Sumatra's Greatest Fan-Chapter 77: Mystic Nature Art
Aged fourteen, it had only been two years since the teenager had become a Mystic Human. Majority of the Mystic Humans used to be Free Humans, who upon obtaining the cultivation technique of the Mystic Human Race, turned into one too.
Of course, the success rate was abysmal; from a city of Free Humans, at most one could succeed in becoming a Mystic Human.
Mystic Humans were Gold Grade existences, characterised by their race’s uniqueness in resistance towards external influences. The influence from Natures, the influence from a Minor Treasure, the influence from Natures similar to those of a Nirclick, all were fundamentally resisted by a Mystic Human.
The Mystic Human teenager shouted for a few more seconds and walked into the Settlement’s destroyed entrance. Many Pranic Beasts heeded the warning and squeezed for spots on the ground surface. 𝘧𝓇𝑒𝑒𝑤ℯ𝑏𝓃𝘰𝑣ℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮
However, with there being no free space, with Pranic Beasts piling upon each other to tussle and destroy each other, a horde still rushed into the underground portion of the Settlement through the broken entrance.
Primary Nature–Fat Globule!
Secondary Nature–Influenced Gobble!
The crowd of Pranic Beasts provided a perfect opportunity as Torq–in his Narlakk Pet transformation–released pollen and began to influence the Pranic Beasts.
’Damn!’ He frowned a few seconds later, noticing the pollen struggling to spread through the bodies of the Pranic Beasts. This meant the fat deposits in these Pranic Beasts had already been taken over.
Had it just been a Nirclick, Torq wouldn’t have faced any issues. Even a Narlakk wasn’t an issue, as the pollen released by Narlakk Nirrkarrlarr was significantly stronger. But the fact that his pollen was struggling to proliferate meant the pollen in the Pranic Beast bodies originated from a Narlakk whose strength was on par with Narlakk Nirrkarrlarr.
’I don’t sense any Quill in the vicinity, but there are bound to be a group of them here.’ Thinking as such, Torq increased the quantity of pollen released in the air, overpowering the opponent’s pollen by sheer magnitude.
And since the Pranic Beasts were within his Spirit Weapon range, he could control his ability and achieve dominance sooner than later.
And while doing so, he steadily moved towards the Settlement, taking advantage of the tussles between the Pranic Beasts. None of them found it amiss when a branch was moving across the place, since their bodies were launching trees all over the Settlement.
The branch was merely one of the many that were being sent flying over the place.
There was a flight of stairs heading deep underground from the broken entrance. The corridor was pretty narrow, spanning a metre in width and two metres in height. It was large enough for a Free Human to comfortably pass through but too narrow for most Pranic Beasts.
At the moment, those invading the tunnel were Beginner and Intermediate Iron Grade Pranic Beasts with narrow enough bodies.
The Pranic Beasts native to the Dralh Sea were like amphibians, equipped with the physique that allowed them to live in both water and on land. They can only survive for short durations on land, enough to endure through the Death Hour.
That was enough for survival.
It had a body resembling a dog, reaching a metre in length. The feet were formed using thick cartileges that served as both feet to move on the ground and flippers to paddle through the water.
Its neck stretched for a metre in length, and positioned at its head, serving as a head was something resembling the head of an angler fish. There was a tendril stretching from its forehead, which had a small bulb luminescent in nature.
Intermediate Iron Grade Pranic Beast–Knarwal!
With a Prana capacity of 599 and a lifespan of 80 years, the Knarwal was a Pranic Beast that moved in schools of its kind and combined their powers to kill their opponents.
Primary Nature–Heavy Belly!
The target of this Nature finds their belly growing significantly heavier in a matter of seconds, reaching weight on par with the rest of their body. This sheer weight disorients their balance, making them susceptible to external attacks.
This weight gain is achieved through mass addition, which relies on the regeneration property of the target’s Prana. Of course, the target’s Prana will resist its effects, making it a Nature with low efficiency of effectiveness.
However, it was a Nature whose effects could be stacked upon each other. Since a school of Knarwals would unleash the ability on the target, the target’s Prana wouldn’t be able to offer any resistance and only get consumed fruitlessly to increase the weight of the target’s stomach.
Heavy Belly, when deactivated, caused the bloated stomach to recover to its original form, with all the Prana consumed during the process to generate excess mass promptly being converted into Prana.
The Knarwals used their property during their movement.
Three Knarwals rushed through the tunnel, hopping and bounding around like frogs. They were chasing after a duo of Free Humans rushing down the stairs. The stairs zigzagged and winded downwards.
A Knarwal leapt towards a Free Human from the top of a stretch of stairs, making a beeline towards the bottom where the Free Human was running.
"Ack!" The Free Human shrieked and ducked to evade the lunging Knarwal.
Primary Nature–Heavy Belly!
The Knarwal increased the weight of its belly to alter its centre of mass and spun around its centre of gravity, allowing its stretching neck to curve downward and bite onto the Free Human’s sleeves.
As it fell forward, it dragged the Free Human with it, successfully nabbing the other party. Its neck coiled around the Free Human as the head went for a bite, unable to close, for the lower jaw had been ripped apart.
"Why are there so many Pranic Beasts seeking death today?" The Mystic Human frowned as he had arrived beside the bound Free Human. With a tug from his arm, the Knarwal got ripped apart into two, from the jaws.
He flung the torn corpse of the Knarwal towards its rushing brethren and stopped their charge. The two Free Humans at the scene rushed behind him, "Go down."
"Y-Yes," The Free Humans stuttered and rushed down the flight of stairs.
Primary Nature–Heavy Belly!
By now, more Knarwals had gathered on the stairs. Five of them gathered together and targeted the Mystic Human, stunned to see nothing happen to his stomach. Croaking in shock, more Knarwals gathered, and over fifteen of them unleashed their Primary Nature.
"I need rest," Groaning upon seeing his stomach begin to grow in size, the Mystic Human eyed the crowd of Knarwals, expressing anger, "Don’t complain I didn’t warn you guys, okay?"
His bulging stomach paused and began to shrink as a rigid presence wafted out of his being. The Mystic Human teenager got into a fighting stance upon severing his wrists. His fists hovered in the air and positioned themselves for a moment before rushing to pummel the opponents.
Mystic Nature Art–Spirit Weapon Switch!
