Sumatra's Greatest Fan-Chapter 61: I’m Aware
With the way twins develop biologically, their genetics were pretty much the same. There was a mild change, which caused Runthral to be born an Empyrean Snapper while Boiboi was born a Clansman.
However, they had the same level of Empyrean Snapper genes. This was why Eureur claimed Boiboi was a Deity in human form.
Cooter Clansmen were instinctively driven to prioritise their Deities. Boiboi was the only exception, since possessing the same genetics, he instinctively considered himself on par with the Deities, for he truly was one, despite not possessing their power or appearance.
That meant Boiboi couldn’t be controlled by anyone in the Cooter Clan. He was his own being, for unlike the Empyrean Snappers, he wouldn’t be burdened with the same level of responsibilities.
This aspect terrified Eureur, for it went beyond her common sense and her way of life. Not just her way of life, but the way of life experienced by every Cooter Clansmen since its origin.
But the fact that Boiboi was instrumental in elevating Runthral’s potential to levels beyond the 1st Empyrean Snapper was also true. There was a chance, which was what Eureur was betting everything on.
Because, if her plan succeeds, Runthral will become one of the strongest Deities of the Cooter Clan. ’If it works, my son will reach the same level of existence as Him!’
Cooter Representative–Wally!
Similar to Runthral, Wally was an Empyrean Snapper in human form. However, his strength had already outclassed the 1st Empyrean Snapper and continued to increase without any signs of reaching the limit.
The day Eureur gave birth to a pair of twins and figured out the relationship between the two, she put in motion a plan. 𝐟𝕣𝕖𝐞𝐰𝕖𝚋𝐧𝗼𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝗰𝐨𝐦
’Only with the Lightning Plasma Spirit Pool can Boiboi truly unleash his potential.’ She thought while eyeing Torq, ’Only this Spirit Pool will seamlessly integrate its power into the relationship they share.’
"Work hard, my son." She spoke after a few seconds of silence, once Torq had healed his damaged cheeks. "Endure for a year and I’ll ensure you scale up to the pinnacle."
"I will," Torq bowed in response, "I’ll try to survive till then."
"Remember this," Eureur warned, "No one will help you. No Cooter Clansman will ever lend you a hand."
"Every one of them will try to kill you, when given a chance." She continued, "The moment you leave Tsloch Vitara, be on guard."
"It doesn’t matter with my strength." Torq shook his head, "Anyone can kill me, since I can only rely on Gentle Coral for protection."
"Which is why, I’ll be training you." Eureur didn’t seem to mind his issues. She simply told him to be prepared, "Don’t think about the means to change your Spirit Pool. There are ways to do that."
"Now, it’s better you take your leave." She waved her hand, "This is the only time an exception has been made to allow your entry. Post this, you won’t be permitted to set foot in this place."
"Then," Torq frowned, "How am I supposed to receive training from you?"
He wasn’t really worried about training. However, since Eureur promised to legally grant him the Lightning Plasma Spirit Pool, which was his target all along, he intended to go along with it.
If he wanted to, he had the means to create the Lightning Plasma Spirit Pool using the Empyrean Snapper Pet. However, not only would it take a long time, the resources consumed would also be overwhelming.
Instead, through Eureur, he could get the Cooter Clan to sustain the costs, which would give him an easier time in growing his strength. His original plan would have taken close to a year anyway, just to gather the resources necessary to start his plan.
Based on their conversation, Eureur intended to support him for at least a short while. The only thing she wanted in return was his life, and that too only when Runthral reached the peak of his potential. ’He’s never reaching that point without my help.’
Since he held the cards and had the means to control the situation, Eureur’s proposition was only towards his benefit. ’And I do have the means to support Runthral without giving up anything that belongs to me.’
Therefore, his priority at present was to inherit Eureur’s knowledge as safely as possible. Torq knew plenty about the Cooter Clan, but that didn’t mean he knew everything.
In the previous timeline, he didn’t mingle around on Sumatra, but was instead making plans as a Transcendent towards his regression and reincarnation puzzle. He was bound to have missed plenty of information, especially since he had been focused entirely on screwing Nusantara’s Celestial.
"You will be trained." Eureur said and waved him to leave.
"But how?" Torq asked once again, only to be swatted towards the door by a powerful gust of mist. It casually overwhelmed his retaliatory response using Mystic Mist Art and plastered his form on the door.
"Leave," She said upon throwing a container towards him, saying upon seeing Torq catch the container, "That has what you need."
"Now, leave." As the door opened, a gust of wind pushed him out and promptly shut the door, followed by sealing it using a thick layer of mist.
Thud!
Finding himself kissing the floor, Torq groaned for a moment before getting up slowly. He then turned around and observed a layer of mist cover the living room’s entrance. Gradually, a gentle gust of wind acted upon him, pushing him farther and farther away from the house.
And as his feet slid on the floor, his visibility dimmed, until the entire courtyard was fully covered by mist. A minute later, he had been pushed out of the courtyard, following which the double door closed shut.
Ongle was waiting at the side of the entrance, prostrating on the floor. He promptly sprang to his feet upon seeing Torq, "Please follow me, Young Master."
"I’ll lead you to your dwelling."
"Alright," Torq nodded and watched Ongle descend through the flight of stairs for a fair distance, before turning right into one of the pathways. Soon, he arrived before a house carved out of a thick boulder, sporting an entrance two metres high and four metres wide. Water fell across the entrance, serving as a streamlined curtain.
A circular room was visible inside, with a radius of ten metres. Various apparatus had been placed in the living room, allowing the dweller to perform a variety of activities as necessary.
Towards the opposite end of the living room was a door, leading into the bedroom.
"I’ll take it from here." Torq said and walked into the living room.
"Please blow it if you wish to summon me." Ongle pointed at a horn placed next to the entrance. It was an aerophone, set to unleash a unique note of sound that the receiver could hear and immediately determine the source that had made the sound.
"I’ll be ready to serve any time," Upon saying his piece, Ongle walked away.
’This place is decent.’ Torq approached the bedroom first and closed the door shut behind him. It too was shaped into a circle, with a thin canal of water flowing through the corner.
A total of six steps spanned from the room’s entrance, leading into the bedroom that was situated higher up the cliff. It had a slidable shelf in the corner, behind which valuable medicines and the likes were stored.
A locking mechanism relying on Mystic Mist Art was installed, allowing only the owner to unlock it. Before embarking on a house tour and installing all security measures, Torq pulled out the container given by Eureur.
It was carved out of granite, appearing hollow since its weight was less than his expectations. There was a cap mechanism installed at the top, which Torq promptly unscrewed to notice something resembling a scroll placed inside.
A trace amount of mist seeped out as Torq pulled out the scroll, thinking it might contain some valuable information, like a map pointing towards a training location where all arrangements had been made beforehand.
However, the moment he touched the scroll, he was stunned, "This...familiar sensation."
Gulp!
Nervously, he unfurled the scroll, realising it was rolled up human skin. And the identity of the skin shocked him, ’M-Mother?’
Eureur had sent him her skin. And just as he was puzzled by such erratic behaviour, the mist leaking out of the container flowed into him, causing a set of words to pop up in his mind.
It was conveyed through Eureur’s voice, two short sentences in total. But those two statements caused his terror to worsen, ’That’s why I didn’t wish to deal with her.’
[I’m aware. Charge it up.]
