Chapter 767: Fresh encounter

Jeremy left the organization in the car. He told the driver to drop him at the Wilderness. He had already packed everything for the trip.

He was not going to hide his identity. When the car came to the main street, it joined the traffic before following the other cars.

Jeremy was curious. He was looking through the window when, suddenly, his eyes caught something. He saw a few people looking at the vehicle less than a hundred meters away.

A quick gleam flashed in his eyes. The next second, he used his eye power to zoom in.

He saw Beast Tamers dressed in different clothes, but they were all looking exactly at the vehicle. His eyes flashed with understanding; he realized they could be informers.

He then withdrew his gaze. If these people followed him into the Wilderness, he would take care of them. He thought it was possible for the Darkshade organization to hire people to monitor him.

Time passed.

The cab driver dropped him at the main gate ten minutes later. He stepped out and paid the fare. The driver accepted it, and Jeremy walked up to the guards. He showed his I.D., and the guard verified it.

At the same time, Jeremy felt someone watching him. He was sure it was not just a thought. He casually turned his head to look and found a few middle-aged men across the street. He zoomed in to see their reaction.

They were looking at him. Jeremy withdrew his gaze and turned back to the guards.

Once they verified his I.D., they allowed him to enter the Wilderness. Jeremy stepped inside the place, and the Wilderness aura greeted him.

His eyes flashed with a glint. He walked boldly into the Wilderness, making no effort to hide his whereabouts.

On the other hand, the scouts at the main gate were part of Jeffery’s men as well. They recognized Jeremy Night and immediately informed Jeffery.

Meanwhile, Tier-6 Beast Tamer Jeffery and the others got excited by the news. They had been waiting a long time for this to happen.

They could finally leave the hideout to complete the mission. Once they were done with this task, they could start completing other missions faster.

Jeffery and his team members quickly left the area. There was still some distance between their hideout and the main part of the Wilderness.

They didn’t know the target’s specific mission, so they were going to look for him near the main gate.

...

Office

Head Harold received a call from Stephen. He learned that none of the spies outside had followed Jeremy Night’s car.

Harold doubted this; he hadn’t expected it to happen. He had thought someone would follow the car since they were looking for Jeremy Night.

How could they miss a single car? Then, he thought of the main gate. Realization dawned in his eyes.

He figured the spies could be there as well. They didn’t necessarily have to be stationed right outside the organization.

He cleared his doubts with Stephen. Stephen already had his team near the main gate and had informed them.

It didn’t take long for him to learn that three Tier-4 Beast Tamers had entered the Wilderness right after Jeremy Night. When Head Harold came to know about it, he sighed inwardly.

At least he could predict things like this. He believed the three Beast Tamers were going to tail Jeremy Night and share his information with the main killers.

He then told Stephen to send a few of his team members after them. He didn’t want anything to happen to Jeremy Night.

...

Wilderness

Jeremy reached a much deeper area two hours later. Just before he could find a suitable spot, he spotted corrupted beasts.

The typical four-legged beasts were busy; it appeared more than five hybrid dog beasts were eating something.

He moved a few steps closer and used his eye power to zoom in. He saw the hybrid dog beasts wolfing down the corpse of a Beast Tamer.

His heart turned cold, and a chill appeared in his eyes.

Swoosh!

He darted toward the hybrid beasts, his gaze zoomed in on them. While moving, he unsheathed his blade, gripping the katana tightly.

The hybrid beasts, busy eating, were alerted. They saw something coming toward them and thought an enemy was trying to snatch their food.

They were enraged and ready to attack. The next second, two of them raced forward.

Swoosh!

Jeremy appeared before the beasts in a flash and swung his blade.

Cut!

The blade moved in a wide arc, cutting the neck of the first dog beast. He didn’t stop there and made another strike.

The blade swept across the neck of the second dog beast. In a flash, both decapitated heads dropped to the ground.

Pfff!

A torrent of blood gushed forth from the wounds, dyeing the ground crimson.

The other beasts roared in rage and charged toward him. Seeing this, he held the blade tight and performed the "Blade One" move. The blade moved fast.

At the same time, he felt that mysterious power again. He didn’t have much time to grasp it, so he simply swept the blade at the approaching beasts.

Slash!

The blade cleaved through the side of a beast. A large amount of blood sprayed out as the beast collapsed on the spot. He didn’t stop and continued to attack the next beast.

The blade danced in the air before meeting their bodies. He cleaved through them one after another until his clothes were drenched in blood.

A few minutes later, all the beasts were cut down. Their mutilated parts were splattered across the ground, which was now dyed red.

He ignored the mess and looked at the corpse of the human Beast Tamer. He came closer to the body and used his eye power to look for details.

The corpse was almost entirely eaten, but he searched the belongings for any clues, specifically checking to see if there was a uniform or any identifying marks.
