Chapter 171: Yatan Church
Dave looked at the quest notification, unable to believe his eyes.
"Wasn't Irene supposed to fall in love with Grid after Doran (her knight) told her how he was able to save her with Grid's help?" he thought as he glanced at Irene. Deciding to ask, he spoke up.
"Last time, your knight managed to save you. So how did he die if he was able to rescue you?" he asked.
Irene looked at him, her fists clenched in anger. "It was because of the mercenary he hired. That man abandoned him halfway through, leaving Doran to die while he escaped," she said bitterly.
Dave simply nodded.
"Hmm, well, Grid did technically die back then, but yeah, it does seem like that guy fled without helping Doran at all," he thought, deciding not to interfere further.
Dave recalled how Grid had died. At that moment, he had only one point of health left, and Doran had used him as a springboard to jump, which ultimately caused Grid's death. From Doran's perspective, it must have seemed like Grid had abandoned him, leaving him to die alone.
"Maybe that's how this misunderstanding happened," Dave thought. "But in the original story, Irene probably forgave Grid after he saved her again. Now that I'm involved, she can't forgive Grid anymore—especially if I end up killing the Eighth Servant, who is actually the player Yura, and avenging her mentor."
"I will help you," Dave said, and Irene nodded.
"I will stay here for the time being. My father said I should try to help you," she replied.
Dave looked at her and smirked. "That would be appreciated. Honestly, managing this territory alone is tiring. I'm more of an adventurer, not a ruler. Staying here alone was really killing me."
Irene smiled softly. "I understand," she said.
With that, Dave and Irene continued talking for a while longer.
Soon after, Irene left, arranging her own room. She wasn't alone—she had brought her maids and knights with her.
Just as Dave was dealing with some matters, a message popped up.
Emma: I found the location of the Siren Kingdom. That's where the Mumud Orb and its production method are located.
Dave, who was busy working, muttered, "Finally," as he read the message.
Dave: Okay, tell me the location. I'm coming there.
Emma: Okay, here it is...
Dave received the location details and nodded in satisfaction.
Dave left the affairs in the hands of Boa and Diana before heading to the location Emma had provided.
Soon, he arrived at the seaside, where he spotted Emma sitting near the shore. Her hair flowed freely in the night breeze, and her mage robes glistened under the moonlight, creating a breathtaking scene. Dave smiled as he walked toward her.
Emma leaned back slightly, sensing someone approaching, but Dave simply leaned in closer. Seeing this, Emma closed her eyes and tilted her head back slightly, allowing him to kiss her. Under the soft glow of the moon, the two shared a deep and romantic moment.
"You look beautiful," Dave murmured, breaking the kiss.
Emma smirked. "And you're quite bold," she replied playfully.
Dave chuckled, but before he could respond, Emma pulled him in again, kissing him once more. After sharing a few more kisses, they finally pulled away, catching their breath.
"Now, shall we get back to work, or do you want to log out and have some fun?" Emma teased, a mischievous glint in her eyes.
Dave shook his head. "Let's focus on the mission for now," he said firmly.
Emma smirked. "Good. Otherwise, you'd have to wait four months," she said cryptically.
Dave raised an eyebrow. "Four months? What do you mean?"
" well, the path leading to Siren kingdom only pens once in four months" she said as he nodded.
" now see this" She said pointing at sea as Dave looked at it.
Once every four months, two full moons would overlap in one night. When the coastal waters of Brinichi experienced a low tide, a secret path would be revealed.
The bottom of the sea showed a glittering path.
Splash splash.
"Let's go," Emma said as they walked along the open path. Their clothes grew damp from the sea breeze, but they paid no mind, continuing their walk hand in hand.

"It feels like we're about to do something romantic here," Emma mused, glancing at Dave with a playful smile.
Dave chuckled. "We can if you want to," he replied, smirking.
Emma smiled in response. As they walked, she suddenly took out a flute and began playing a soft melody. The enchanting tune resonated beautifully, making the atmosphere even more magical as they continued down the path.
The melody spread over the calm waves, its gentle tones blending with the rhythmic crashing of the sea. Emma, playing her flute under the moonlight, created a picture-perfect moment. Suddenly, a notification window appeared before her.
[You have played Laurelia's Flute. You can breathe underwater for 25 minutes.]
Emma lowered the flute and turned to Dave. "Your turn," she said, handing him the notes.
Dave took the flute, examining it for a moment before lifting it to his lips. He played the tune, following Emma's notes carefully.
[You have played Laurelia's Flute. You can breathe underwater for 25 minutes.]
"Let's dive now!" Emma said before jumping into the sea.
Dave followed immediately, diving after her.
As they swam deeper, they were greeted by a breathtaking sight—bioluminescent sea creatures illuminating the ocean with their ethereal glow. Schools of glowing fish swirled around them, guiding them along a hidden path. Following the trail of lights, they finally reached their destination—an ancient city beneath the waves.
[You are the first discoverer of the Siren Kingdom!]
[It is a place passed down in legends. If you create and sell a map of this place, you can earn great reputation and gold.]
[If you sell the map first to the 3rd Prince of the Saharan Empire, a quest will be generated.]
"So beautiful," Emma whispered in awe as they gazed at the magnificent kingdom before them. Towering coral structures intertwined with glowing seaweed, casting an enchanting luminescence over the ancient Kingdom. Schools of vibrant fish weaved through the currents, their scales reflecting the soft, blue light of the underwater city.
Dave nodded, equally mesmerized. "It really is," he agreed, his voice carrying a note of admiration.
Without hesitation, they swam toward the grand entrance, the gates of the Siren Kingdom standing tall before them.
