then, he placed the corpses of the salamander and the middle-aged man into his storage ring.
