The matron of their shared dorm was standing in the dining hall, watching over the young children who were already eating breakfast, and Azrael told her that he was going out with a friend that day. The matron was surprised for a moment before she smiled and told him to have fun.

The matron knew that Azrael was very antisocial, so she didn't think that Azrael would be able to make a friend at all. She had been worried about him for so long.

Knowing that he finally made a friend that he would hang out with on the weekend was very reassuring.

Azrael thanked her and gave her some final words while leaving.

"I promised Thomas he could have my share of pancakes."

The matron laughed and waved Azrael off while promising that she would give it to him. The matron sighed happily with her hand on her cheek.

"What a good boy. I'm so proud of him."

Azrael spent most of the day scoping out the Prince Oak Hotel.

After getting to the street where the hotel was located, Azrael found a café that was nearby with a good view of the entrance and watched the comings and goings from there.

The Family Care bus hadn't arrived yet, and Azrael held onto the hope that it would arrive soon. There were a few guards at the entrance to the hotel, and valets were taking cars to park them once guests arrived.

The day passed uneventfully, with Azrael pretending to work on some homework while taking breakfast, lunch and a few cups of coffee from the café to prevent arousing suspicion.

Azrael had spoken with Maddison yesterday about his cover story and made sure that she understood what he was doing today so she could cover for him later.

The Family Care outfit and keycard that Azrael stole were in his bag, and he also brought his black hoodie and a new face mask that would cover his entire face rather than just his nose and mouth.

While killing Francis, Azrael discovered that it was easy for people to identify him from his eyes alone, so he wasn't going to take any chances in case there were CCTV cameras around.

Azrael looked at his watch and saw that it was nearly four in the afternoon, and just as the sun was beginning to set, the mission began.

The Family Care van arrived at the hotel exactly five minutes after four. There were two vans, and twelve people came out from the vans after it was parked away from the hotel entrance. There was a backdoor that employees would use behind the hotel, and that was where the Family Care employees would go through.

Azrael hurried off to the bathroom and quickly put on the Family Care outfit. He tied his hoodie around his waist and hung the keycard over his chest pocket before he wore a simple black face mask to cover the lower part of his face.

He walked out of the café and started moving across the road. It was already late in the evening, so there weren't that many people around. A few cars were moving past the road, and the guards standing in front of the hotel looked tired and worn out, so they barely picked up Azrael.

Once Azrael was out of sight of the guards, he put on his facecap and headed toward the van.

In situations like these where you are trying to blend into a crowd, the best thing to have is confidence. With confidence, more than ninety percent of the troubles that you would normally face were going to evaporate from existence.

This was because humans naturally trusted people who seemed confident in whatever they were saying.

If Azrael walked up to the bus while shaking and stuttering without even looking anyone in the eye, then it was going to be obvious that he didn't belong there. He would be found out immediately.

But if Azrael walked up with a confident stride and an eager attitude while simply blending in, most of them were simply going to ignore him and keep doing whatever they were doing before.

They weren't being paid to keep an eye on their fellow employees.

The Family Care employees were heading into the back of the hotel with some trolleys. Each employee took a trolley from the back of the bus and went in, and Azrael first walked around while making sure that none of the hotel staff saw him before he went to the back of the bus.

A female employee was handing the trolleys out with a tired look on her face, and Azrael was about to collect one from her when he heard someone call out from the side.

"You with the cap."

Azrael flinched slightly once he heard someone referring to him, and he turned confidently to the person. Azrael couldn't show any form of guilt, so he tried to make his expression unreadable and simply waited for the person to come up to him.

It was a man with a balding head and a large figure that seemed like some sort of supervisor. He had been talking to some of the other Family Care employees before he headed towards Azrael.

Once the man came close enough, Azrael gave the man a small greeting, and the man waved it away while reaching up and grabbing the facecap from Azrael's head.

"Are you new? What do you think you're doing with this cap? Do you think we're going to a damn rave or something? And take that hoodie off. You know how the company gets about wearing anything over the uniform."

"Sorry, sir. I have a cold."

The man sighed and rubbed the side of his face as Azrael spoke up in a fake strained voice.

"If you're sick, then you should've stayed home. Don't take work over your health."

Azrael nodded and spoke in a husky voice.

"Yes, sir. Sorry."

The man gave Azrael a once-over before he sighed and tossed the facecap towards Azrael.

"Fine, you can keep it on, but make sure you take it off when we get back to the office. I'm not going to cover for anyone if they're getting chewed out by madam Silica."

The man turned and started to reprimand another employee who tripped and almost fell over, and Azrael collected the trolley from the woman and started to head into the back of the hotel.

That was the first part completed.

The inside of the hotel was a lot dimmer than Azrael thought it would be. The room they walked into was a large storage facility where the toiletries and other necessities for the hotel were kept. They were all arranged in long rows of tall shelves that towered over Azrael. The Family Care employees chatted silently as they walked towards the door on the other side of the room, and the door opened to reveal a much brighter room.

This was the laundry room.

There were some workers handling laundry from hotel guests, and Azrael wondered why the hotel was employing the Family Care company if they had their own laundromat. Maybe they only used Family Care for the laundry that didn't need to be done immediately.

Azrael decided that it didn't matter.

They walked to the back of the room and started to carry large stacks of duvets and bedsheets, and Azrael immediately told someone at his side that he needed to use the bathroom.

The woman was one of the workers in the hotel, and she told Azrael that there was a bathroom if he just went down the hallway in front of them.

Azrael thanked her and then he left his trolley behind and walked away.

Azrael left his bag in the café since he didn't need it for this part of the mission, and as he entered the bathroom stall, he looked around for any cameras before he took off the keycard and put the jacket on to hide the Family Care outfit underneath. He then put on his facecap and left the bathroom.
