Super Gene Ⅱ: Evolution-Chapter 771: Who Doesn’t Have a Bit of Shine?
Everyone originally thought Lin Shen was heading into the combat arena, but to their surprise, Lin Shen simply walked to the side of the arena and looked at Wan Xinlong leaning against the wall inside, gasping for air.
"You’re a Wan?" Lin Shen said, looking at Wan Xinlong.
Wan Xinlong’s body trembled as he lifted his head to look at Lin Shen, his eyes filled with horror. "Who are you?"

A smile spread across Lin Shen’s lips, for he had confirmed this man was indeed from the Wan Family and finally understood why he appeared here.
"The Wan Family is having a tough time now, aren’t they?" Lin Shen continued to speak in a voice that only the two of them could hear.
"You... who are you really..." Wan Xinlong trembled.
"Who am I?" Lin Shen spoke indifferently, "I am a human, just like you. I used to take pride in my humanity, but now, you make me feel as if being human is a disgrace. Is this what you wanted?"
Wan Xinlong was silent, struggling greatly within himself. He didn’t want this either, but he had no choice.
The Wan Family needed someone to stand up; otherwise, they would vanish into nothingness in silence.
The cosmos was vast, and the Wan Family was too small—so small that a single malicious thought from someone else could plunge them into an abyss from which they might never recover.
"Do you really wish for this? Do you really plan to give up like this?" Lin Shen continued calmly, "You, as you are, cannot protect the Wan Family. You will only hasten their fall into the abyss. No one respects the weak, and no one will help a family that resigns itself to decadence. You are pushing your own family towards Hell."
"You... don’t... understand..." Wan Xinlong shook his head.
"Of course I don’t understand. I don’t get your self-righteousness - you think you are sacrificing for your family, when in truth it’s nothing more than your own wishful thinking. You’ve turned yourself into crap and yet you hope others will treat crap like an honored guest. Do you think everyone else is as sick in the head as you?"
Wan Xinlong’s eyes were bloodshot, but he clenched his fists tightly, and said nothing, bowing his head.
"A precious sword that can slice through iron and mud is treasured even if it wounds someone. No one would throw it into a cesspit after obtaining it, but instead would cherish it like a treasure, or even offer it on the altar. But when have you ever heard of someone caring about a pile of crap, or willing to honor it on an altar? Crap will always belong in the latrine."
Wan Xinlong’s body shuddered, but he still kept his head down and didn’t speak.
"You are a fine blade, capable of shining brilliantly. You could make your family a beacon that garners widespread attention. Yet you lead your own family towards Hell, wallowing in self-pity. It’s the height of foolishness."
"You haven’t been in my shoes. What right do you have to say such things to me?" Wan Xinlong raised his head, staring at Lin Shen with the fury of a wounded beast, restrained yet lost.
"I certainly have the right because I’ve been through even harder times, times that your Wan Family brought upon me," Lin Shen stated flatly.
"You..." Wan Xinlong’s eyes widened in disbelief.
"I used to consider the Wan Family my enemies, but now I find myself a bit ridiculous. The Wan Family will no longer be my enemy because you and your Wan Family aren’t worthy of being my enemies." Lin Shen stood up slowly: "Survive then, just survive like this. Some people are only fit to live this way." Your next journey awaits at novelbuddy
"Stop!" As Lin Shen turned to leave, Wan Xinlong suddenly shouted, his blood-red eyes fixated on Lin Shen’s back: "You don’t have the right to say that... What gives you the right to say that... You’re just as dependent on someone else’s wings... You grovel just the same... You... What right do you have to say that to me... You’re just luckier than me... Just luckier..."
"At least, I still carry light," Lin Shen said without looking back.
"Light!" Wan Xinlong stared blankly as Lin Shen walked away.
Everyone was somewhat disappointed; they had thought a human couldn’t stand by any longer and would take up the fight, but it turned out to be just a few words exchanged with Wan Xinlong before returning.
"Human beings are all the same; they only talk," the King said indifferently. "Human, fulfill your promise. Your life is still your own."
"Light... who the hell still believes in that stuff..." Wan Xinlong mumbled to himself as he slowly got to his feet, "You think I’m a fool, don’t you?" he kept muttering as he regained his footing and stepped toward Ku Lun on the opposite side.
"Are you still going to fight? With the next punch, I can’t guarantee you’ll survive," Ku Lun said coldly, staring at the swaying figure of Wan Xinlong.
"If you want my life, then come and get it." Suddenly, Wan Xinlong lifted his head, as red flames surged around him.
"If he wants to die, let’s fulfill his wish," the King said expressionlessly.
"Then go ahead and die," Ku Lun said with a cruel smirk, the Power of Nirvana erupting from him like a volcano, forming a terrifying torrent that converged in his fist.
The moment Ku Lun swung his fist, the Power of Nirvana transformed into a roaring dragon, surging towards Wan Xinlong with overwhelming force.
"Light, huh... It’s like everyone has it... I’ve been a damn fool myself..." Wan Xinlong held his head high, his eyes seeming to burst into flames as his body suddenly accelerated, charging towards Ku Lun’s Power of Nirvana like a sharp sword.
In a split second, as the dragon-like Power of Nirvana was about to hit him, Wan Xinlong’s body unexpectedly split into two, passing through the sides of the giant force as if two illusions, rushing towards Ku Lun.
With fanatic eyes, Ku Lun readied his fists to meet the approaching illusory duplicates of Wan Xinlong.
But the next second, Ku Lun froze in shock as the two illusions of Wan Xinlong again split into four, and four into eight.
In an instant, there were multiple illusions, each red image striking through Ku Lun’s body like arrows.
Frantically swinging his fists, Ku Lun had no idea which shadow to block.
His punches hit nothing but bubbles of illusion as more images pounded into him.
The shadows passing through him blasted his body into the air, and as he flew, more illusions blasted through him, creating explosions.
Boom!
Ku Lun’s massive body crashed against the wall, his Carapace shattered by the impact of the countless images, blood spurting from his mouth as he fell from the wall, struggling several times but failing to rise.
"Who doesn’t have a bit of light?" As the myriad illusions vanished, Wan Xinlong stood in the arena, his gaze turning toward Lin Shen.
