Jeremy Night was staying in a tree hole. Suddenly, his senses screamed at him. He opened his eyes.

He didn’t move his body. Instead, he used his "second eye" ability. His X-ray vision saw through the tree, revealing the scene outside.

A black snake, over five meters in size, loomed in front of the shade tree. Both of its vertical pupils were fixed on the tree hole.

Jeremy had covered the tree hole with leaves. His gaze swept across the area.

Then, he saw Beast Tamers hiding behind the bushes. He saw five of them close to the tree, and one more person hiding a great distance behind them.

The presence of that distant man felt much stronger than the Beast Tamers near him. Jeremy’s expression changed drastically.

He was sure the person standing behind them was a Tier-5 Beast Tamer or higher, because the snake beast didn’t look like a Tier-4 beast.

Its size was similar to a Tier-5 beast. It could be the "lifeline beast" of that Tamer. Jeremy Night’s mind raced to find a solution.

He touched his weapon case. He slowly picked up a handgun and held it in his right hand.

Then, he started covering the bullets with starlight thread. Each one of the bullets was wrapped in a single thread of starlight power.

At the same time, the Tier-5 Beast Tamer gave the command to strike the giant shade tree.

Boom!

The next second, the black snake acted. Its huge body moved, and its long tail struck the shade tree.

Boom!

The shade tree felt the impact. The massive tree was uprooted the next second.

Jeremy Night, who was hiding inside the tree hole, felt the force of the impact as well. He was thrown out of the tree hole by the force. Jeremy adjusted his body before landing on the ground.

He landed near a low-lying pit. Seeing that, he immediately moved toward the small dip. He wanted to catch them off guard. He couldn’t use his handgun right now; he wanted them to get closer to him.

Boom!

The black snake moved in a zigzag manner. It reached the giant shade tree and struck the remains over and over.

The shock force spread across the area. The nearby grass and other green cover were overturned by the powerful force.

The Beast Tamers watched from the sidelines. The five Tamers didn’t dare to come out. The leader who ordered the black snake confirmed the situation: there was no sign of the target near the site.

The black snake used its pupils to search the area, but the sunken spot had become a blind spot for the creature.

It didn’t find the target hiding in the deep pit. The huge body of the snake continued overturning the land to find its prey.

Jeremy Night, hiding in the pit, watched as the beast went on a rampage. Broken boulders and sand landed in the deep pit. He could feel the tremors.

He didn’t stop using his "second eye" ability. Everything before his eyes became transparent. The Beast Tamers were all hiding except for one.

That man was the contractor of the snake beast. If Jeremy targeted him, the others would be alerted. He wanted to see what they were going to do next.

If the others summoned their lifeline beasts, it would be better for him. He would target the lifeline beasts one by one, and then the Beast Tamers would be crippled.

Earlier, he had wanted to target the Tamers themselves, but that plan was no longer feasible. He could only target the lifeline beasts.

Meanwhile, the Leader was pissed off. He had told them to attack, but he didn’t expect them to fail. From his lifeline beast, he received word that no one was dead yet. He thought the target might have fainted.

"What are you guys doing? Release your lifeline beasts!" the Leader ordered.

Boom!

The rest of the Tier-5 Beast Tamers heard his voice and summoned their lifeline beasts the next second.

A Tier-5 Red Scorpion landed on the ground. A drop of deadly poison fell from its stinger.

Sshsh!

The next second, the deadly poison corroded the green vegetation.

Buzz!

A two-meter black bug appeared third. It hovered in mid-air. The flapping sound was so high-pitched that it hurt everyone’s ears. Now, there were two more beasts to go. The last two were insect beasts as well.

Buzz!

It was a deadly mosquito over three meters in size. All of the deadly Tier-5 beasts appeared within a minute. They started searching for the prey. Jeremy Night, hiding in the deep pit, was shocked to the core.

Now that four more beasts had appeared, it was only a matter of time before they found him. Jeremy made a decision.

He held the handgun tightly and started walking toward the snake beast. The snake was still swinging its tail here and there.

Buzz!

The shock force was tearing up the ground. Jeremy saw the insect bug coming toward him all of a sudden. His face changed drastically.

He was lying low, and it should have been difficult for anyone to find him, yet the bug found him first. He quickly changed his target.

He used his "second eye" ability on the insect bug, seeing its blood vessels and weak points. He raised his right hand and took aim.

Buzz!

When the insect bug got closer to the pit, he pulled the trigger. He targeted the eyes and the blood vessels.

Bang! Bang!

A white line appeared in a flash. The starlight bullets reached the target in an instant. The bullets hit their mark the next second.

Puchak!

The compound eyes of the insect bug burst open. Blood splattered on the ground.

Shriek!

The insect bug let out a terrible scream that stunned everyone. Its eyes were gone, and blood poured from the wounds.

Not only that, but one of the bullets had torn through a weak part of its body, damaging its blood vessels. The insect bug was deeply injured now.
