Super Gene Ⅱ: Evolution-Chapter 684 - : The Eerie God-making Egg
Chapter 684: Chapter 684: The Eerie God-making Egg
Lin Shen had not expected his luck to be so good, to have found the place where the spaceship stored the Primeval Eggs so easily.
As he entered, he saw that each crystal shelf had a label.
“God-making Egg No. 0018… Based on the Mutated Ascension Creature Red Demon King… Mutated Ascension Creature Evil Luo God General… Snow Clan Mutated Ascender Xue Qianhe…”
Lin Shen noticed that the creatures listed on the labels were initially Base Variant Creatures, but then a name from the Snow Clan appeared, which greatly surprised him.
“The materials used to create the God-making Eggs are not just simple Base Variant Creatures, but also species from the Great Universe?” Lin Shen had only just seen the name of the Snow Clan on the universal rankings, a bona fide member of the human race of the universe. He was astounded to find that the God-making Race even used the Snow Clan as material for creating God-making Eggs.
Lin Shen read each label one by one, and every Primeval Egg was based on at least two or more Base Variant Creatures, and inevitably one of the materials was a member of the human race of the universe.
On the labels of these God-making Eggs, Lin Shen saw many well-known species of the universe, with the Celestial Race and Di Man Tribe prominently listed.
Most of the God-making Eggs here were of Base Mutation level, with a small number at Ascension Level, and there were even a dozen at Nirvana Level. There was also a label on a God-making Egg that was astonishingly based on an Undying Creature of Immortal Level.
“Mutated Undying Creature Mirror Realm Nightmare Demon King… Ancient Clan Mutated Immortal… Name and origin unknown…” Although this God-making Egg was only based on two creatures, it shocked Lin Shen even more.
After the disappearance of The Ancient Realm King, the Ancient Dynasty had crumbled, and the Ancient Clan had almost perished. Now, it was long since people of the Ancient Clan could be seen. The fact that the God-making Race had found a Mutated Immortal from the Ancient Clan to use as material for creating a God-making Egg truly showcased their unimaginable powers.
Many of the crystal cabinets were damaged, and the God-making Eggs inside them were gone.
In a corner of this warehouse, there was a big hole, below which was the azure river. It seemed that many God-making Eggs had already fallen out from here before.
Lin Shen opened the cabinets and collected all the remaining God-making Eggs, preparing to take them all back.
With so many God-making Eggs, his Nirvana was no longer a problem, and he could even choose at will.
“I wonder if Wei can repair himself. With so many God-making Eggs, it’s not a problem for him to restore his Double Life Base.” Lin Shen thought about where to find a method of restoration for Wei, allowing him a chance to undergo Ascension again in the most perfect state.
Given Wei’s talent, if he could cultivate a Double Life Base and combine it with the Dual Nirvana Method, he would certainly become a towering pillar for the human race.
However, without the Dark Domain Lotus Seed, Dual Nirvana would be somewhat challenging. He could use the Nirvana of the Immortal Land in the ancient temple, though lacking the dual attributes of Dual Nirvana, it was still top-tier among Nirvana methods.
As Lin Shen was collecting the God-making Eggs, he was startled when the door behind him opened automatically with sensitive responsiveness.
Lin Shen cautiously surveyed the space beyond the door and discovered it was filled with devices resembling hibernation pods.
The lids on those devices were transparent, but from Lin Shen’s angle, he couldn’t see whether there were people inside the hibernation pods.
He cautiously collected the God-making Eggs, packed them away, and stored them into the space, and then he carefully entered the space where the hibernation pods were stored.
Peering inside one, Lin Shen’s expression immediately became strange. Just like the blue spheres, the pods were filled with liquid, and there were many blue fiber tubes connected to them.
However, this time, the blue fiber tubes were not connected to specimen-like creatures or pet eggs, but to a small God-making Egg.
Unlike the God-making Eggs in the crystal cabinets before, this egg looked like an ordinary poultry egg, its white shell harboring a faintly flowing liquid, from which one could even hear a faint heartbeat-like sound.
Unfortunately, there were no labels here, so it was unclear what level the God-making Egg was at, but its appearance was somewhat different from the previous ones, somewhat resembling the Primeval Egg that Wei Wufu had initially given him.
Lin Shen checked the remaining hibernation pods and found no creatures inside, and he didn’t see any more God-making Eggs; most of them were empty.
It wasn’t until Lin Shen reached the last hibernation pod that he saw another God-making Egg, except that this one’s shell had cracked open, revealing a creature that looked like a fetus within, with several blue fiber tubes connecting to the creature’s body, seemingly providing it with nutrients.
The creature looked somewhat like a newborn mouse that hadn’t yet grown its skin, its eyelids were still closed, and it had a plump, ruddy, pink tail.
“What is this thing?” Lin Shen was even more surprised to find that this creature had a flesh and blood body, rather than being a Base Variant Creature with a steel or crystal body.
Suddenly, as if on its own, the zipper on Lin Shen’s backpack opened, and Fei Zai (Fatty) jumped out, landing directly on that hibernation pod.
With one swipe of its paws, Fatty shattered the lid of the hibernation pod, and, like a bird of prey, it pounced inside, seized the creature within, dragged it out, breaking the blue fiber tubes connected to its body, then flung it into the air and gulped it down.
Fatty’s actions were smooth and swift, gulping down the creature in the blink of an eye, then circled in the air and pounced toward another hibernation pod that contained a God-making Egg.
Seeing Fatty smash the hibernation pod’s lid and get hold of the God-making Egg, tearing away the attached blue fiber lines, about to fling and swallow it, Lin Shen hurried over, grabbed Fatty, and pulled him into his embrace, catching the God-making Egg with his other hand.
“Don’t rush; let me study what this thing is first. If it’s useless, you can eat it,” Lin Shen said as he pulled out a Primeval Egg to feed to Fatty, who was wriggling in his arms, which calmed him down.
Yet, Fatty still stared longingly at the God-making Egg in Lin Shen’s hand, seemingly ready to pounce at any moment, ready to swallow it if Lin Shen looked away.
Seeing this, Lin Shen had no choice but to put Fatty back into the backpack. Then he held the egg that appeared like a pigeon’s and contained a faint heart, looking around, hoping to find useful information to understand what this God-making Egg was, and how it differed from those outside.
“Undamaged equipment detected, activate?” the mechanical wristband once again popped up a message.
“Activate.” Lin Shen, who was concerned about not making discoveries, looked over a workbench in front of him. It was after approaching this workbench that the mechanical wristband reacted.
