Strongest Demigod System-Chapter 50: Academic Ranking
[Gym Building. Third Floor.]
"You all are late."
Scar spoke up with a small frown when the last batch of students entered the athletics hall. The students were the same ones who had attacked Azrael in the bathroom earlier, and they were all sporting large bruises on various parts of their bodies as they tried to catch their breaths.
Many of them had to be woken up from unconsciousness before they started running to the gym.
The grey-haired boy glared at Azrael when he saw him standing to one side of the room, and Azrael just gave the boy a small grin in return before turning away again.
"Sorry, Mr. Scar. We had to use the toilet before coming."
The grey-haired boy tried to lie his way out of the punishment they would be receiving, and Scar just eyed them all with a blank stare.
"You all had to go to the bathroom at the same time? I had no idea you were all suddenly pregnant. I hope your waters didn't break while you were in there. If you're going to be taking time off from school for your condition, then tell me now so I can remove you from the roster."
"S-Sorry, sir!"

The grey-haired boy apologized quickly, and all the other boys also apologized as they bowed their heads. Scar just turned away while speaking.
"I'll be taking ten academic points from each of you for losing such a one-sided fight. Get in line."
The boys were all stunned by Scar's words, and it was only after a few seconds that they realized what Scar meant.
Scar knew that they had been fighting in the bathroom, and he was taking points away from them because they lost.
Scar wasn't even angry at the fact that the boys had fought. In fact, if the boys had only been late after fighting, then Scar might've even allowed them to join without bothering to give them any punishment.
But the fact that six of them lost to one person was just too ridiculous for Scar to overlook. They needed to increase their training if they wanted to stand a chance against the stronger demigods.
The boys hung their heads in defeat and moved to stand in line before Scar regarded all the students with a stern gaze while tapping his novel against his thigh calmly.
"Okay then, I can tell you're all well-rested, so we're going to get right into things. Today is only the first day of combat training, and although many of you have a long way to go before you can claim to be anything resembling a Divine Enforcer, there are a few of you who have proven yourselves to be a cut above the rest. And for the sake of competition, the school has decided that you deserve to view your academic rankings right from the start of the school year. Bring it up."
[Certainly. Please shift your attention towards the west screen in order to view your current academic rankings.]
The simulation AI voice spoke up in response to Scar's demand, and the far wall in the room suddenly lit up into a large rectangular screen. On the screen, more than a hundred names began to appear from the bottom up, and the students all turned upwards to glance at the screen in muted shock!
Some of the students quickly began to celebrate when they saw they were rather high up in the rankings.
The names from number twenty upwards were all displayed in bolder font and a different color, and a lot of the students stopped their celebration as they started paying closer attention to see who would be in the top twenty.
The first few names from twenty to fifteen were simply random students who had worked harder than the others. Their scores were not that far from those below them, and it would be easy for the students to surpass them in time, but the top five students were so far away from the others that it was abysmal!
5 – Tiana Gertrude [105 Points]
4 – Gerald Gaye [172 Points]
3 – Henry James [220 Points]
2 – Azrael Mortis [372 Points]
1 – Jane Ashton [381 Points]
The difference in score between the fifth student and the sixth student was nearly fifty points, and from there, it just got crazy as you headed up the table! The students in the top five all had scores in the three digits, while everyone else had scores in double digits, with the highest-ranking student having almost four hundred points!
The students went wild with murmurs!
"Holy shit! Is this real!? Jane had almost four hundred points!"
"Does she sleep in the gym or something!? I always see her working out, but this is insane!"
"Bro, what about Azrael!? Look how close the both of them are! Only nine points difference!"
"How the hell did they get such high points!? Don't we all have the same number of classes or something!? It's like they had forty-eight hours in a day instead of twenty-four!"
The class was all stunned at the points that their fellow classmates had, and they wondered how in the world they were able to work hard enough to get this many points so quickly. It was not a secret to anyone just how they could accumulate points in the school.
The easiest way to accumulate points in the school was by going to the gym and the simulation room. The more you go to work out on your own and improve your body without the school telling you to do so, the more academic points you earn. Other ways to earn points were by passing your midterm exams with flying colors, doing well in the bi-weekly training, and also by making sure your class came out ahead in the interclass combat training that would be taking place at the end of the month.
Basically, the better you are as a student and the more you train, the higher your score would be. The school was basically trying to tell them that the only thing they needed to be the best in the school was the tenacity to push everything aside and focus solely on improving themselves as demigods.
Azrael frowned the moment he saw the ranking appearing on the screen. There was a strange feeling of irritation in his heart that appeared when he saw that he was in second and not first. Azrael knew that he went to the gym far more than Jane. He was there nearly every day and stayed there for hours after she left, so there was no way she was gaining those points because of going to the gym more than him.
That meant that the only way she was getting more points than him was by going to the God Aspect training room.
In the school, there was another training room where students were able to use their God Aspects without any limitations. The room would allow you to activate and use your God Aspect as much as you want, and you didn't have to worry about damaging the room.
Azrael couldn't use that room because he was seen as someone without a God Aspect as far as the school was concerned.
Azrael wondered if Jane was getting more points by going there than she was getting in the gym. Is that why she was always leaving the gym early? She figured that she would have more points if she went to the God Aspect training room, so she only worked out for a short time before going there.
Azrael cursed, and when he noticed someone looking at him, he turned to the side and saw that it was Jane.
Jane wasn't smiling, and the smug look that Azrael expected to see on her face wasn't there either. Instead, she looked genuinely surprised to see the scores.
Jane was looking at Azrael like she didn't understand what was going on.
