Chapter 82: Oblige Me, Won’t You?

"Huh?" Hurriedly rushing to the deck of Central Peak Battleship was Runthral. In a fluster, he sprinted towards the deck’s rear and eyed the Trailing Waves Battleship, ’Why is he harnessing my power now?’

’Did something attack them? There’s still two days left before we enter the Dralh Sea.’ He only pondered for a second before jumping into the water after leaving behind a word for Raurau, "I’ll be back in a minute, father."

"What’s happening?" Raurau frowned upon seeing Runthral’s actions. ’Why is he in a fluster all of a sudden?’

’Is it because of these?’ He eyed one of the horns on the deck that were used to communicate with the other Battleships. There hadn’t been any stirrup in the slightest, but he was aware the horn was a Nirclick in disguise.

Raurau’s senses alone were capable enough to see through the disguise of a Nirclick. A closure of his eyes, and he could detect more than a hundred Nirclicks disguised as regularly used objects on his Battleship.

’The same is true for the other Battleships.’ He eyed the Battleship on the front and the two on the sides. Then, he focused on the one at the rear, ’But there is no Nirclick on Trailing Waves.’

’There used to be around a hundred of them in Trailing Waves when we began our journey. But now, there’s none.’ He thought, ’Is that why Runthral is rushing there?’

He knew Torq was within Trailing Waves Battleship, which was why he could accept the Nirclicks getting wiped out. ’With his talent, and using Runthral’s power, this isn’t impossible.’

Slowly, his gaze fell upon his hands and watched them shudder at the thought, ’I...can’t!’

’I can’t do it!’ His eyes grew moist for an instant before hardening as he observed Runthral plunge out of the water and land on the deck of Trailing Waves Battleship.

Thud!

Runthral waved his hand at the Cooter Clansmen on the deck, "I’ll leave in a few minutes."

Since he was their Deity, the Cooter Clansmen nodded without hesitation and even offered Runthral their assistance.

"It’s alright, i’m only here to talk to my brother." Saying so, Runthral gained information about the cabin room where Boiboi had been posted and rushed to the location. He barged into the place and looked around in a hurry, noticing Boiboi seated at a corner, ’He’s here?’

Boiboi was doing nothing, seated still, without any stirrup in his surroundings, confusing Runthral, ’Then...why?’

Whether it be the air or the floor or their surroundings, Runthral walked into Boiboi’s Spirit Weapon range and felt no fluctuations from the other party, ’He’s not using Subtle Terrain Domination. I’m sure of it.’

"Then," He grabbed Boiboi and jumped through the hull to appear on the other side after leaving mild traces on the hull walls. Holding Boiboi by the scruff, he roared, "Why is my power getting used to such a high extent?"

"I’m not sure," The Boiboi Pet merely coughed once from the pressure on its neck, "Maybe you’re finally leaking your talents to me."

"You’re again starting that shit?" Runthral raged and slammed Boiboi Pet on the hull with force, causing droplets of blood to splatter in response, "You better tell me the truth."

"There’s nothing to tell you." Boiboi Pet rolled its eyes, "Try your best to extract whatever you want from me."

"I have nothing to say to you." Boiboi Pet spat out blood, "That’s all you need to know, my unfortunate brother."

...

Mother Island!

In the depths of its underground mine, was a bound Mystic Human.

Free Humans born with significant talent were selected to become a Mystic Human. Upon getting the opportunity, they were given an Elixir alongside an Information Slip containing knowledge of Mystic Nature Art.

The Free Human will reach the peak of the Spirit Stage thanks to the Elixir, having an entire year’s time to become a Mystic Human. Upon success, they will enter the quasi-Body Stage.

A Cooter Clansman entered this stage too, upon fusing their hundred Spirit Containers into a singular whole. Then, once they build their Spirit Container for 100 units of Prana using their Spirit Pool, they will officially enter the Body Stage.

For the Mystic Humans, they had to consume the bodies of two Pranic Beasts to enter the Body Stage.

Until they do this, they remain at the pseudo-Body Stage. This is when they were their most vulnerable.

Bitala, aged twelve, had reached this point around a month ago. He still had a few months of time left in his year’s limit, which was a show of his talent and compatibility towards the state of being a Mystic Human.

In a future timeline, Bitala was meant to serve as Torq’s vessel. Mystic Humans were one of the strongest races on Sumatra, and obviously had a heavyhitter powerful enough to contend against the enemy Celestial.

When Torq finishes his work in a timeline and regresses, a Minor Treasure is born with his powers and takes root in his previous vessel. This Minor Treasure influences the vessel to do everything Torq did in the respective timeline to achieve the same goals.

That’s why Torq intended to regress and reincarnate multiple times, because the invasion was happening simultaneously across various major powers and this was the only method to ensure the survival of all the heavy hitters.

His vessels already existed on Sumatra, with their respective origin and history involved. All seven vessels were already living their life on Sumatra.

Only Boiboi’s vessel, at the moment, contained Torq, and in extension, his power. But if the other vessels were already getting targeted, it meant the same shit will happen in future timelines too.

That would only make it harder and harder for him to survive and achieve what he intended to do in future timelines.

Since Bitala only had pseudo-Body Stage cultivation, he was incapable of freeing himself upon being bound by a mineral construct extracted from the tool of an Ewworm.

The tool was a large pillar reaching a height of four metres. And lodged in its centre was Bitala, with the only portion of his body uncovered by the pillar was his nose. Through the nostrils, the pollen would invade his body and do its thing.

Merged into his rectum was an Ewworm, taking care of his sanitation needs. The pollen in his body, when necessary, will also allow itself to be digested, generating Prana for the body’s upkeep.

This was Bitala’s sorry state of being, fully being used as a tool to serve the invader’s purpose. The moment Torq realised Bitala was one of the eight victims, he had rushed to the place as soon as possible.

This was to ensure Bitala would survive in the future timeline, when Torq is born in that vessel. In that timeline, he wouldbe waiting for Boiboi to save him. Without this action, only death awaited Bitala, making the entire timeline a worthless endeavour.

In his hurry, Torq had reached the location, only to find the final boss casually camping at the location.

Even though he was hiding well within the ground, having a significant layer of earth covering him to prevent any Prana detection means from noticing him, the other party still managed to sense him.

"Come out, Sumatra’s Brat." Seated before Bitala was a peacock covered by a pillar of light. Casually, it eyed in the direction of Torq’s hiding spot and made a pecking motion once, "I am curious to hear your last words."

"Oblige me, won’t you?"
