Chapter 172: Siren Kingdom
The Water Clan is a race of aquatic beings that lived in Siren Kingdom.
The Water Clan's physical characteristics were very similar to humans. They looked like humans apart from the gills on their shoulders and arms, as well as the sparkling scales on their thighs. It was easy to think of them as humans who could live in water.
However, their strength and magic power were several times higher than normal humans and the possibility of development was high. If they didn't have the fatal weakness of low fertility and not being able to live long on land, they would've built a civilization that would've surpassed humanity.
The water clan weren't aggressive. They knew satisfaction and didn't easily covet things. For them, the human race who didn't care about deceiving, stealing, or killing others was a target of disgust.
When Emma and Dave arrived right in front of the kingdom gate, they were seized by the guards. The two siren guards exchanged glances, surprised to see humans in their territory.
"Who are you?" one of them asked, his webbed fingers tightening around his trident.
Dave stepped forward calmly. "Hello, my name is Dave, and this is my girlfriend, Emma. We were exploring the sea and happened to discover your hidden kingdom," he explained.
The guards remained silent for a moment, their shimmering blue eyes studying them. Eventually, one of them nodded. "Alright, you may enter," he said, signaling for the gates to open. A magical current surrounded Dave and Emma, gently pulling them inside.
Emma glanced at Dave as they swam forward. "They seem so relaxed," she whispered. "Shouldn't they be more suspicious of outsiders?"
Dave smirked. "It's a hidden city, and sirens have lived in isolation for centuries. They don't have a history of war or crime, so they don't react to intruders with hostility unless given a reason," he explained.
Emma nodded in understanding as they observed the sirens around them. Unlike humans, sirens had varying skin colors, from deep blues to shimmering silvers. Gills adorned their necks, allowing them to breathe effortlessly underwater. Their movements were elegant, almost hypnotic, as they swam through the grand coral-like structures of their hidden kingdom.
" They sure are beautiful race" She said as Dave nodded,
"So, where is the production method?" Dave asked.
Emma shook her head. "I don't know exactly. Originally, I wanted the Braham Orb, but it has requirements far beyond my reach. So, I came here to find its disciple artifact, the Mumud Orb. It's also powerful, and according to my research, Mumud spent last of his days here in the Siren Kingdom," she explained.

Dave nodded. "Though, I think this is going to be difficult," he said in a low voice, noticing how the Water Clan people were giving them wary and distant looks.
"That seems likely," Emma agreed, glancing around at the sirens' cautious expressions.
"You should go back to your territory. I'll stay here and work for the next few months until I can earn enough trust to get the information I need," she suggested.
Dave shook his head. "It's okay. I'll explore the city first, and then I'll decide. I might stay and help," he said.
Emma nodded. "Alright, but be careful. We still don't know how they'll react if we ask too many questions."
With that, they turned their attention to the sprawling kingdom before them, preparing for whatever challenges lay ahead.
For the next few weeks, Dave and Emma worked tirelessly to complete as many quests as they could. From hunting down sea monsters that terrorized the Water Clan to handling various other tasks, they steadily built their reputation among the sirens.
Eventually, their efforts led them to meet the king—a towering figure who radiated authority but was also burdened by sorrow. It was well known that his only daughter had passed away, and he was still grieving for her loss. His tears, however, were an extremely valuable material, making them a rare and sought-after resource.
After spending some time with the royal family and completing their final quest, Dave made his decision.
"I'm leaving," he announced.
Emma nodded in understanding. He had spent a significant amount of time here, but now an urgent matter required his attention—he had just received word that Winston had been attacked by the Yatan Church, and he needed to leave immediately.
He kissed Emma one last time before turning to leave, swimming swiftly through the water. As he surfaced from the sea, he saw Leo waiting for him with the Wyvern of Diana.
"Lord Dave," Leo called out as Dave emerged. Without wasting time, they both mounted the wyvern, and with a powerful flap of its wings, they soared into the sky, heading straight toward Winston's territory.

Back at the territory, Irene was watching the battlefield with growing concern. Boa and Diana were fighting on the front lines against the constant assault from the Yatan Church's army, led by Yura. They were holding the enemy back from breaching the territory, but they were losing ground. Their forces lacked high-level soldiers capable of matching the enemy's elite spellcasters.
"Where is Baron Dave?" Irene muttered, her eyes locking onto the Eight Servant—the one responsible for her knight's death. The enemy was so close, yet there was no sign of Dave.
Kuuoookkk!
Suddenly, another knight collapsed, blood pooling beneath him as he fell lifelessly to the ground.
"You are here," Malacus sneered as he stepped forward, his sinister gaze fixed on Irene.
"Who are you?" Irene asked, though fear gripped her heart. Even the strongest knights around her couldn't stand against the Third Advancement (Level 300+) NPC, Malacus. One by one, they fell, unable to resist his overwhelming power.
"You don't need to know," Malacus said coldly. "Just come with us quietly."
Before she could react, she was caught by his dark energy, her body frozen in place. "No... let me go!" she struggled, but the demonic aura around her tightened, draining her strength.
"We have a sacrifice to make," Malacus sneered, dragging her away while the battlefield descended into further chaos.
