Chapter 743: Sweet Home

Red Moon Chamber

Time passed.

That evening, Jeremy was summoned by Head Harold. He was surprised; he thought the package delivered earlier in the day might have been noticed. He collected his thoughts and left the room.

A few minutes later, he arrived in front of the office. He entered and saw Head Harold waiting for him. Jeremy greeted him respectfully.

"Jeremy, sit down," Harold said.

Jeremy sat opposite him, still wondering why he had been summoned. Harold saw through the young man’s thoughts and chuckled.

"I know you must be wondering," he said. "I have decided to send you back home for a break. You can come back after a week, at least."

Jeremy was taken aback by the offer. To be honest, the thought had been on his mind, but he hadn’t had the chance to really implement it.

Now that he had the opportunity, he could go back to visit his parents. Jeremy was delighted and thanked Head Harold.

"I’ll ask Melinda to send you the tickets," Harold added.

They then spoke on other topics. Head Harold was interested in Jeremy’s recent missions. Jeremy spoke briefly about them, though he hid some of the truth.

Ten minutes later, Jeremy left the office and returned to his room. Not long after entering, he received a call from Sister Melinda. She sent him the tickets for both journeys, and he thanked her.

He tried to get an answer from her regarding whether there was any ulterior intention behind this sudden break, but Sister Melinda didn’t find anything amiss.

Jeremy dropped the matter; if anything came up, he decided he would face it head-on.

The next morning, he left the organization and went to the airport alone. He really needed the break, especially after surviving such a dangerous mission.

The process went smoothly, and he boarded the flight to the 10th Zone. He was going to take a rest and spend time with his family.

One hour later, the fortified flight departed. There were 200 passengers inside. Jeremy watched the passing scenes through the window.

As the flight departed, he could feel the dense natural energy decreasing.

The flight entered a path characterized by a lack of natural energy in the environment. It was the safest route and preferred by many airlines because no higher-tier beasts lived in such areas.

Time passed, and the flight reached the 10th Zone a few days later.

The plane landed at the airport in City A.

Jeremy left the airport twenty minutes later. When he stepped outside, he found the natural energy in the environment was lacking compared to the 5th Zone.

He collected his thoughts and approached a cab, negotiating the fare before getting into the back seat.

Swoosh! 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦

The cab departed shortly afterward. Jeremy started asking about the city.

Though the 10th Zone lacked the resources of the 5th Zone, it was truly dangerous when it came to threat levels.

The wilderness here contained the "Core Area," which was the habitat of Colossal Beasts. He hadn’t forgotten the beast invasions.

He still remembered facing attacks from the spider webs; in his previous mission, he had faced a Tier-6 Spider. Compared to a Colossal Beast, however, a Tier-6 Spider was like a slightly larger ant.

The driver continued to talk about recent developments. It had been several months since Jeremy had departed, but there weren’t many major changes. No new beast invasions had occurred.

The Beast Tamers were doing regular missions in the wilderness, but they were more cautious than before.

No one dared to step inside the Core Area. Everyone had learned their lesson: a single attack from a Colossal Beast could destroy their city.

When the conversation ended, they arrived at the address.

Jeremy stepped out of the car and paid the fare. He entered the gated community after showing his I.D. The guards, recognizing the Red Moon Chamber, allowed him through without many questions.

Soon, he came to the mansion where his parents were staying. He opened the gate and walked in.

He could see staff working in the garden; the place was similar to the Night Mansion back in the 14th Zone. His arrival drew attention, but the staff recognized his uniform and identity.

"Could it be Young Master Jeremy?" an old man asked.

"Yes," he replied.

Team Leader Gisela had done well in relocating his parents. The natural energy here was much better than in the 14th Zone; for them, it was a paradise. The old man, shocked and happy, quickly led Jeremy inside.

Jeremy walked into the living area and saw his mother. "Mom," he greeted her.

Nora Night was watching the news when she heard her son’s voice. She abruptly turned and saw him. "My son!" she uttered in pleasant surprise.

She hadn’t known he was returning. Before she could get up, he went forward and embraced her. After greetings and smiles, they sat down together.

"I didn’t know you would be back," she said with a smile.

"I took a week’s break to spend time with you guys," Jeremy replied. "Where is Father?"

Nora chuckled. "You will be surprised. He is working at the Red Moon Chamber now."

"What?" Jeremy was taken aback. He never knew.

"Yeah, Head Neil Moon personally asked both of us to be members of the Red Moon Chamber," Nora said.

Jeremy raised his eyebrows. To be honest, he didn’t know whether to be happy or not. The Red Moon organization was indeed powerful, but his goals lay in the Top 3 Zones.

Those places were abundant with rich resources, even more so than the 5th Zone.

He had thought the 5th Zone’s environment would be enough to hatch his unknown beast egg, but he was wrong.

The resources needed for the egg were vast; he could only think of the Top 3 Zones as a way to hatch it.

Otherwise, he didn’t know how long it would take.

So he started developing the main goal to enter the top three zones. Of course, he didn’t tell others about his main goal yet.
